Estimate to fix $1900 to $2400. If this is a manufacturing defect, shouldn't gm resolve at no or nominal cost to owner of car?. It was September 9, 2005 when this automatic transmission torque converter issue occurred.

#2 - Automatic Transmission Torque Converter problem of the 2000 Buick Century
The transmission on my 2000 Buick Century fails to readily downshift on deceleration, and bucks severely during normal drive and may cause an accident. Repair shops have been unable to fix. This automatic transmission torque converter issue occurred Saturday, July 1, 2006.
