Buick Lesabre owners have reported 47 problems related to car stall (under the engine and engine cooling category).
The vehicle stalls without warning. It sometimes stalls while at a stoplight or while driving down the road/highway. I have had a complete tune up along with a fuel pump, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, air mass sensor and god knows what else. I have tried to find out who else has had the problem and they are many and the only common factor is that no one has found a resolution. Thank you, jerry bernier.

2002 Buick Lesabre 3. 8 l engine would be hard to start after it was driven and restarted after 15 minutes (or more) of being off. The car sometimes has to wait for . 5 hours before it will start. This happened a year ago also. I have checked the maf sensor. The car has also stalled while driving at low speeds. If I wait for 3 minutes to restart after stalling it will restart and usually go long distances 100 miles without failure.

While driving the vehicle stalled. The driver pulled over and turned the vehicle off, but was unable to restart it. Vehicle was then towed to the dealership, but the mechanic determined that the problem could not be duplicated. Vehicle would stall while driving at any speed. The fuel pressure regulator was replaced under recall 03054 and the ignition control module was also replace but neither of these repairs corrected the problem.
Loss of coolant. The plastic intake plenum got a hole in it. This filled the engine with coolant thus causing the car to stall on the highway. I had the defective part replaced at a cost of 900 dollars. I still have the defective part. I'm retired, so this put a strain on our budget. Thank you.
