car   Brake Foundation Components problem of Hyundai Tiburon

The car involved was a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon. Car drove fine one night, next morning the rear brakes were locked up. The car has 30,000 miles on it and the rear breaks were wore down just to where the warning squeal plate was starting to rub on the rotor (so there was still some pad left). I think what caused the brakes to lock up is the automatic adjusting screw for the emergency brake is too short and the brake piston had advanced all the way off of the screw which then caused the brakes to stick in position. While this did not cause a wreck in our case, I think it is a defective design and I am worried about it causing a wreck for someone else (or for us when these brakes wear out again at 60,000 mi). I would like to have these brakes looked at by an expert to determine if there is a potential danger like I think there is. car   Brake Foundation Components problem of Mazda Tribute

After the 2005 Mazda Tribute is highway driven for 4 to 6 hours the brakes fail to stop the car within normal distances. These failures, do not occur in around town driving; and cannot be duplicated by the Mazda dealership during around town test drives. As it only occurs after the vehicle has been driven for hours, and particularly in hot climates like arizona, it appears the problem is heat related. car   Brake Foundation Components problem of Nissan Titan

The vehicle is a 2006 Nissan Titan. Brakes - replaced 3 times within 16000 miles. Would have been more or sooner if I had known how to identify the problem earlier. There are no specific events that lead to the these warranty replacements. I was reassured that my normal driving did not contribute to the problems. Rear axle replacement - 15800 miles. This was also not due to my normal driving, as reassured by the Nissan service station. I was literally shaken off the road. The truck had to be towed back to the service station, after they told me that the vibration I felt was probably due to some tire cupping when I had brought it in the day before. The automatic transmission was jerking and running at higher than normal rpm in idle and reverse. New transmission valve body replaced under warranty at 15800 miles also. All the brakes were replaced merely 1 week after my new transmission valve body and rear end were replaced. I had driven almost 600 miles. I am now driving a rental car, paying out of pocket because I am too scared to lose control of a car that might have a total brake failure causing harm to myself or other drivers/pedestrians. I originally bought this car new in March 2006; with 6 miles on it. This problem occurred on December 20, 2006.
