The pads were low but did not were on metal. This issue happened on Apr. 2, 2014.

car   Brake Loud Noise problem of Chrysler Town & Country

The car involved was a 2008 Chrysler town and country. I noticed at approximately 48,000 miles that my 2008 Town & Country was burning oil during use with no visible oil leaks after taking the vehicle in for an oil change. The mechanic stated that the vehicle was 3 quarts of oil low when checked before draining the oil. I have been checking the oil once per month since. The vehicle now has about 73,000 miles on it and is burning approximately 1 quart of oil each 1500 miles driven. I have never owned a vehicle with this problem and have read other complaints on this site of this same issue. I am lucky that I caught the issue before serious engine damage and repairs were required like some of the other respondents. This issue should be considered for recall or extended coverage in the event that serious issues occur. Other issues I have experienced during my ownership of this vehicle I purchased new are the premature failure of the front hubs and premature wear of the brake components. The front hubs have failed on each side 3 times already in the 73,000 miles and now the drivers side hub is making a loud noise again signaling that it will need to be replaced soon. I have never had this issue with any vehicle that I have owned. To have it happen for the 4th time prior to 100,000 miles would seem to be a defect. The brake components seem to wear out every 15,000 miles and the rotors require replacement each time the pads wear out. This seems to be a quality issue with the parts both new and replacement. This brake loud noise problem happened on Saturday, April 5, 2014.

I took my car into the don davidson Ford dealership in arlington texas because it has been breaking weird, smelling funny, shaking hard & losing speed on the freeway(all at once) which it does spastically. The said they can't reproduce the problem so there's nothing wrong & gave it back to me on Friday. I went straight to the mall & it did it again so I took it back immediately. They kept it for a few hours & tried to give it back again, saying that I drove with the ebrake on (which it wasn't). Now I left my car there, they haven't done anything & I'm paying for a rental for the fourth day because I'm afraid to drive my own car. Ford corporate office told me it was my decision to drive it or not & they can't help. On the trip to the mall I heard a loud noise when I braked & now the rotors are messed up too. I don't know what to do, I still owe $34,000 on my 2013 Ford Edge and it has been recalled for brake issues but they won't help. This issue happened on Fri., Feb. 21, 2014.

car   Brake Loud Noise problem of Honda Accord

The vehicle had a crash. I recently had a very serious issue with my 2013 Honda Accord regarding unintended acceleration. While pulling into a parking spot at a garden nursery I applied the brakes but they did not respond in anyway, the engine then revved up making a loud noise, the car lunged forward over several railroad tie barriers, bushes, hit a truck that was parked in the lot and came to rest in a mulch pile. Luckily the truck and mulch stopped the car and I was able to put it into park and turn it off. There is considerable amount of damage to the side of my car and the property of the nursery. This happened on may 8, 2014 at 5:00 pm. It was a gravel parking lot, dry sunny day. This Honda was purchased new in 2013 and is a 4cyl with cvt transmission and has approximately 13,000 miles. The car had to be towed to the dealership where it sits now waiting for a Honda representative to investigate this issue. It was a blessing that no one was standing in front of my car. The car is a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe. The VIN of this Santa Fe is 5NMSG13D79_. We have been complaining about the brakes on this car since we bought it. The brakes have been making noise when you depress the pedal. We were told by the dealer that it was the "breaking in" period. The brakes were making loud noises and not working correctly when we brought the vehicle in for service on sept 12, 2011. The rear brake pads were sticking to the rotors overheating the rotors. The pads and rotors had to be replaced. We just brought the vehicle in again for service and the indication is the all the brakes may need to be replaced. This is at 22,000 miles. There is a serious problem with the brakes in the car and the dealer can only explain that it is due to the hills in our town and that the brakes are no longer made of asbestos. I never replaced my brakes in other cars until I had between 35k & 45k miles and I have lived in this town for 30 years. I believe the "breaking in" period for the brakes is broken! Today it has approx 73,000 miles. Since owning it, I have had several problems which were all out of warranty and which I feel were unwarranted and were not seriously attended to by mb or the dealer: this complaint form was very difficult to complete according to the fields provided. The equipment information included is not correct and was included just to get to the form. I felt that the problems with the car should be reported specifically the esp light and the air bag problems at about 51,000 miles, the airbag became inoperative. I was told that it would cost about $2000 to repair and correct. Dealer offered a small adjustment. I chose not to make the investment. At about 65,000 miles, I began having very loud noises that seemed to come from the crankshaft and appeared to be a brake problem. Dealer did try to determine what it was, but couldn't isolate the problem unless "he had to take the whole car apart" there was a related problem because the esp light would come on intermittently that the dealer advised could not be isolated unless I did the work on the brake and the crankshaft:" at about 72,000 miles, the car developed oil leaks from the motor. Est. Cost of repair was $2000. We are watching and waiting. In may, I was advised that there is a recall notice on the cruise control of the car. No word on that issue since. Because of the cruise control notice I received, I was prompted to write you about these other issues and became further concerned about the esp light and the faulty air bag the care has had. , car is driven an average of 150 miles a week in mostly city driving. Car is serviced but not by the dealer because of the high cost and relative dissatisfaction from the service provided. Updated 07/27/11. This issue happened on Jun. 1, 2004.

The parts were over $600 and labor also over $600. While vehicle is 10 years old this type of problem seems to be a defect issue and not wear and tear. car   Brake Loud Noise problem of Volkswagen Jetta

The vehicle is a 2005 Volkswagen new Jetta. Shortly after I bought car I noticed a noise coming from (sounded like) engine. I also noticed car not changing gears smoothly. Felt as if it was having a hard time shifting especially up hill, I took the car in and was told this is just how a vw shifts and sounds. I told them I did not notice it when I initially owned the car. They ran a diagnostic since now the engine light is on the windshield wipers come on at their own will, the clock looses time constantly, and the noise has got a lot worse and so has the gear shifting. The diagnostic they say showed the dual fans are both burned out. If they are burned out why are they still making a loud noise several seconds after I turn the car off? they have also told me no transmission problem exists but another dealer told me they cannot know that because the diagnostic will not pick up on a bad transmission only a totally failed one. Which the car will be out of warranty then. These cars have obvious transmission problems and electronic problems that are being ignored. After having all this problem I looked on internet and was astonished at the number of people with all the same problems as me. Slow and hard shifts, wipers, car acting as if it is stalling, clock losing time, battery going bad too quick. Brakes constantly bad. This car is just a lemon. Why will the government not do a total recall. There is tooooooo much wrong with tooooo many of them. It was Oct. 1, 2008 when this brake loud noise issue happened.

car   Brake Loud Noise problem of Buick Lesabre

The vehicle involved was a 2000 Buick Lesabre. On December 12, 2009, I was driving down the road and made a right hand turn. At that time, my car made a loud noise (my husband thought I ran over a trash can) the brakes immediately came on and the car pulled to the right. I moved forward again and immediately the brakes came on again and pulled the right. The stability system activated came on. I had to drive very slow to get my car home and this happened the whole way. I was very close to my home. A computer has been put on the car and the codes don't make sense to the mechanic. The car was then towed to the garage, has been there since 12/17/09 and they can not figure out what is going on. If I would have been out on the highway we would have been killed. What auto CO. Would put a system on your vehicle that would throw your brakes on for no reason. It was Saturday, December 12, 2009 when this brake loud noise issue occurred.

car   Brake Loud Noise problem of Cadillac CTS

The vehicle having this issue was a 2004 Cadillac Cts. Hi ever since I purchased the car when driving at very slow speeds and turning the vehicle the brakes lock up and stop working. When pulling into and out of parking spots or driveways the car makes a loud noise and shakes a little like if the brakes are trying to work but dont. This only has happened about 2-3 times per year since I had the car and since then had many parts replaced but it always seems to come back. I did searches on the computer and found many others with the same problem and read that one dealer replaced a wiring harness and solved the problem where most dealerships have no idea how to fix this issue and many people just replacing parts after part with the same issue coming back. This to me is a very important safety issue since during those times you can not stop the car and and is not a safe situation. I also seen people making reports to this website and figured I would do the same since it needs to be addressed and its many people with the same issue. Thank you for your time. This problem occurred on 12/01/08.

car   Brake Loud Noise problem of Jaguar S-type

The vehicle having this issue was a 2001 Jaguar S-type. When I bought the car a week later it blew hot air, I was told it only needed freon. I found out later that there was a leak and it is $1200. A week after that the car would not start the dealer picked the car up and said that the battery was dead because I left the radio on, it has happened over 30 times, not true there is something wrong. I have replaced tires at least six times. Tires completely separate. I was driving and car slowed down on freeway and I was almost hit, I pulled over and it stopped and did it again and I had to push the traction control button, almost cost me my life! it now happens when I hit a bump. When I turn the car makes a extremely loud noise, (embarrassing) I was told it is a ball joint and can catch on fire. Engine light has always been on and is now blinking and the car shakes and hesitates. I had to pay to get the brakes fixed 2 months after purchasing. Radio turns on for no reason and runs battery down. I was told I have two leaks in my shocks and it is $1800 each. When I back up and turn the steering wheel vibrates. I can't even use the cigarette lighter to charge my cell because it does not work and has been replaced twice. The remote just stop working and I was charged $100 to reconfigure. The brakes act funny, can't even explain it. This car is unreal, a complete piece of junk. I can't even remember half the stuff I have endured and the money I have spent. This issue happened on Sunday, January 1, 2006.
