The vehicle involved is a 2000 Ford Windstar. The repair that the did in 2011 to the frame was in my opinion a death trap and I would suggest that you send a inspector to inspect the repair that Ford said they did to these frame work, the strap that they put on the frame in my opinion is like putting a band aid on a third degree burn. I took the vehicle back to Ford dealer in hackensack NJ and they are giving me a hard time, my vehicle has been there from Friday and today is Saturday @ 1430 they still haven't look at it, maybe because of the color of my skin the really don't care, but I don't think safety should come down to the color of a person skin. car   Clunking Noise problem of Jeep Grand Cherokee

Good evening, I own a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo 4x4. I had bought my vehicle a few years ago with about 18,000 miles on it. After taking it for a test drive there was a slight clicking noise from the front wheels. After today, the clicking noise seems to get louder at driving 25 mph. I tried to troubleshoot the problem by researching similar instances on the internet. There was a general consensus that a bad u-joint was the culprit due to a lack of permanent grease that should have been used by the manufacturer. Given that this can lead to the vehicle losing control when the u-joint snaps can be lethal. Please inquire whether this is a feasible issue that can be recalled for my vehicle. Thank you. The car also pulls to the right at low speeds. Again I'm told this is normal and is a result of the run flat tires. If so, they should use other tires. car   Clunking Noise problem of Toyota Camry

The car is a 2008 Toyota Camry. Front end making rubbing and clicking noise while driving in reverse with the wheel turned; does not happen while driving forward and does not happen when the wheels are straight. I've had it in the service department of cramer Toyota twice. Both times they say the noise is coming from the plastic wheel well rubbing. The first time they replaced a bolt and now they have removed one of the covers. While trying to determine where the noise is coming from the front struts were discovered as leaking by tire kingdom. I returned the vehicle to cramer Toyota and explained the struts are leaking and they agreed. When asked if this was normal for a vehicle with only 50,123 miles I was told "it is not common, but not unheard of. " this was the exact same answer I was given for my cracked and leaking battery which was discovered the first time I had it in for the noise. I have never had to replaced the struts in a new vehicle before. . . Why should Toyota Camry's be any different? it appears this is a defect the manufacturer does not want to own up to. Toyota wants $850 to replace the front parts only. Tire kingdom, who discovered the problem while rotating and balancing my tires, wants $600 to replace the front parts only, but suggests the back be done at the same time for even where on all four sides. How many complaints does it take to get action with regards to a vehicle defect?. This clunking noise problem happened on Mon., May. 23, 2011.

car   Clunking Noise problem of Volkswagen GTI

The vehicle was a 2007 Volkswagen Gti. I own a 2007 Gti which has what I believe and many other owners, a defective subframe of the vehicle. My incident began summer of 2007 after less than a year of ownership my vehicle started showing symptoms of clunking and snapping sounds coming from the underneath of the car in the front. I went to the dealer several times to repair it and out of all the visits of which I only got 5 receipts and 2 attempts at repairs the problem still continues. It has begun to be harder to replicate in some instances and when I did I finally decided to make a video of the issue. The service dealerships refused to use the tape as proof so I moved onto contacting vwoa of which it did not get me far. I supplied the videos and repair bills and unless I can replicate the sound at the dealer they cant help. So I finally replicated my defect at another vw service center and a service manager who is well aware of the issue, and willing to work with me and vwoa. I contacted vwoa after the visit and have yet to hear a response. What the service manager showed me was pretty much what me and the several people presume is manufactured wrong. The subframe on the vehicle seems defective. It also seems that the subframe puts some emphasis on the steering components on the vehicle which may cause potential problems even hazards if investigated further. As of right even after given repairs, my car is still having problems, snapping sounds during the vehicle turning or clunking sounds under engine loads and transmission loads. No solution has been offered to me by vwoa other than try to replicate the problem which I already have with a very willing person to help but vwoa has yet to contact me back its been over a week. car   Clunking Noise problem of Volvo V70

The VIN of the car is YV1LZ5644W_. I have a Volvo V70 xc, awd, 1998. I brought the car to a Volvo dealer, smythe Volvo, for a routine repair of clunking noise I heard. They said it was due to a strut problem, but also found several un-related repair items. All together, they spent two days on repair and charged me $1700 for it. On the same night that I got the car back, the engine died on the freeway without any warning before, during, and after the incidence. I almost got killed on the freeway. I was able to slide it out of the freeway ramp and had the car towed back to the dealer. On the 3rd day, the dealer said it was an engine sensor failure but had no explanation of why there was no warning signal to user, and why they couldn't pick up any sign from the prior two days of repair. If what they said was true, there is a very serious safety issue here that could impact the lives of millions of drivers out there. Please clarify for me if this issue was known to the NHTSA and what Volvo as a company should do or have done about it. I'm afraid to drive the car under the circumstances and would like to see this issue got answered quickly. This clunking noise problem happened on 12/22/05.
