Hose and tube,heater return,heater supply and return asm Chrysler pn 04677603al has 2 plastic y-connectors(going to front seat heater,rear seat heater and transmission) that splits at the seam and antifreeze sprays onto hot engine causing steam that impairs vision of the road. The one that split on ours was the y-connector closest to the engine block(probably gets the hottest antifreeze). The local Chrysler dealer parts person says they probably sell 3 of these $105. 00 plus tax asm per week so he knew what I needed before I finished telling him all the details. He just needed my VIN no. To get the right pn as there is yet another pn for the 3. 8 litre engine that has the same issue (and maybe other pns for other engine sizes. The dealer says there is no recall for this common failure on the 2008-2012 models.

While driving on highway at approx. 50 mph, the "batter saver" message appeared on the dash display followed by multiple systems shutting down along with multiple fault lights including brakes, abs, bat. The engine stopped running and there was minimal control of the vehicle. Steering & braking were almost non existent. After pulling to the side of the highway, there was a strong electrical smell coming from the engine compartment. Upon further investigation, the smell was coming from the alternator. No electrical power was available to lock/unlock doors, turn on hazard lights, or place the car in neutral in order to pull the vehicle on to a tow truck.

Spark plug blew out of motor I am the original owner of my truck. I have always had the Ford dealership perform the tune-ups because I am aware of the ongoing problems with the Ford 5. 4 engine and spark plugs. I had my daughter in the truck with me at the time of the spark plug coming out and catching on fire. This is completely un-acceptable, Ford motor company obviously knows about the problem. But nothing has been done to correct the problem. I am extremely upset about the dangerous situation this put me and my family in. There is nothing Ford could ever do to help "make things right" if something were to happen to my family. I sure hope that Ford can be responsible enough to correct this problem before someone gets hurt.

I was driving down the road at 45 mph in 5 o'clock traffic and a stop safely now message came on my message board and immediately shut my truck down on the road blocking traffic and I was pulling a dump trailer. On 08/17/14 at approximately 15:30, I was backing up in my driveway from a major roadway and my vehicle suddenly lost all power, steering and brakes. I looked at the driver information center and it said something like "power loss" and "battery". I was in too big of a hurry to put it in park and restart the vehicle and get out of the road to concentrate on what it was saying. I signed a lease for this vehicle on July 3, 2014 and actually was told after I signed all the papers that my vehicle was one that was involved in the ignition recall and to please drop it off at this dealer on Monday, July 7, 2014 so they could replace the ignition. On Monday,July 7, 2014, the dealer picked my vehicle up from my workplace, I'm just down the road. I picked my vehicle up on my way home. From that time forward, I noticed occasionally I was unable to turn the key in the ignition. Like sometimes when your steering wheel is just wrong. After a few attempts, I was able to start the vehicle. This happened maybe 5-6 times. On 08/18/14, I tried to contact my salesman and he is on vacation until next Monday. I have not called the dealer back yet to report this, I am at work. My motivation for reporting this is that the ignition was replaced because of the recall. Now, I don't know that that is the reason for the power failure on Saturday, but I am suspicious of that replacement ignition. It's a brand new vehicle!.

While trying to accelerate during a left turn, the engine completely lost power and the accelerator would not work. All engine warning lights came on. We nearly avoided an accident by coasting into the center lane. I had to turn off the car and restart in order to gain the ability to accelerate again, but all the warning lights remained on. Drove it to the dealer, but they have yet to be able to determine what the problem is. This is the 3rd time this has happened - all during the first 5 minutes of driving during the morning. The last incident could have resulted in a serious crash.

I was driving on highway 95 south when my car would not accelerate while I was in the middle lane. I quickly attempted to switch to the right lane as there were many cars and trucks on the highway. I finally pulled the car over to the shoulder when it began to smoke. I do not believe it was a fire, but I am not sure. I do believe it was the transmission. Engine turned off while I was at a stop light. I notice something was wrong when the car suddenly went silent without even the typical engine vibrations. The check engine as well as other notifications were illuminated on the dashboard. I cannot say exactly which ones because I was too focused on getting my car out of traffic. I turned the ignition key off and on again and that seemed to fix the problem (or at least the car started again and no warning lights were illuminated. ) this is an incredibly scary problem and I am thankful it happened while I was at a stop and was able to quickly get out of traffic. At approximately 12:50pm, while driving in sport mode, going up a hill, I was accelerating normally at a reasonable pace after making a right-hand turn. The acceleration pedal around 30 mph disengaged from my foot and floored itself, and continued accelerating. Despite pushing on the break pedal repeatedly. I could not initially un-stick the accelerator pedal using my foot. The engine made some noise and a warning with a red light appeared on the instrument panel: "service electronic throttle". Because the breaks were not working I engaged the gear shift to turn to the vehicle from s/sport mode back to d/drive mode. I pressed the break pedal again and again, still nothing. The Jeep reached above 72-77 mph+ on that street highway. I was well beyond concerned for my own safety but for the safety of the intersection in which I was about to approach. Finally, I wedged my shoe in between the floor and the accelerator pedal (which was difficult b/c it would not budge), the pedal finally released, but there was still no immediate reaction from the engine until 1-2 complete seconds later. I could have been seriously injured, seriously hurt others, or died.

I was turning into a parking space going approx. 2 mph when suddenly the car accelerated so fast that it jump onto the curb and hit a tree. Luckily, I did not hit a person or another car. I decided time is getting late, forget it, I will buy and external charger in indiana. When I replaced the fuse cover and closed the hood. The car would not start, the bcs warning came up, and the hazards began flashing, and crash warning light came up. I could not push brakes, turn steering wheel, turn off lights, remove key, put in neutral, lock car or start the car. I had to get towed to the lr dealership in chicago where my vehicle remains. I am submitting this because lr said that this is a rare occurrence and they have done very little of providing answers. I was prepared to drive3 thru the allegheny's, what if this would have happened as I was traveling back to DC? who else could have been harmed by my system seizing up? I literally would have lost control of my vehicle. Especially with 36k miles and still under warranty.

We have a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder sl, with 3551 miles on it. We purchased it used on 8-6-2014 with approximately 2240 miles on it, we are the second owner. On 8-20-2014, while attempting to access an interstate from an on-ramp we experienced a shutter and strong shaking of our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder sl, at that time it had approximately 3336 miles on it. We were forced to pull over, almost causing an accident. We turned the car off and restarted it to continue on the interstate but did not experience another incident that day. The following six days the car began doing the same thing but it would usually be several times a day. I did research on the transmission and found that the cvt transmission is rife with problems. We took the car to the local dealership (not where we purchased it) and they ran a dynamometer diagnostics on the car and said that the transmission would need to be replaced. As we were discussing this issue the tech mentioned that the records showed the transmission in this car had already been replaced once before, at approximately 2000 miles. Also, I was informed by the dealership, who is going to replace the transmission, that they have been unable to get through to the Nissan "cvt hotline" to report the problem and arrange for a new transmission. We have been told by the dealership that it will be replaced but that Nissan is the hold up. It is extremely unfortunate that a car manufacturing company can get away with this and force customer to wait for a resolution when they know (and have known for years) that there is a problem. I sincerely hope that there will be a push by our government to resolve this ongoing problem with Nissan and possibly a very large fine for Nissan's deceptive practices by denying this problem, based on other people's reports who had reported this same cvt transmission problem dating as far back as 2003 .

I was traveling on a freeway at approximately 60 mph. The vehicle abruptly lost power when I "stepped on the accelerator" to compensate for a slight upgrade on the freeway, and subsequently slowed to approximately 20 mph, forcing me to pull onto the shoulder and stop the vehicle. The vehicle idled normally while parked on the shoulder; however, the vehicle had no power, would not accelerate above 20-25 mph, and forced slow travel on the shoulder of the road in an attempt to reach the nearest off-ramp. . I was forced to travel along the shoulder of the freeway at approximately 20 mph for two or three miles. Each time I attempted to "step on the gas" while traveling of the shoulder of the freeway, the engine would "stumble", appear to lose power, and force me to let up on the "gas. " after traveling on the shoulder of the freeway for two to three miles, the vehicle abruptly regained power and allowed me to resume freeway travel at 55-60 mph. Prior to the 24 August, 2014, incident on the freeway, the vehicle momentarily lost power when accelerating on a freeway on-ramp; however, the problem was only a momentary event that corrected itself in a few seconds.

2012 vw Golf tdi (diesel) vehicle began losing power on acceleration from a stoplight and began clicking. Check engine and glow plug lights flashed. Power was reduced to 15% and limped to shoulder. While driving at speed tachometer dropped to 900 rpm from about 3500 with an 18 wheeler not more than 6 car lengths behind me, needless to say if it weren't for diving onto the shoulder as is decelerated rapidly to 20 mph in a matter of seconds I would have been rear-ended with my family in the car. This is a known issue. Volvo has extended the warranty on some of the etms to 10 years/200,000 miles. When I called Volvo to ask if this model was part of that extended warranty they told me that it only covered '99-01' and that they would not repair it as " things break when they get old", and that I should drive it to the shop for diagnosis, at my own peril. They also informed me it would take a class action lawsuit to change this. Why should it take a lawsuit or death of a whole car full of people to get someone to take accountability for use of substandard parts? I drove the car home in "limp mode " and parked it. Today I went out to see if it would run and drive, to my amazement it did, so I took it for a little test <5 miles, and it did the same thing again, this time I was prepared. He went inside our house less then 1 minute after turning off car and parking car and was in the house his car alarm went off. He went outside to see what was wrong with his car and noticed smoke coming from under hood of car. Then fire engulfed the engine department. Called 911 and fire department came out to stop the fire. They broke wind shield to get to engine and cut up hood to open hood. Fire inspector came out and is filing report.

Near miss a couple times. . . . . . . . . . Whenever sitting still for a period of time then go to take off there is a big bluish gray smoke cloud. At the same time the car will take off then do a jerky stop and go again. I've almost been rear ended many of times. If sitting somewhere for longer then 2-3 minutes the car is surrounded by this smoke. Its a known issue with BMW. To me this is a safety issue along with environmental and health issue.

Shortly after returning from running errands, the parked car was observed smoking from under the hood. This was followed by flames fully engulfing the front end of the car, resulting in the tire exploding and schrapnel being launched.

Went for inspection, shell cardinal forest, springfield, va. Inspection rejected due to faulty/worn out/dangerous motor mounts. Mechanic said design flaw. Lindsay Cadillac service manager admitted "different" design than other Cadillacs. My wife and I, ages 55 and 70, have owned numerous vehicles, including 3 Cadillacs, and have driven cars well over 100k miles, including far less expensive cars. Have never heard of motor mounts falling apart or even wearing out, especially not at 79k miles. Cheaper cars we've owned have never developed such a serious problem at that mileage. Shell said this should not happen. We have asked parts be saved for your inspection. Cadillac wanted $1,750 to replace for their defective design. We would think the danger of having the engine fall out of the car would be a significant safety issue.

I was accelerating away from traffic lights and the throttle jammed open. I had to switch into neutral to reduce the revs and bring the car under control.

While at a stop light, engine revved up and the car started rolling forward. I had to brake hard to stop it. This happened about 3 more times over the next 2 months. One time the engine raced very high and I had to put it in neutral to avoid crashing. At 5000 miles I took it to the dealer who said they could find no diagnoses from the auto computer and could not replicate the problem. They claimed to have no knowledge how to fix, but now I see a number of reports on the internet about Jaguar rapid and unexplained acceleration problems. I feel Jaguar is not being honest about this problem -- and it is dangerous condition.
