car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Chevrolet Uplander

The vehicle is a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. I have noticed right around the time I got this van that just it just started making this clunking sound coming from the rear end and making a noise that I couldn't figure out. The drop down modular has been really bogging down around 50mph and makes me give it more gas to stop the kick back. The engine light came on after buying a set of 4 new tires for the van. I bought what the van recalled and the check engine light came on and wont go off. I have had it checked out and still wont shut off. I have kept the oil changed at required times. I noticed the fuel system also has been giving the van a harsh mpg issues and not sure why. I think it might be the drop down modular that is causing this problem. I now been having since 2011 the clunking sound coming from the rear end axel area and then after reading about the recall today really made me scared to drive this van because I'm disabled and in a wheelchair. I have the lowered floor option and I know its going to need this recall fixed and welded. Please send me a email on how I can get this van fixed. I wanted to also tell you that this van was sold to me at $32,850 and had a blown engine that they didn't tell me till afterwards. At 20,000 miles the van blew up and they sold it to me as new and it was used. They also tried to sell me a extended warranty that was paid for by the manufacture for $3,500. I feel I was done wrong and would not of bought this van if I had known it was blown up at 20,000 miles. I would like to request a review to have it inspected and fixed with the welding that the recall calls for. Thank you. This issue happened on January 14, 2011.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2006 Chrysler 300. VIN of the vehicle was 2C3KK53G26_. The noise started over a few months to now a gradual loud metal "ticking" noise when idling . car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Dodge Durango

The car was a 2004 Dodge Durango. On April 11, 2014, my three young children, boyfriend, and myself(pregnant) stopped at a red light. As the light turned green I began to accelerate; that's when I heard a loud popping sound. At first I thought maybe my tire popped. I was barely able to pull off the 4 lane street I was traveling on without getting hit. Once I pulled over I realized oil leaking from underneath my truck. I was able to take the truck to a service station that was located across the parking lot and was told the engine failed. The truck still starts but makes a loud clicking noise. This truck has been well taking care of and maintenance regularly. I have done research on the issue and have found this has been an on going issue with Chrysler. I don't understand why there hasn't been a recall on this issue. I had no warning signs of any issues with my truck and now this. This is such a disappointment. The failure date was April 11, 2014.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of GMC Yukon

The car is a 2007 GMC Yukon. Started the motor in the morning noticed a light ticking noise come from the motor. Sounds like the lifters are tapping. The noise use to only be in the morning but now it is constant. Took it to a repair shop for a diagnosis was informed that the lifters are going bad!!!!! was told it was going to cost around 3000. 00 to fix the problem. After doing some research on the internet I could not believe how many other gm owners were having the same problem. Please investigate this problem and have a recall placed on these motors I think it is unfair that we have to pay out so much money to own a nice car just to have it turn into a big pile. My low millage car sounds like it has 200000 miles on it. This engine clicking and tapping noises problem happened on Dec. 18, 2013.

The vehicle do not get the 32 mpg as what is stated, I get about 20 mpg highway. The gas needle does not work properly. I will fill up and still show 1/4 short. The leather seats are buckling and dealer says its normal but know others with leather seats & not happening to them. Recently took in for "service engine" light and malfunction light. This is new car & none of these issues should be happening this soon. I feel like it's a "lemon" and dealer is no help and these problems will compound as car gets older and warranty is over I will be out of luck. Unhappy customer. car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Acura RSX

I purchased a 2005 Acura Rsx type-s about a year and half ago around 4/20/05. I drove it for about 4 months and I started hearing a clicking noise coming from my suspension, I brought it back to the dealership and they installed a new strut. The next month the same problem occurred and they had to replace the other side of the strut. That same week my car started drifting to one side and my steering wheeling wasn't aligned, I bought it back and everything was okay. The next month I still heard the same clicking noise but I didn't have time to go to the dealer. That same week, I heard a tapping noise coming from my engine, I didn't know what it was so I kept driving. Next day, it got worse and I knew there was something wrong, I checked my oil level on a sloped hill but didn't realize it, and it didn't read properly. So, I added two quarts of oil to the engine, but it still had that same tapping noise from the engine. I went to the dealership, and they told me I had destroyed my engine(connecting rods are bent, piston #4 was damaged) and I will need a new engine. The warranty wasn't going to cover it because I added extra oil. So, I immediately got a lawyer, but nothing has been done in a year im still in the same boat and I'm money. I have spoke to several mechanics from various dealers and shops and they told me there's no way adding oil could damage a engine in just a matter of one day. Im running out of ideas and my life is at a stand still if there's anything you can do please help. It was Aug. 5, 2005 when this engine clicking and tapping noises issue occurred.

I bought my car from a dealer in August 2006, in January of 07 I noticed my 2003 Acura Rsx engine making a ticking sound and the engine revving really high. I took it to my mechanic who said the valves needed replacing as do the camshafts. After many searches online regarding this problem, and finding several other owners experiencing the exact same issue I am shocked Acura has not issued a recall for this. This issue happened on 02/28/07.

The car involved was a 2008 Hyundai Sonata. Was driving to martinez and heard a slight clicking sound by the time we exited freeway at martinez exit the sound became very loud. When we stopped at light car died and wouldn't restart. Had car towed to wheel works and the told us that the engine had oil everywhere and no oil in the engine. car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Hyundai Sonata

The car involved is a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I was driving my 2011 Sonata on I-95 north in MD near baltimore. I was in stop and go traffic at 8:20am, when with out any warning, my car shut off . I looked down and all the lights on my dash were on. I coasted to the left shoulder and I tried to restart it and it wouldn't. I waited for 30- 40 minutes in rush hour traffic on the left shoulder of 95 for someone to come and jump start my car. It started immediately when it was jumped, with no problems, with no lights on the dashboard indicating any problems. I was about 1/4 mile from work. Once back in traffic, my car turned off a second time. Again, I was able to get it started with a jump with no problem. When it started the second time we heard a clunking noise and drove it 3 blocks to my office. No dash warning lights came on. I contacted my dealer, annapolis Hyundai and they said I would have to have it towed in. I contacted Hyundai's road side service and they towed it at no cost to me. I was asked for receipts and service information immediately before my car was looked at. After 6 days and continual calls, they advised I would need a new engine. As my car is only 3 years old and the engine is under the 100,000 mile warranty( it has approx. 64,000 miles on it), they advised they would have to send documents in to Hyundai and they would have to approve. My car has been there for 16 days and I have been refused a loaner car until Hyundai honors the 100,000 mile warranty. My car had originally been scheduled for service on 1/27 as I was having problems with the car not starting on at least 3 occasions and it needed to be jumped started(with 2 times by geico). During this time, there was never any indication there was a problem as no warning lights came on my car. This car is unsafe and should have a recall on the engine. A car should never stop running while it is in drive especially in traffic. This engine clicking and tapping noises issue occurred 01/24/2014.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Infiniti G35

The car involved was a 2006 Infiniti G35. I have a 2006 manual transmission G35 that is consuming up to 2 quarts of oil every 1000 miles. I did not realize this was happening until my engine made a loud repetitive ticking noise and when I checked the oil there was less than a quart in it. I've since continued topping off my oil weekly and contacted the dealerships. Since I am out of warranty the only thing I can do is replace the block myself. I am very disappointed how they are handling this situation with not only me but many other Infiniti owners. Any input would be greatly appreciated. car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Jeep Liberty

The vehicle was a 2002 Jeep Liberty. Where to begin? my airbag light has been coming on for months while driving. I took it to a Chrysler dealership 6 months ago & was charged $100 for them to tell me they didn't know what was wrong. About a month ago, while driving on the highway, my headlights went out, came back on, went out again, and finally I hit my high beams and they stayed on. My engine uses about 2 quarts of oil per week. I have parked on clean surfaces & there is no oil leaking, but it is going somewhere. I can hear a ticking noise coming from the engine area. I called Chrysler's toll-free number today after the headlights went out again, and was informed that my Jeep is under recall for the air bag module, and maybe that is what is causing the lights to go out. This makes no sense to me that one would have anything to do with the other. I told them that I have seen other complaints about the headlights, but they stated that they've had no complaints. I have also replaced front tires three times in the past year for wear on the outside edge. I've had the Jeep aligned, tires rotated as they should be, and they just keep balding on the outer edge. The service tech said that Jeeps eat through tires because of the wheel base? this car has all but eaten up most of my income. It is constantly having issues, and I get nowhere with Chrysler. This issue happened on August 1, 2012.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Kia Motor Sorento

The car was a 2004 Kia Motor Sorento. @ 62,894 miles: driving from gas station to home less than 1 mile away, engine made noise and started running rough. Parked car overnight, then drove about 3 miles to closest repair shop. Diagnosed as sheered off crankshaft pin/bolt. Repaired under extended warranty with new parts from kia, but one week later had to be towed in because it happened again. Crankshaft was warped so engine was rebuilt with used crankshaft and new parts from kia. @ 104,595 miles: driving on rural road in heavy traffic, lights on dashboard came on and lost power steering. Speed was 55 mph. Managed to steer car off road without incident. Towed to repair shop. Crankshaft pin/bolt sheered off. Cost to repair $895. 30. @ 109,885 miles: engine began making clicking noises and lost power steering, etc. Crankshaft pin/bolt sheered off. Repair not recommended. Replacement engine recommended. There is a class action lawsuit pending against kia for this problem. Please search online and you will find there are literally thousands of people who have had this issue with this same vehicle (2002-2009) and many had accidents because of it. Why is this not in the news? kia knows this part is bad, they know this design is bad, and they continue to put band aids on engines rather than fixing them. car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Kia Motor Optima

The vehicle was a 2008 Kia Motor Optima. Engine started making a clicking sound when the car was accelerating. Took my car in to kia and found out that one of the rods in the short engine block was failing. My engine only has 86464 miles on it and its an 2008. Bought the car with 69000 miles on it, only had the car for 7 months before the engine began to fail. I took this problem up with the dealership and kia headquarters. Was told they would not honor the 100,000 mile warranty because the car was not certified. I was not offered a warranty/ did not obtain an extended warranty, was not disclosed to that the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty did not extend to the next owner, nor was I told that they could not certify it. Was not offered a car fax, buyers guide or told about any type of warranty information. Kia dealerships do not certify cars after 60,000 miles even though there is still 40,000 miles on the original warranty. There way of getting around having to honor the original warranty and offer this to the next owner(s). Very angry with kia, they are deceitful, liars, and do not stand behind their product. They should not be able to sell any cars with out the original warranty being offered! with a history of there engines failing and having major mechanical problems I find it very disgraceful how they operate and enforce policy. If my engine actually fails while I am driving, I could easily get into a major accident and be critically injured. I drive a major freeway every single day, and to me this is very dangerous. If my engine failed and stalled going 70 miles an hour, I could easily be killed or get into a major accident. Please recall 2008 Optimas or complain to kia regarding there policy. They should have to offer and stand behind the original warranty or be required to disclose there policy to customers up front. Commercials and parking lot advertise per owned certified cars and 100000 warranty. This engine clicking and tapping noises problem happened on Jan. 17, 2014.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Lexus ES

I just purchased this car (Lexus Es 300 2002 sedan) for my daughter less than a week ago on 4/11/2014 from a private owner, with 267,000 miles and it ran well for a transportation vehicle, seems to have been well cared for mechanically, interior and exterior is in great shape and was checked out my friend a longtime mechanic. My daughter had just left the dmv which was closed today 4/18/2014 and street driving back home. The car made a loud popping sound, smoke started from under the hood and soon flames and she had to pull over and ditch the car. Soon it blazed and the whole front end, engine, windshield the front tires all burned. Fire and police departments showed up, extinguished the fire and did traffic control. The fire damage was control to the front and engine, the firewall did it's job. All the interiors, dash and console are all in tact and in good condition no smoke damage. car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Lexus RX350

The vehicle involved was a 2007 Lexus Rx350. Vehicle identification number (VIN): JTJHK31U77_. Our vehicle has always been serviced at the local Lexus dealership and maintained in excellent condition. Without warning, on 3/5/14, as we were exiting the freeway, we smelled a slight burning odor. The oil light then flashed intermittently. We immediately took the vehicle to the Lexus dealership. We were informed there was only 1 quart out of 6 quarts of oil remaining. The rubber oil cooler lines had exploded, but we were assured there was no damage to the engine. The cost of repair was $400+. 1 week later, we heard a clicking sound from the engine. The dealership asked if we could make an appointment 5 days later. We insisted it be inspected that day. 3 days later we heard back that the engine had significant damage as a result of the rubber oil cooler lines exploding, and that it would cost $2,800 to diagnose, and between $3,800 to $5,800 to repair. We filed a claim with Lexus customer service due to the low miles on the vehicle, even though we were technically out of warranty. The dealership apparently told Lexus corporate that the vehicle would actually cost $12,000 to $14,000 to repair. The best Lexus corporate offered was reimbursement for the replacement of the rubber oil cooler lines. This is concerning for a number of reasons. Upon doing some research online, these particular oil lines made of steel and rubber have failed for dozens upon dozens of Lexus/Toyota customers. A very similarly designed rubber oil line for the vvt-I has already been quietly recalled by Lexus. Lexus no longer uses these materials for oil lines. We expected our vehicle to last well into 200,000 miles, but this was simply unacceptable. In the end, since we could not pay for the ridiculous repairs, we essentially were forced to trade it in for cash from the Lexus dealership. Please make Lexus/Toyota do a recall on these parts before someone is hurt or killed. This engine clicking and tapping noises problem happened on March 5, 2014.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Mitsubishi Montero Sport

I purchased a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport from jack taylor alexandria Toyota. On September 09, 2002, I experienced trouble with my vehicle on the way back from our south carolina vacation. While driving the vehicle it started hesitating, smoking heavily and the a/t temp light came on and stayed on. Unfortunately, the stations service area was closed, but we were able to purchase transmission we added the transmission fluid as recommended and let the car cool down. Finally, after about an hour the vehicle started up, the a/t temp light went out and the car was no longer smoking. I called the representative back and advised him that the truck seemed to be fine, therefore we were going to try and make it home. He suggested that I schedule an appointment to have the vehicle checked. I contacted the darcars dealership the next day and spoke to a mr. Willard who scheduled an appointment for my car. After the technician checked the vehicle, the only problem they could find was that the car was 2 quarts overfilled with transmission fluid and no other problems. Mileage was 35346. On October 21, 2003, I had an oil change performed on my vehicle at jiffy lube while driving home the truck started to hesitate, making a loud knocking and ticking sound, the oil light came on and the vehicle started loosing acceleration pressure. I called the manager mike at jiffy lube who serviced my vehicle and performed the service, I told him exactly what the truck was doing and he stated that he could not tell me why it was doing this but that the truck should have plenty of oil in it. Mileage was 56292. This problem occurred on Oct. 21, 2003.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Nissan Pathfinder

The car involved is a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 5N1AR18W95_. The vehicle engine timing chain had made a slight "whirring" sound for many months - nothing really loud enough to cause alarm, but noticeable. Then when idling the vehicle in my driveway, the engine began to whine loudly, and then all of a sudden the engine lost power and began to emit a loud slapping/ clunking sound. The problem is that the timing chain has failed and the chain is slapping around inside of the timing cover. I was lucky that the vehicle was idling in my driveway at the time! there are thousands of reported incidents to be found on the internet where Nissan owners have reported that timing chains have failed, and some owners in California have filed a class-action lawsuit to force Nissan to acknowledge this factory defect. Nissan knows about this problem - there are factory service bulletins to repair this problem, but no recall. This engine defect is dangerous - engine failure on busy NY / NJ / CT highways can be life-threatening!! why is the Nissan timing chain defect not deemed a mandatory factory defect recall?? as a former mechanic, I can say with confidence that modern vehicle engine timing chains can be reasonably expected to last the life of the engine! timing chains are not considered a regular maintenance item! not only does timing chain failure put the vehicle passengers in extreme danger, but is very expensive to repair. Why should consumers have to bear the financial responsibility to repair a factory defect? at this time the vehicle is sitting "dead" in my driveway - I do not have $2000 required to repair the factory defective timing chain assembly! please force Nissan to recall and repair their defective timing chains!!!. This engine clicking and tapping noises issue occurred 01/06/14.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Saturn ION

The vehicle is a 2007 Saturn Ion. The VIN of this vehicle is 1G8AL55F27_. As I was heading home from work, about 3/4 of the way home on the freeway there was a loud "bang" and a jolt in the car that was immediately followed by a high pitch "squealing" sound. I got off at the nearest exit and took other roads home at approximately 40 mph. The squealing continued the entire way home, but would stop when I had to stop at lights. As I was turning onto my street, a battery light error came on the dashboard and my car simply shut off and would not start. I was towed home and did not do anything to the car for 3 days. On the 3rd day I attempted to jump the car with another car and was able to get the engine to start, but immediately a different check engine light came on and a different loud sound was coming from the engine. The new sound was not the original squealing. After opening the hood, I found a large metal "chunk" was lying on top of the engine cover and a hole had been made from where it came out of the engine bay from. The only thing I can gather is that it may have been caused by a timing chain failure, because the only thing preceding the incident was a very faint clicking sound coming from somewhere beneath the hood. It was Wed., Nov. 27, 2013 when this engine clicking and tapping noises issue happened.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Subaru Impreza Wrx

The car involved was a 2009 Subaru wrx. The VIN of the car is JF1GE76639_. On December 23rd, I had my son, take his Subaru wrx to brown's Subaru in manassas, va for an oil & filter change and to have fixed an annoying click sound which occurs each time the clutch pedal is depressed. Brown's determined that the clutch mounting to the firewall was cracked and would have to be fixed or the clutch & brake pedals would break away. I researched the clutch problem last night. The crack in the mounting of the clutch to the firewall is a defect known to Subaru of America. All wrx's from 2008 forward have this issue no recall. If it is not fixed, the clutch pedal and brake which are on the same mounting will break away completely. It seems to me that this is a very serious safety issue. It was Mon., Dec. 23, 2013 when this engine clicking and tapping noises issue happened.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Suzuki Forenza

The car was a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The VIN of this vehicle is KL5JD56Z97_. I could really use some assistance. I have a 2007 Forenza and yesterday as I was putting the car into reverse, it made a loud clunking noise. The gear selector display on the dash seemed to go haywire displaying all the letters (d, r, n, etc) with a diagonal line through it. It then went back to normal, then the "check engine" light came on. They hooked up the diagnostic computer and it came up with codes po700 and po705, which varies in wording but seems like it's the transmission range sensor. I have read that many other people have had the same problem. This is a problem that Suzuki should take care of a sensor cost to those who bought their cars. This issue happened on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Toyota RAV4

The vehicle having this issue was a 2006 Toyota Rav4. When backing the car out and turning the steering, there is a clunking noise that occurs. It mostly occurs from a cold start. There is a service bulletin out for this, but the dealer won't cover it. The car started making a popping sound. It was coming from underneath that car and made the exhaust sound really loud. Dealership said it was the centerpipe that was connected to the catalytic converter. The material of the centerpipe and catalytic was rusted and the dealership blamed it on me and that I drove the car off roading. I told them that the car has never gone off roading, garaged, and well maintained. Other 2006 Rav4 owners have cited the same issue stating that the material and craftsmanship of the centerpipe and catalytic converter were of poor quality. The seams of the centerpipe just completely came undone. When speaking with the dealership, they refused to cover it under the emissions warranty. When talking to the environment protection agency for emissions, they said that Toyota should cover it. This centerpipe issue became a larger issue when the vehicle misfired and the vsc, check engine, and 4wd lights on. Took it to the dealership to discuss what the issue may be. Other owners stated that the ignition coils were of poor quality and Toyota has issued replacements. Talked to the dealership and they refused to replace it under warranty. Shortly after, the car seems to be driving very clunky and does not drive as well as usual. The car vibrates and drives very slowly. It sounded like it dropped a cylinder. The engine sounds very clunky. This has happened many times. Ignition coils were replaced several times. Check engine light, vsc, and 4wd lights turn on solid each of these instances. Since then the tire pressure has turned on and gone bad. Had to get that replaced. Now all 3 lights are back on and will need to find out why. This engine clicking and tapping noises issue occurred 09/18/2012.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Volkswagen Jetta

The vehicle having this issue was a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta. The VIN of the problem Jetta is 3VWST71K06_. At approx 80-90k I started hearing a clattering noise from the engine and extra noise when idling. Also, the car has a hard time shifting (automatic trans). After taking the car to a mechanic, I was told that it's the dsg dmf coming apart and rattling. After doing some research, I find it's a common problem. It started happening shortly after my car went out of cpo warranty, which expired at 74k. I didn't really pay that much attention to it until it got worse. This is a 06 tdi mkv with auto dsg, brm engine. Also experiencing difficulties with soot in fuel filter, likely due to faulty seal in fuel injectors under cam shaft. Once again, common problem according to mechanics and online forums on this model. There's a recall on the dmf for this model in australia, needs to have one for us. It was 09/22/2013 when this engine clicking and tapping noises issue happened.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Volvo V70

The vehicle identification number (VIN) of the car was YV1LZ5644W_. I have a Volvo V70 xc, awd, 1998. I brought the car to a Volvo dealer, smythe Volvo, for a routine repair of clunking noise I heard. They said it was due to a strut problem, but also found several un-related repair items. All together, they spent two days on repair and charged me $1700 for it. On the same night that I got the car back, the engine died on the freeway without any warning before, during, and after the incidence. I almost got killed on the freeway. I was able to slide it out of the freeway ramp and had the car towed back to the dealer. On the 3rd day, the dealer said it was an engine sensor failure but had no explanation of why there was no warning signal to user, and why they couldn't pick up any sign from the prior two days of repair. If what they said was true, there is a very serious safety issue here that could impact the lives of millions of drivers out there. Please clarify for me if this issue was known to the NHTSA and what Volvo as a company should do or have done about it. I'm afraid to drive the car under the circumstances and would like to see this issue got answered quickly. This engine clicking and tapping noises issue occurred 12/22/05.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of BMW 328

The vehicle having this issue was a 2007 BMW 328i. Car has horrible lifter ticking noise. Started around 58k miles, now up to 61k. BMW knows about this issue and have even went as far as issuing a new (revision in 2009) service bulletin and redesigning the head and lifters. They don't want to issue a recall notice for their own design flaw because of the cost associated with replacing these parts. I change the oil every 3k miles and have been noticing ferrous metal flakes in the filter caused by the lifters being starved of oil due to the oil ports in the head being too small to allow adequate oil flow to them. One would expect a BMW to last a little bit longer than 60k miles before any issues like this arise. This engine clicking and tapping noises issue occurred Fri., Mar. 1, 2013.

car   Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of Cadillac CTS

The vehicle was a 2003 Cadillac Cts. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) is 1G6DM57NX3_. Car engine failed at 30,000 miles - it started making a clicking sound, so my husband decided to take it to the shop. He didn't even make it to the shop - just had to tow it. The car was driven gingerly by my 80 year old grandmother for 7,000 miles, then by me (age 40 with two children in car seats) for the remaining miles. Cadillac offered to pay 1/2 the cost to rebuild, but the total cost was estimated at over $15,000. They said there weren't any new engines to drop in, but they found one used engine (with 1 mile on it) that they could use that would cost about $4,150. However, they wouldn't pay any of the cost of dropping in the used engine. We opted to replace the engine at our cost instead so we could get away with paying $4,150 instead of $7,500. I complained to gm service department, and kept being given incorrect information. One person would tell me they would pay 1/2 the cost to repair or replace the engine, the next would say they would not pay. I kept good records of all persons contacted during the long, long process. They even had me gather all my prior service records so they could be certain the car) had been properly maintained (which it had. ) at one point I was even told (by the district specialist office at gm) that my grandmother had apparently purchased an extended warranty on it, and they could just use that. Later, I was told that no extended warranty existed. I was led on and misinformed for 1 1/2 months, while my car sat at the dealership 90 miles away. I was without my vehicle for 1 1/2 months, while everyone decided what should be done, and as it ends up, it could have been done immediately if I hadn't been given the run around being told gm was going to help with the repair cost. Not a good experience - not a good car. It was Apr. 23, 2008 when this engine clicking and tapping noises issue happened.
