The vehicle is a 2010 Chrysler town and country. On 4/5/14 my passenger side automatic sliding car door closed on me while I was putting my daughter in her car seat. When I pushed against it to trigger it to open itself up again, it began closing again on me without any buttons being pressed. I then sat in the driver's seat, without the keys in the ignition, and watched the door open and close all by itself. I pressed the lock button on the driver¿s side door and within a few seconds the same passenger side slider opened on its own. When I put the keys in the ignition and started the car it stopped and we drove away. When we reached our destination and turned off the car, the door started opening and closing again. After a few minutes, it stopped and didn't happen again for almost a month. On 5/3/14, the same passenger side sliding door began opening and closing on its own while I was getting my children and stroller out of the car. Once I locked the car door and walked away, it stopped. It did not happen again until 5/16/14, when it closed on my 4 year old daughter¿s right middle finger while she had her hand on the door frame about to climb into the car. The automatic safety feature also malfunctioned and the door completely latched closed on her finger. We immediately got her ice from the establishment we were parked in front of, and drove her to urgent care. She was diagnosed with a possible fracture and given a finger brace. She continues to wear the brace a week later and still has bruising, swelling and limited mobility with the finger. We took the car to the dealer 5/17/14 and after having the car for the entire day, they couldn't replicated the problem and therefore couldn't fix it. We dropped it off again 5/20/14 and they've had it ever since and are unable to find the problem and fix it. This car is unsafe for me and my family and this problem needs to be resolved immediately!. It was Saturday, April 5, 2014 when this equipment issue happened.

The vehicle involved was a 2005 Chrysler town and country. My 2005 Chrysler town/country came to a complete stop on a residential street after my hand/purse ran into the key in the ignition. I coasted to a stop. Luckily, since it was on a side street with no one behind me I was able to remain calm, put it into park and started the vehicle back up with no problem. There has not been a problem since then. I have made sure to lighten the load on my keychain, only having 2 keys and nothing else. I can not imagine what would have happened had I been on the freeway going 70 mph!!! that is why I am submitting this complaint. The key surely should have a safety feature built into it that would not allow it to turn the vehicle off while it is being driven and in gear (drive). A simple bump should not make that key move into a non-driveable position. I think a defect like this could indeed cause a fatal crash and needs to be fixed. My dealership assures me all my recalls are up to date. It was 05/08/2014 when this equipment issue happened.

The vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Durango. I was driving in my apartment complex and as I slowed down to turn my truck just shut off. Steering wheel locks and I am not able to turn. I have to press hard on the brake for it to stop and I can then put it into park and turn the key to turn it back on. I have two small children of the age of 1 & 2. Having them in the car with me when this happens is nerve wrecking. It's happened at least once or twice every 2-3 weeks. I have asked mechanics in regards to this and have had it checked and no one can tell me what it is. The previous owner said that it did the same not all the time but when he took it to the Dodge dealer, they couldn't tell him what it was either. My last (most recent) incident was on 5/10/14 - the car shut off four times that day. 2 happened while I was stopped at a red light, one happened as I was slowing down to park and one happened while I was turning and the car shut off in the middle of the turning lane while my family was in the car with me. The other issue I have is with my fuel tank. I can't fill my tank becuase when I do . . . It spits out gas. Also, I've had to switch out my IL pressure switch twice since February 2014. I have no idea as to why it's doing that. This equipment issue occurred Sep. 2, 2013.

The vehicle involved was a 2007 Dodge Nitro. VIN of the vehicle was 1D8GU58677_. To whom it may concern: driver side interior door handle snapped / broke clean off when I tried to exit the vehicle one afternoon on may 14, 2014. Vehicle has approx. 70k miles at the time of incident. Didn't realize it was a plastic handle until it broke. Appears to be cheap plastic. Door handle was not exposed to abuse. Interior door handle is operated with appropriate exiting force upon every exit and 99% of the time I'm the only one using that door handle. Please do something about this problem as it appears I'm not the only one with the same problem. Thanks in advance. The failure date was Wednesday, May 14, 2014.

The VIN of the car is 2FMDK49C58_. I have a 2008 Ford Edge sel that beginning last year started hesitating between 1st and 2nd gears and 1500-2000 rpm's. I have taken it to the dealership to have the computer for the transmission updated and it didn't fix the issue. The dealership can't seem to figure out the exact problem. But there are a lot of other people reporting this online as well. Ford needs to put a recall out so that consumers like me can have this issue fixed. The car also bangs when put into reverse. Please help!. This equipment problem happened on April 8, 2013.

The car involved was a 2008 GMC Acadia. So the window switches don"t work, when I'm trying to open the window it will open but then it won't close back, the steering wheel makes squiking noises and most important the most costly thing to repair was the transmission. We purchased the car used with 53. 000 miles on and after driving another 20. 000 miles the transmission broke I had to pay out of my packet about 4. 000 dollars for the repair I have two small children and when it comes for safety im not sure if we should keep the vehicle. When I'm reading all those recall issues I'm getting worried about my kids safety. This equipment problem happened on 11/12/2013.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2003 Acura Mdx. Owner of 2003 Mdx with 140,000 miles on it. Was working perfectly till it decelerate all the sudden while driving in dallas tollway. It felt as if the gear was on neutral and gas pedal was being forced. This would cause the motor to rev up but the transmission was failing and the gear wasn't responding. Vehicle came to complete stop, where the driver power off the engine and powered back on to see the difference and the vehicle started moving again for a minute and then back to no power. After taken to a transmission specialist, it was diagnosed as transmission failure. This problem occurred on Sat., May. 17, 2014.

The car is a 2008 Honda Accord. The VIN of the car is JHMCP26318_. When starting Honda for the first time during the day or after it has sit for a while, it makes a noise or rough start up. I have done some research and found out what the issues is, it is vtc actuator. I have read numerous complaints about this issue. If I had known at the time that this was going to be an issue I would not have purchased this vehicle. But the sales man knew when to start the car away from us, didn't find out till the day after the purchase. We bought it used. The part is a bit pricey and Honda should be responsible for this charge, since it is not the first car that has had this issue. It seems to be a bad year for the Accord. I would like this to be fixed. This equipment problem happened on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2008 Honda Cr-v. Door locks are defective. Have been self locking and unlocking every 2 minutes while driving. Additionally I have a child in the back seat who's door is now uncontrollably unlocking. This is a definite safety issue. I called my Honda dealer and american Honda headquarters and they will not acknowledge any defect issue even though there is now a class action suit and thousands of owners with the same issue. It was Thursday, May 22, 2014 when this equipment issue happened.

There were numerous incidents with my 2008 Hyundai Entourage power sliding doors automatically opening/closing on their own. It mostly happened when I was stopped and was waiting on my children's bus to come but the incident in January 2009 occurred when I was getting on the interstate. I had stopped at a red light and proceeded to turn onto the interstate when one of my power sliding door opened on its own while I was driving. This seat just so happened to be the seat that my, then, 3 month old daughter would sit in. I literally had to take it to the dealership more than 4 times in a year (sometimes I would not take it in because they kept telling me if they could not replicate it, there was nothing they could do) and it was in the shop, collectively, about a month so they could attempt to replicate the problem. Even with showing them video, they said they could not tell what the problem was. After about a year and a half from purchase, they finally started changing out parts (starting from cheapest to more expensive per my request) and found that it had to do with the switches. This is a huge safety concern because the doors have shut on me while I have been standing in the door trying to get my kids out, they have opened while driving, and many times it would open and close repeatedly on its own but wouldn't fully open until I turned off the power function. If something happened and the car caught fire, this could cause smaller children to become entrapped. It is a serious safety issue that I have seen people posting about all over the internet with the exact same problem as I am mentioning. These vehicles need to be recalled before someone does lose their life or become seriously and/or permanently injured!. This issue happened on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009.

The vehicle was a 2008 Hyundai Sonata. Was driving to martinez and heard a slight clicking sound by the time we exited freeway at martinez exit the sound became very loud. When we stopped at light car died and wouldn't restart. Had car towed to wheel works and the told us that the engine had oil everywhere and no oil in the engine. The mechanic discovered a hole in the back part of the engine. Mechanics can't figure out why or how it happened. It sounds like to me that there was a mechanical defect in the engine. The failure date was May 21, 2014.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2002 Jeep Liberty. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is 1J4GL48K82_. In December 2013, I received a recall notice on the above-noted vehicle. Soon after, I phoned the dealer, moore Chrysler Jeep, peoria, arizona, to schedule installation of the oem trailer hitch, but I was told they did not have the part. In March 2014, moore Chrysler Jeep sent me a reminder notice that my Jeep needed some maintenance, and that as of December 12, 2013, the vehicle had an incomplete recall. I phoned the service department and made an appointment for the scheduled maintenance, as well as for the hitch to be installed. However, I was told, once again, that the dealer didn't have the part. It has been almost six months since I received the recall notice, but, so far, the problem has not been remedied. I am frustrated and furious! this is an important safety issue, and I want to know why I'm getting the runaround. I don'¿t know where to place the blame, ¿Chrysler or the dealer, ¿but either way, nobody is taking responsibility for this most recent recall with important safety concerns. Why is it taking so long to manufacture and supply the part? does anyone care? please do not suggest that I purchase and install a hitch from some other location and wait for reimbursement. I want to hear from either Chrysler or national highway traffic safety administration or both very soon. This problem occurred on Dec. 12, 2013.

The vehicle was a 2013 Land Rover Lr2. The VIN of the problem Lr2 is SALFR2BG0D_. My vehicle accelerates in a forward lurching motion. This uncontrollable, sudden, and spasmodic thrust ahead is dangerous and in traffic could/will cause the vehicle to smash into another car or person; I have had several scary, close encounters. The problem seem to be in the engine's software. When acceleration is called for the turbo charger slams into action, roughly pushing the car ahead. The turbo charger's controlling software needs to be redesigned (DE-tuned) to assure that any driver who presses down the gas pedal will get a smooth and steady increase in speed, not an unpredictable, unsafe thrust forward. The vehicle identification number (VIN) of this Lexus Is Is JTHBD19272_. I would like to report a problem with my Lexus Is300 models 2002. There Is some type of defect in the frame or front arm bushings that cause excessive wear on the front inner tires. Despite the car being regularly aligned, uneven and excessive tire wear continues to occur on the inner portion of the tires. Tires will sometimes last less than 5,000 miles and have worn down to the steel in the inner sides of the front tires! this Is a common occurrence and complaint among Is 300 owners. As far as I know, there has been no fix from Lexus and will lead to potential blowouts on the freeway due to tire failures. This condition Is unacceptable. Therefore I am requesting an investigation and recall to fix the problem before a fatality occurs due to the resulting tire failure because of the front suspension defect. I own a 2003 Mercedes Benz Sl500. Like most owners of this vehicle, the baffle moves freely within the gas tank which causes a noise and is potentiall dangerous if a spark is created from the baffle hitting the inside walls of the gas tank. From my research it is a manufacture issue with the welding of the baffle to the internal wall of the gas tank. There is a tremendous amount of compliants and threads on mercedes forums. My wife's 2007 Mercedes Benz E350 smells of gas every time we fill up the car. The smell is noticeable inside and outside the car. We had the fuel system repaired but the smell may have infected the back seat and uphostry. The cost of repair was slightly under $1500 usd. I believe this is an unsafe situation. Had the car been rear ended or hit on either rear quarter it is extremely possible for the car to catch/burst on fire. I'm very upset that mercedes hasn't been required to fix this defect at their cost. I've seen numerous other complaints about this with vehicle in the 2004 to 2008 year. The vehicle having this issue was a 2008 Mercury Mariner. The VIN of the car is 4M2CU87158_. Large rusting areas in back seat doors, rear wheel wheels and tailgate. Concern lies with rust that cant be seen weakening structural integrity of doors and/or wheel wells and/or tailgate. First noticed blistering paint in 2011 and the problem has grown since. Warranty was of no help. Have noticed similar patterns on numerous Mariners of similar model years, so this has to be a manufacturer defect of some kind. It doesn't happen all the time and never happens when the garage has the vehicle. The last time was on Saturday 5/18/2014 the only way I could get the vehicle to start was to put it in neutral and turn the steering column, then when it would go back to the straight position the vehicle would stop again. After about five times trying it this way I left the wheels turned all the way to the left and put the vehicle into gear and made a u turn and keep going to home. The vehicle involved is a 2010 Subaru Forester. As I was driving, the driver's sun visor dropped into my forehead creating a shocking reaction. I attempted to place it back up, but it kept falling down. I then left it in a down position that you would place it if sun was in your eyes. I went over to the local dealer and they said it has been happening to quite a few of the Forester cars. I asked if it was a recall and he said he checked and it wasn't. Because the car was over 3 years old, it was out of warrantee and it would be a charge of around $125. 00 or so to be repaired. I explained that the car has not been abused and if I probably had not used the visor more than a dozen times. He indicated maybe the original dealer would honor fixing it because of such low mileage. I did go back to the original dealer and unfortunately they would not honor it and would be happy to repair it for around the same price. He also told me to buy velcro and it should hold it up. I invested in many strengths of velcro to find out that it would not adhere to the ceiling material of the car and repeatedly flops down in the same fashion as it did initially. My complaint is that this should be a recall as clearly it is a safety issue. I cannot drive the car safely in a down position as it interferes with visability. I am so disappointed with Subaru's reaction to my problem. Thank you for your help. The failure date was March 25, 2014.

The driver didn't even seem to slow down. My car was hit pretty hard. My airbag did not deploy. As far as I can recall my head or face did not hit the steering wheel. We got out of our cars. I did not see a license plate on his car either on the front or back of his car. I think that he said that he did not have his driver license. . . I'm not quite sure now. His car was a orange reddish mercedes, it looked like an SUV. It had tan interior. We moved our cars to the gas station parking lot to talk about the accident. My neck felt sore and painful. I decided to go to work as I drove my side began to hurt a lot, so I went to the doctor. There are new scratches on my bumper and other than that I can't tell if there is any other damage to the car. This equipment issue occurred May. 20, 2014.

When my Suzuki Forenza 2008 hit around 60,000 miles I started having sporadic transmission issues, including not being able to reverse properly, mechanical sounds when shifting gears, not able to accelerate when on drive, it was very stiff and difficult to accelerate, my brother has the same vehicle and had this exact same issue and it turned out it was the transmission range sensor. I took it to the dealer and it was the exact problem, I had to replace my transmission range sensor and I currently have an internal failure with my transmission and I do not plan on investing any more money towards this vehicle as I have read that many drivers have gone this route and absolutely regretted it because of the continuing problems with the transmission and other issues. This issue happened on Monday, May. 19, 2014.

The vehicle identification number (VIN) of this Toyota Camry is 4T1BE46K47_. Own a 2007 Toyota Camry with 69,000 mile which has heavy oil consumption, one quart every 3,000 miles approximately. Toyota says this is normal oil consumption. Filed complaint with Toyota USA, complaint number cr21044. They said I was the first complaint concerning this problem. The car has no oil leaks. Toyota knows about the problem because they issued TSB-0094-11 bulletin. Would like for the NHTSA to investigate because in all Toyota Camry 2007 forums this is a common problem among owners and nothing has been done. At some point in time this is going to cause major damage to the vehicle about a manufacturing defect that Toyota is aware of. If they were not aware of problem why did they issue tsb009411?. The vehicle was a 2007 Volkswagen Beetle. Ongoing issue with starting for approx last year and a half. Have had in to local dealer where purchased and they find nothing other than to tell me to lock my car when in use because the car's electronics are being confused. While trying to start the icons will flash and the windows will go up and down. Sometimes the car eventually starts on a 2nd or 3rd try but other times the car goes dead and a jump is necessary. I have less than 35,000 miles on it at this point in time. Are others having issues or is this dealership ineffective in diagnosing problem?. The vehicle involved is a 2009 Volkswagen Eos. VIN of the vehicle was WVBA71FX9V_. The leaking on this historically defective hardtop convertible has caused yet another problem. My vehicle was entirely flooded, and the dealer and manufacturer say it is nearly a total loss. This has been a continual problem since the model was introduced and Volkswagen has declined to deal with it. My particular car can be driven right now, but may stop running at any time due to the water that has seeped into vital parts, such as brakes and engine. This problem occurred on 05/15/2014.

The car was a 2008 Volvo Xc90. 10/30/2013. . . Failed ignition lock switch at 31769 miles, in garage, no warning resulting in having to have vehicle towed to dealership, part investigated ordered and ultimately replaced at a cost of over 600$ as well as the cost of a rental vehicle for a week because part needed to be ordered and shipped to dealer. Additional rental cost at just over 200$. Followed by starter switch behind the ignition lock switch failing on 4/08/2014 diagnosed at dealership, part needing to be ordered and then installed 4/22/2014. A cost of 165$, mileage at this replacement was 34332. After which I contacted the Volvo customer care department and sent all required information to see if there had been any recalls on this vehicle/ part. I was informed it was not a recall item. They also said that on a vehicle that age an mileage I should expect some maintenance issues. I keep my vehicle maintained and checked on a regular basis. Having spoken to the tow truck driver and an vehicle mechanic that has 2 Volvos they both said they have personally had this same issue with the ignition lock switch, once when driving. Volvo offered to reimburse me up to 30% of cost of part/s up to 200$. I needed to send in documentation and copies of work completed. My concern is that in light of the ignition issues with gm that have been ongoing for 5 years. . . Is this the same thing just not identified as of yet and if the Volvo corporation does reimburse a portion of my output to fix the ignition create the environment that will lead them to not allow any rights to owners if this becomes a recall/ legal issue?. This problem occurred on October 30, 2013.

The car involved is a 2014 Audi A6. Was driving at approximately 30 mph when the car made a "clunk" sound and I lost any ability to control the vehicle. I pressed the accelerator and nothing happened. The steering wheel completely locked and I had no ability to turn the wheel. I coasted down a hill and the wheel unlocked, but I had no power steering and still no ability to accelerate. I was able to get the car into a parking lot and had it towed to the tucson arizona Audi dealer. They have yet to figure out what the problem was. They replaced the fuel pump twice and tried to run the vehicle but can't keep it running for more than 2 minutes. The car keeps "seizing" up is what the service shop tells me. They still can't fix it and the car only has just over 5,000 miles on it. It was April 14, 2014 when this equipment issue happened.

While driving through a parking lot, my 2004 Audi A4 1. 8 cabriolet suddenly accelerated for no apparent reason. I was able to shut it down and checked to make sure the floor mat was not interfering with the gas pedal. I restarted the car and drove to my next location without incident. However, after leaving my next location and pulling out onto the main road the car started accelerating again and was difficult to control. The more I applied the brake, the more the engine raced. Afraid of causing an accident in rush hour traffic, I was able to pull into a parking lot and turn off the car. This also happened to me about a year ago, but I assumed it was the car mat because it never happened again until February of this year. After being made aware of the Toyota problem, I decided to research a bit and have discovered mine is not an isolated Audi problem. I'm honestly afraid to drive the car out of concern this may happen again. The failure date was Feb. 6, 2014.

The car was a 2011 BMW 528i. Purchased a brand new 528i BMW and within months I had a coolant signal indicating low coolant. Subsequently, the coolant signal came on every six weeks, despite having it topped off at dealership. Car had inadequate power and felt like it dragged. BMW service center repeatedly failed to identify a problem. Eventually, the signal came on and an intolerable fuel odor emerged upon turning on the car. Fuel and chemical odors remain. I have read of other similar complaints online and believe there is a manufacturing defect that makes the car unsafe. The exposure to carcinogenic coolant fumes and the gas fumes are dangerous. Coolant may be leaking into the engine. Other mechanical issues may be causing the drag and continued loss of power. In one instance I left the vehicle at the BMW service center with a full tank and when it was returned to me, the fuel level had dropped significantly despite having been driven a very small amount of miles by the service people. I am very concerned that these problems pose a safety hazard to not only myself, but the general public and other BMW owners who may be unaware of these issues. I feel the car is compromised by the manufacturing defects and that efforts to repair the problems continue to exist. I feel the car is unsafe and poses a safety and health hazard and that BMW is unwilling to investigate how pervasive the problem may be. I want an investigation and feel the vehicle is unsafe to drive. This is not "the ultimate driving machine. " please investigate these problems and help prevent others from being unnecessarily subjected to toxic fumes and chemicals which may compromise the public's health and the safety of people on the road. The vehicle is a 2002 Cadillac Deville. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) was 1G6KE54Y42_. The ignition switch on our 2002 dhs Cadillac went out in April, 2014; mileage 91,000. We live in cove, oregon. We had to have it towed fro,m our garage 15 miles to legacy Ford in lagrande, oregon. The total cost was towing 152. 00, ignition switch installation 295. 65. Due to the recent recall on ignitioin switches to so many other gm vehicles it seem reasonable to me that it is possible our Cadillac could be part of this recall. I would appreciate this notification being included in the recall. This equipment issue occurred Apr. 15, 2014.

We have a 2003 Jaguar X-type 2. 5 liter we had towed to hennessey, 3040 piedmont rd. , atlanta, georgia 30305, Jaguar service. Its only 69122 in mileage. We check in at 13:34 and check out at 16:47 and we paid 129. 64 for labor. Information on invoice a. 129. 64. Invoice stated: cust says to program cust provided keys , quoted $130. 00. Customer requested supplied keys to be programmed. Scan with add and ran key programming session / function . Key can not be programmed at this time due to network communication failure. Communication with cluster will have to be restored before keys can be programmed. The X-type production stopped in 2009. We believed Jaguar does not have the software to service this particular service issue with re -programming keys since productions stop in 2009 and now own's by a company in india. We did not received a copy of the test perform , only a invoice. Jaguar stated they did not know what was wrong several occasions. They wanted to keep the cars for another 3 hours at 130. 00 without a guarantee if there software was updated for the x -type model its would have a printout of the test, not guessing. Network cannot communicate because there scan tool or programmed tool does not recognize x- type software. Any it programmer knows their have to be something to communicate with . We payed Jaguar for a outdated software test . We believed X-type is a safety hazard on our country road without technical support. We did called Jaguar north America. We had the car towed back home . Supposedly Jaguar is the only one with the technology to resolve these type of issue's. Please help! ## VIN passed ## Jaguar X-type 2. 5 2003 ##. The vehicle involved is a 2001 Jaguar Vanden Plas. Our Jaguar key is unique from other keys in that it is cylindrical with small nubs sticking out. We never have more than the single key on a key ring, so there's never excess weight on the key while it's inserted, because we don't have keys in our life. Due to where we live we don't lock our house, so no keys are necessary. The Jaguar is my wife's car, she's tall, but I'm very tall at 6'4", so my knee is higher than hers when I'm driving her car. On a regular basis when I'm driving her car, if my knee moves over and touches the ignition key, frequently the car will suddenly shut off. It usually happens when I'm taking a left at a traffic light, so when that happens I lose all power control of the car, the car stops suddenly without me hitting the brakes, so hopefully the guy behind me stops in time even though my brake lights don't light, and it always presents and extremely hazardous and dangerous situation. What would happen if it shut off on me at 70 mph? I assumed it was the quirky reputation of Jaguars, but now after learning about gm's issue with heavy key chains, I see that our issue is somewhat similar not because of heavy key chains, but because of what could be a design flaw of the barrel-shaped Jaguar key not being very robust in maintaining contact within the ignition switch housing. I called Jaguar USA more than 2 weeks ago, they promised they would get back to me within 48 hours about taking it to a dealer to get it fixed, but they haven't contacted me. I can't be the only one this is happening to with this jag key design. In general I'm very happy with Jaguar, we've owned 5 now between me and my wife, but this is potentially very dangerous and seems to me to be a design issue. I've contacted jag, they haven't followed through, so now I'm doing what's more important anyway to make sure this doesn't happen to others, so I'm contacting you. It was Saturday, April 1, 2006 when this equipment issue occurred.
