car   Hazard Flashing Warning Light problem of Hyundai Tiburon

One week after purchasing a used 2003 Hyundai Tiburon I was preparing to make a right turn and pulled the turn signal on. After exiting the turn, turn signal stayed on . Flasher relay attached to bcm fused not allowing the bulbs to turn off even after turning the vehicle off. Only temporary fix for problem is to remove fuse from circuit, in-turn disabling both turn signals and hazard lights. Permanent fix is to replace bcm, fuse panel, and main power junction on vehicle, this costs near $1000 to repair and for those that can't afford that amount are left driving without turn signals or hazard lights creating a safety hazard for themselves and others on the road around them due to the fact that they cannot inform other drivers of lane changes or turns. This may result in accidents, tickets, or failed safety inspections. I contacted Hyundai and the representative I talked to knew of the problem. After researching this on the internet it appears to be a common problem, there have been many post about this issue and none have had solid solutions without disassembling the computer and replacing the relay that is sodered to the main computer board. This issue happened on Oct. 15, 2007.

Since there was no reason to use the hazard lights so far, the plastic was not broken from use. Now I'm driving my car without any safety hazard lights to use should an occasion arise. 2001 SAAB Aero while traveling in the fast lane of a freeway at 65 mph without warning experienced complete loss of power. Fortunately, the car made it across 3 lanes of traffic to the shoulder (rainy day at dusk); the emergency flashers then failed within 25 minutes. Diagnosed as a direct ignition cassette (dic) failure, but flashers failure could not be duplicated. Mechanic stated that the dic failure was common, but replacements seldom failed. car   Hazard Flashing Warning Light problem of Volvo XC90

I own a Volvo Xc90 t6 awd. This car has had problems with the twin turbo-chargers, the warning lights, a tire blowout, vibrations in the steering wheel, alignment issues, short circuit in the driver's side control panel, poor fit and finish of the driver side door panel and a host of other fit and finish problems. The momentum Volvo dealership in houston, texas and Volvo north America service representative denied any problems being a serious or recurring problem. This all took place in a span of less than 10 months for a brand new vehicle. The car spent more time in the shop than in our possession initially. The dealership continued to fix the recurring problems and denied any chronic issues existed. I wish to alert NHTSA in the event any other owner of Volvo xc 1990 has similar complaints or a tragedy occurs as a result of the problems I have listed. car   Hazard Flashing Warning Light problem of Volvo V70

The car was a 2001 Volvo V70xc. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is YV1SZ58D91_. While traveling at high speed on an interstate my car lost power completely. I was able to get to the shoulder safely and call Volvo roadside assistance. My car was towed to the nearest dealership where it sat for a month because the problem couldn't be determined. The car was returned to me. About six months later the same experience occurred, once again while traveling at a high speed on an interstate highway. The "problem" was fixed again. My car has been in and out of the dealership for various reasons for years. When I was finally fed up with it and decided to sell it, it needed more electrical work. The service manager at a dealership listened to the problems I had with the car over the years and felt that it warranted a call to the Volvo rep. I gave him all work orders which I have from the purchase date of the car. He was told by the Volvo rep that since all repair work had not been done at a Volvo dealership they couldn't help me. Normal work such as oil changes, etc. Were done by a mechanic who only works on saabs and Volvos. Upon looking for the names of Volvo execs that I could write a letter to I stumbled on a website about Volvo problems and people who were trying to hold the company accountable for mechanical failures of any type. I wrote to the individual who started the website and he suggested that I send my e-mail to stephen mchenry at NHTSA which I did. After trying for many days to do so and failing to connect because of some problem with the message trying to reach mr. Mchenry I just let it go. We need to sell the car because we can't afford to fix all that needs to be repaired. The problem is how do I sell a car that needs over a thousand dollars of work? I am forwarding the e-mail I tried to send to stephen mchenry to your e-mail address. What can I do? am I too late in reporting this? what do you advise me to do? thank you for your consideration. Susan k. Luxem. It was Fri., Oct. 5, 2001 when this hazard flashing warning light issue occurred.
