car   Other Fuel System Delivery problem of Chevrolet Trailblazer

The vehicle is a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. I bought a chevy Trailblazer in March of 2004, brand new. In November 2004 I smelled a strong odor of gas fumes and took it to the dealership for repairs, they fixed the gas odor, but it did occur to me that my Trailblazer may have been causing the severe headaches I had been having since March of 2004. My headaches did decrease in frequency then cease after I quit driving the Trailblazer. My husband then started driving the Trailblazer. After some discussion about the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning, he was tested and the lab results did confirm that he was toxic. My Trailblazer now sits in the driveway and I keep making payments on a vehicle that poisoned me and my family. General motors has been notified and they do not care. Please, please help me with this situation. It was March 16, 2004 when this other fuel system delivery issue happened.

car   Other Fuel System Delivery problem of Lincoln Navigator

The vehicle involved was a 2001 Lincoln Navigator. Accelerator pedal becomes hard to depress whenever temperature is below fifteen degrees f for an extended period. Once depressed, idle does not return. Engine rpm stays elevated, dropping only when gears change, then building back up to "stiuck" rpm. When placed in neutral, engine revolutions increase to almost 5000 rpm; placing vehicle in drive causes rpm to drop to approximately 2200, which is consistent with 70 mph in drive. Vehicle cannot be stopped unless gearshift is placed in neutral or ignition turned off. It would appear that conditon relieves after about twenty minutes of driving, consistent with some internal component warming sufficiently to relieve a cold-originated contraction apparently causing binding. Condition returns randomly at somewhat higher temperatures at speed, almost as though responding to wind chill cold. Dealer obeserved conditon in two-day obervation, did not cure probelm, yet released vehicle in unsafe condition. No followup following week; reported to Lincoln customer care, but complaint ignored; no action taken. "we'll investigate" three weeks now. This problem occurred on Jan. 9, 2004.

The vehicle involved was a 2007 Toyota Rav4. Hesitation when trying to press gas pedal usually from a stop. This could cause an accident when I believe I have enough time to get out on main highway from side street and the SUV won't go. Took to dealer, who said normal. Cruise does not work properly on inclines. It will jerk back and forth until cruise turned off. Mechanic rode with me and said this shd not be happening, but Toyota has no fix for it at present; they do not know when. Called Toyota call center. They said this vehicle not meant to use cruise on inclines(so why put it on the vehicle-put on on level road, take off when see hill approaching-what a joke). Never had a vehicle in my life where the cruise was not meant to be used at all points of driving. Told by dealership to wait. This vehicle is new and I do not want to wait. car   Other Fuel System Delivery problem of Volvo V70

The car involved was a 1999 Volvo V70xc. The VIN of the car is YV1LZ56D0X_. Recently I bought a used Volvo- 1999 V70 xc. Shortly afterwards, the ets light came on. The dealer told me it would cost $1000 to replace. I did some research and found that this not only affected the cruise control, but could eventually cause the failure of the engine and the car to suddenly stop running. The part it would be a replaced with was the exact same part that has the same problem that could occur. The local mechanic cannot fix it. It must be done by a dealer. I wrote to Volvo with no response. I met others online who is trying to lobby the company for a redesign and a recall. This is not a convenience issue, but a safety one. Volvo figures most affluent owners of new Volvos would have traded up to a new one already. And is ignoring those subject to buying in the secondary market. Please ask Volvo to investigate this and issue a recall. I recently traded the car in for a non-Volvo car. I will not buy another Volvo ever again. But for the sake of those who do not have the means to trade up to a new car, I am still writing to get redress for this issue. Thank you. The failure date was Apr. 23, 2005.

car   Other Fuel System Delivery problem of Volvo V70

The VIN of this V70 is YV1LW55AXX_. Regular maintenance was performed on the vehicle (1999 Volvo V70). Aty 67000 miles, the ets light came on, and two days later the electronic throttle failed, resulting in almost no acceleration, and an inability to maintain a safe speed. Research indicates that this is well documented as a vehicle design flaw, and a common occurance at 70k miles. This seems to be a highly hazardous flaw, and should be acknowledged and repaired as a manufacturing defect. Instead, it is a dealer only repair, and is costing consumers $700-1500 for the repair. I believe it should be investigated. Volvo should be responsible to repair a noted design flaw at their expense. The failure date was 08/27/2004.

car   Other Fuel System Delivery problem of Audi A6

The vehicle having this issue was a 2003 Audi A6. Failure to accelerate. I experience major delays in any acceleration immediately after I have depressed the brake (at any speed) and then try to reaccelerate. I understand that this is a common complaint among all Audi tiptronic owners regardless of engine type. It is not, as Audi tries to say, "turbo lag. " in almost every failure to date, I have almost been involved in an accident due to this problem. Had other drivers been less attentive, I most surely would have been struck. I am hesitant to pull out into any volume of traffic with this persistent problem. It was 10/14/2003 when this other fuel system delivery issue occurred.

car   Other Fuel System Delivery problem of Audi A6

I own a 1998 Audi A6 quattro (2. 8 liter engine). Last winter during a cold spell some part in the pcv valve froze suddenly while driving. This caused the throttle to be stuck at about 4,000 rpm and the car turned into a rocket. Fortunately, I could bring the car to a stop and nobody was hurt. It was quite an experience though, especially since the roads were snowy and icy that day. When I brought the car to the Audi dealer I was told that "it may take a week because we are swamped with many other Audi A6, all with the same problem. I was told that this is some sort of design flaw with this particular model/engine, and that this will happen again in very cold weather. In April I found a short article in "der spiegel" (the german equivalent to newsweek or time magazines), reporting that NHTSA took 16 Audi A6 in to test for exactly this problem. What is your advice to customers? can you force Audi to do something about it, since this appears to be a major safety issue? kindest regards and thank you in advance, hagen blaszyk, MD.
