car   Overdrive Light On problem of Mazda 626

Purchased a 1999 Mazda 626 in February of 2003 with 28,000 miles. Car has been great until recently in 2009 the transmission has started to develop problems. It now slips in second gear, I cannot drive on the interstate for fear that the infamous o/d off light will start to flash and leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere. This occurs sometimes after a short period of maybe 30 minutes or more driving 70 mph, and sometimes at 65mph. When it does happen, the car looses power, and burns up the transmission fluid. Also when it happens, you risk the chance of nearly blowing the transmission, being run off the road, being forced to stop in the middle of nowhere, and being in a serious accident, because the car all of sudden stops moving!this is so sad that I cannot really enjoy my vehicle, as well as many others here! Mazda has not even acknowledged the other recalls on this vehicle, and they don't stand behind their product. Mazda is a poor investment, and they need to issue a recall on these transmissions that they know are a piece of crap! I will never ever buy another Mazda again!. It was July 1, 2009 when this overdrive light on issue happened.

car   Overdrive Light On problem of Mercury Mountaineer

The vehicle involved was a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer. Ford has a TSB on their website for the problems I am having with my vehicle. I contacted tyem and I was told that I have to pay for the repairs. What I do not understand is if there are sooo many complaint from consumers on this vehicle for the same issues is that not the responsibility of the manufacture being it considered a defective product? I have to children and this is of extreme concern to me that these issues on my car can cause an accident. -back trunk door is cracked down the latch. -the car doesn't shift correctly and tires seem loose -the overdrive light is blinking all the time and the transmission is signaling. . I have found so many websites with complaints about the same issues on 2003-2004 Mercury Mountaineers. This overdrive light on issue occurred Friday, May 4, 2012.

car   Overdrive Light On problem of Nissan Quest

The vehicle was a 1996 Nissan Quest. Weird electrical problems,I have taken to 2 different people, 1 of which specializes in transmissions, the problem is that when the vehicle is warmed up the transmission doesn't know what gear it is in, on initial investigation the problem appears to be the trottle position sensor but that was replaced and still no fix. They hooked up computers to the car while driving and say the computer doesn't read the tps being operative during driving but no problems can be found with the wiring and computer board. When the engine transmission starts to mess up the locks start to lock and unlock by themselves while driving, the check engine light is on and the overdrive light blinks off and on. At one time the air bag light come on for no reason it was checked and problem found. The sliding door latch broke within a couple of months of buying. The back windshield wiper motor would also come on by itself, we ended up taking the fuse out for that. It was Feb. 15, 2002 when this overdrive light on issue occurred.

car   Overdrive Light On problem of Toyota Tundra

The vehicle having this issue was a 2006 Toyota Tundra. Driving on the highway at normal speed of 65 mph; suddenly I noticed an increase in rpm's and a pull of the truck, kind of pulling back and forth. I then noticed the o/d light on, I wiggled the transmission shifter while driving and the o/d light went away; the truck rpm's returned to normal for the speed I was driving. Since then, it has happened every day at any given time; what I am doing is the same or just pressing the push button until the light goes away. I tried taking my truck to my local dealer where I bought my truck and they told me there was a charge for inspection plus repairs. I have seen many other online posts where Tundra owners have the same problem, I believe this is a safety problem since the truck may pull or hesitate at any given time and the possibility of losing control and causing serious injury exists. I would like to direct this issue to Toyota and have them fix this issue as soon as possible. It was Friday, November 4, 2011 when this overdrive light on issue happened.
