The vehicle was a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 hd. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is 1GCHK29U73_. I filed a complaint in 2009 with the NHTSA and have yet to hear anything from the agency regarding this problem. In the same year as the complaint, I had my local Chevrolet dealer's service department replace a section of brake line by the abs module that had failed due to extreme corrosion. This past week I returned to the same dealer to have them repair another section that had also failed. I was told that, due to possible litigation they would not repair the line as they had in the past, but would replace the entirety of the line for an estimate of $1200. 00. The service manager also stated that figure could go higher as more was discovered. I can't see putting this kind of money into this vehicle knowing that more failures are sure to follow even though the truck has only 95,000 miles on it now. Gm knows there is a problem. They could care less and the customer is going to foot the bill for their malfeasance as usual. This parking brake hoses lines/piping and fittings issue occurred Mon., Mar. 9, 2009.

car   Parking Brake Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem of Honda Odyssey

Brake and transmission failure of Honda Odyssey we leased a 2005 Honda Odyssey from Honda west in las vegas on the 21st of June 2005. This is 2005 model. The VIN # 5fnrl382x5b097321 in a week, we found a defective brake that was causing a significant problem to stop the car. I immediately informed the dealer and it appeared they did not pay that much attention. I myself was very confused as I was under the impression that Honda makes one of the safest cars in the world. My wife is the primary driver and she is a 1st year resident at the university medical center, las vegas, nv. After working she was driving the car to home and she tried to stop the car at red light and the car did not stop. She ran red light and by the grace of god a disastrous accident was avoided. This is a matter of life and death. So, she went to the dealer immediately and they were not polite and were not in a position to look into the problem. However, she forced them to look into it and after two days of investigation they found that the brake was not installed properly at the manufacturing plant. The transmission also has the similar kind of problem, when trying to accelerate will not accelerate but when trying to push the brake will accelerate. We have already informed american Honda and unfortunately they will not listen. The car is still with the dealer. As a responsible citizen of the country I feel obligated to let you know the safety issue of Honda. It is ironic that the american car manufacturers easily admit their safety problem whereas the japanese makers will not admit such because of business issue. My question which one should come first the safety of the citizens or the money? I will highly appreciate that you look into this matter as soon as possible to prevent a disastrous accident else where in the country. I hope that no one has to either die or injured before the investigation starts. Sincerely, mamun ahmed. The failure date was Sun., Jul. 17, 2005.

The vehicle involved was a 2004 Lexus Rx330. The VIN of this vehicle is 2T2HA31U04_. Picking up my daughter at a friends house and fortunately was only going about 5-10mph to a stop sign when my brakes failed without warning. I had to put my entire body weight on the pedal to slow the vehicle down. The car was towed by flatbed to dealership and determined it was the brake booster assembly. At the same time my fuel injector assembly apparently needed to be replaced which I had no idea of until I recieved my work order sheet. I was accused of using cheap gas which I absolutely never used. I only use the highest grade of fuel in my vehicle so they could give me no other reason for the coincidence. It seems like many 2004 Rx330's have been have alot of brake issues but Lexus' answer to the problem is that if the problem can be fixed then the car is running according to specifications. My question to them was can they fix the problem of the loss of a life when this unsafe vehicle produces that problem? I have also had to have brake rotor pads replaced at 15,000 miles which according to the service tech was out of the ordinary but not according to a Lexus customer satisfaction administrator. I find it appalling that Lexus is not standing behind its product to have these unsafe vehicles taken off the road instead they are willing to risk consumers lives nationwide. . . . So much for customer satisfaction. It was Sunday, February 27, 2005 when this parking brake hoses lines/piping and fittings issue happened.
