The car involved is a 2005 Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) was 2G1WF52E05_. I recently purchased a 2005 Impala in April of 2014. There was no check light engine on for about a week, but the light did come on and also with the airbags light. When braking both lights will disappear. At times of accelerating, the lights will appear. Also, I have a faulty ignition switch that is affecting my headlights, radio, interior lights, and my key will barely turn. This radio/tape cd player issue occurred May 21, 2014.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Chevrolet Trailblazer

The car involved was a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer ext 370. While driving my 2005 chevytrailblazer it just turned off without warning, as soon as it did the check enginge light and reduced engine power light came on(instrument panel and radio were still working). I tried a few times to turn it back on but it failed to restart. 15 minutes later it restarted and I was able to drive to my workplace a few blocks away, by the time I used my vehicle again(about 3hrs later) both engine lights had turned off. We took our vehicle to an auto repair shop to see if they could diagnose the problem, they recommended that we take it to a gm dealership because there were numerous codes showing up on the diagnostic machine. We took it to a local gm dealership in indio, CA (coachella valley Buick GMC). They too said that numerous codes were coming up but after 1 1/2 days with our vehicle they stated that that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. We took it in to auto repair shop and he performed the repair that GMC stated was needed. Upon picking up the vehicle from the repair shop I drove home, as I was pulling into the garage it turned off, a repeat of the same issue we were having before replacing the ignition switch. Since this was on sat,05-03-2014 we had to wait until the afternoon of mon, 05/05/2014 to take it back to the dealership, we informed them that we had their recommended repair done and that the vehicle continued to turn off. The following day they informed me that they could not replicate the problem and that we could pick up the vehicle. On thurs. , 05/08/2014 the vehicle turned off while making a left turn. 20 minutes later it turned back on and he drove it back to the dealership, they then had the vehicle until 05/12/2014; again they stated that they could not replicate the problem. It has continued to repeat this same problem, again without any warning or indication that there is a problem. It was April 1, 2014 when this radio/tape cd player issue happened.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Chrysler Town & Country

The vehicle was a 2008 Chrysler town and country. While driving down a main road, the car suddenly shut down. Nothing worked. I could not break or steer as power steering went. The only thing that stayed on was the radio. Car slowly coasted and eventually stopped. My 2 young children were in the car, I have already told dealer about this and they said they could find nothing wrong but that it sounds like a key roll back issue. They told me if it happens while driving again I should turn key as it may have moved from on position to acc position due to a bump in the road. Turning the key did nothing. After the car stopped I attempted to restart car and everything worked except the malfunction indicator light stayed on. This is a serious issue and Chrysler service department did not seem to care when I called! then I begin researching and find that they recalled 2009 vehicles of the same make for the same problem!. It was Friday, April 25, 2014 when this radio/tape cd player issue occurred.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Chrysler Town & Country

The car was a 2010 Chrysler town and country. My van has shut off completely with no warning approximately 2-5 times a month since December 2013. I have taken it to the dealer 5 times and they have been unable to fix the issue. I have almost been hit several times with my children in the car. There is no warning I lose steering but the power like the radio stays on. The last time this happened 4/3/2013 I also lost my breaks. They say since they cant replicate the problem its not their concern. They have replaced my win module twice as well as my keys. This issue happened on Wednesday, December 18, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Dodge Journey

The car involved is a 2009 Dodge Journey awd. Low tire indicator as soon as I started my car. Then the change oil indicator flashed. I had just had an oil change and all tires have accurate pressure. Sometimes my car won't start when I turn the key but the lights and radio will work. The shifter panel gets hot sometimes. The wipers will move up a couple of inches when I use my unlock button on my key. My dash lights will fade and then come back to the brightness I have it set at just randomly while the vehicle is started, driving or sitting still. Sounds like an electrical issue. Lots of other complaints about the same things occurring, yet no recalls and things are not covered under warranty. This radio/tape cd player issue occurred Mon., May. 19, 2014.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Ford Focus

The vehicle is a 2012 Ford Focus. Since I've owned the car, I've taken it back to the dealer more than twelve times. I bought it new and have problems with transmission slipping, jumping, lurching. I have been having these issues plus issues with the radio constantly resetting itself since the day I bought the car. The dealer claimed to me that the reason my car times backwards after coming to a stop was to save fuel, then there was a recall on the car to have the transmission reprogrammed to stop it. I had this done, but it still occurs with my car. This issue happened on Mar. 15, 2012.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Ford Escape

The vehicle involved was a 2010 Ford Escape. 1st occurrence: I was driving at 35mph and suddenly my car surged forward then slowed down to 5mph. I tried to accelerate to a higher mph but it would not let me go any faster. I could steer and the radio was still on. Confused, I coasted off the side of the road, looked at the instrument panel for a light of some kind (none were there). I then turned off the engine and let it sit for approximately 2 minutes then it restarted and I drove home (about 1 1/2 miles) the 2nd occurrence - may 6th. I had just left my doctor's office, within 1 1/2 minutes & driving 15 mph (1/16 of a mile) the failure happened again. I again had to coast to the side of the road apply my hazard lights and turn off the engine for approximately 2 minutes. It re-started and I drove it home (it was intermediately surging forward) about 5 miles. The 3rd occurrence: may 8th on I-70 westbound :speed 60 mph: loss of power, coasted to the berm of the highway, ( thank goodness all the traffic was 1 mile behind me or this could have caused a serious accident) turned it off and waited about 2 minutes and restarted made it to work and home without further stalling but the jerking continued. I called interstate Ford (miamisburg) explained the problems I was experiencing and my fear to drive this vehicle. This radio/tape cd player problem happened on Monday, May. 5, 2014.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of GMC Acadia

The vehicle having this issue was a 2010 GMC Acadia. I've been having issues with the a/c unit, I try to turn it on and all that it does is flash 3 times and then it goes back to off, it doesn't cool at all. I tried to research the problem in the internet and at the GMC website and it seems that is been a huge issue since 2007 for this model! I called the dealer and although they know what the problem is they insist in charge me $100 to connect it and troubleshoot it even though they know the issue. They are charging between $ 1200 and $2000 to "fix" a known problem. This problem is causing that my cd player gets hot while is playing the cd and eject them from the system. Please I need you to research and help out with this issue. They say that is a issue with low or leaking cooling system and that it needs freon or that is the hvac system, but is the same excuse to hundreds of customers, some of whom decided to just run the vehicle without a/c during hot summers. Because of all my medical issues, I can't have the " luxury" of not having the a/c broken, nor I have the money to pay for something that is giving so many people so much problems! thanks. The failure date was Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Honda Civic

The vehicle is a 2009 Honda Civic. There was crash involved with this Honda Civic. I was hit on the passenger side of the car by an SUV. The repairs were with genuine Honda parts but ever since then the front controls where the radio is has been extremely hot. Almost to the point I think I burn my hands to change the radio station. I think it may be hot enough to start a fire with melting the controls in the back. I have been told there is nothing that can be done or it will cost me a lot of money to diagnose it. I just see it as a safety issue to have the dash so hot it burns people. The passenger airbag did not deploy in the crash and possibly should have. The failure date was Feb. 5, 2012.

Took car to service and was informed that car needed front in alignment and that tires were not wearing evenly. Had front end alignment completed. Car still makes rumbling sound. Have not had this experience on previous models. Sound is annoying. Considering rotating and/or replacing tires. What then if sound continues?. car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Hyundai Sonata

The vehicle involved is a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. I was driving down a highway around 8:45 am with a speed of 60 mph when all of a sudden I hear what sounds like an explosion inside my car. I became very startled. I then heard this roaring of wind and glass through some of the fabric which acts as barrier between me and sunroof/moonroof. There were no other vehicles on the road with me at the time, no animals, absolutely no one or nothing around to have caused this. It literally sounded like an explosion. I then find a safe place to pull over to inspect what happened, I then had to turn around to take my vehicle to nearest Hyundai dealership. The service department stated they would inspect it but I would most likely have to pay out of pocket for this since 1) it had over 60,000 miles already, in which I have documented above 66,400 miles on my car which is approximate calculation due to not having my vehicle in front of me at this time due to it being inspected at dealership, I can't give a exact mileage at this time. 2) they haven't officially made this a recall yet, as to my next point this is not the first apparently that this has happened to. I did have glass fall into my vehicle and had the barrier not be there who knows what would have happened as I could have had glass cut me and even worse get in my eyes and cut my eyes or causing permanent damage. I strongly suggest someone look into this immediately as this is not acceptable or safe. I will not stand for Hyundai blaming me or bullying me, and letting this continue happening. My car is with the dealership in alabama as I was on my way back home to TX, I will have to get my car bagged and taped so I can make it home to TX to take it to get fixed as I am having to miss work, arrange care for my kids, pets, until I am able to get home to TX. This radio/tape cd player issue occurred Mon., May. 5, 2014.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Hyundai Sonata

The vehicle having this issue was a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. First let me tell you how many times I brought the car in for service, the service manager keot telling me they could not find anything wrong, replaced the a/c unit. Blue tooth fuses have blown out several times no radio, they replaced the fuses, then replaced the battery . . . There is a electrical short some where . . The date above in October I was so mad I was traveling on a inter state highway in the fast lane, then my car lost power,, at 67 mph no brakes no nothing thanks god. . I had to wait to power down. . . I waited for about 20 minutes shaking . . . I kept trying to start the car with the push button start nothing happened I then called Hyundai road service . . . After waiting . . . Finally the car started . . I had power but no radio ,,, I drove off the inter state and it was only 2 miles from the car dealership. . I was so mad also my blue tooth and one light burned out. . After talking to the service mgr. . He told me to wait in which I did. . . 2 hours later a service guy came to talk to me and said he could not find nothing wrong again. . Except that he would replace the light bulb. . . After that I asked the sales rep to put me into another car. . They said ok but for 50. 00 more a month and a loss of 2 years paying for the car . . . I then went to the same owner dealership and they worked with me for 2 days I got a new car 20. 00 more a month and a loss of 2 years in payments. . . Please note that a new service manager at the dealership said he worked at another dealership and told me it looks like the starter switch was the problem. . After seeing the gm recall I guess anything is possible. This radio/tape cd player issue occurred Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Infiniti G35

The car involved is a 2003 Infiniti G35. Cd player stopped working, unable to retrieve cd's, error message. Later radio and a/c controls went out. Check engine soon light came on and speedometer not working. Called Infiniti in sarasota, was told to bring car in, I did. Happened again within a few months, was told by Infiniti they could not find anything wrong, they reset sensor. A few months later, radio went out again, a/c at 60 degrees, cannot lower temperature, cannot turn on/off from dashboard; radio works from the steering wheel only. Problem caused battery to go dead, called aaa, was told something draining battery; told of electrical problems, advised electrical problem maybe the reason. Once battery purchased, advised again battery may go out due to electrical problem draining battery. Went online, found numerous complaints. Called Infiniti again, told my VIN # may not be listed. Cost approximately $1,200. 00 or more to fix this problem. Called Infiniti/Nissan corporate office, told my VIN number not on recall list. Informed them of problem, purchase of new battery due to electrical problem, and what may happen again regarding new battery. Rep advised nothing they can do. Told I can pay, and if a recall later with my VIN number , I can be reimbursed with proof of repair with Infiniti. As of this writing, I am still unable to turn on/off defrost, heater, a/c, cd player, cassette player, or radio; none of the controls on dashboard are operable. This is dangerous in so many ways in terms of road safety; defrost not working (unable to defrost windows for vision while driving); draining battery; hazardous due temperature controls that can cause a person to freeze while in my car, and a financial hardship. I pray an investigation initiated due to electrical problems by manufacturer, not caused by the consumer; that the resolution is fair and just for all, and not just by selected VIN numbers only. This problem occurred on Wednesday, June 1, 2011.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Infiniti G37

The vehicle involved was a 2008 Infiniti G37. I've been having a continuing problem in regards the stock panasonic cd changer. The cd changer is moving discs around when the power to the car if off, won't eject discs or receive them. This malfunction is draining my battery. I brought the car into a Infiniti service shop and they advised me that the cd changer was malfunctioning and would repair if for $500. 00, by inputting a remanufactured cd changer into the car. Upon them doing this, I was advised the radio they ordered, was also defective and they had to order another one. They replaced the cd changed and a month later, this cd changer also stopped working correctly. I had to go and have Infiniti replace the radio for the third time, which was out of warranty. The currently cd changer is working, but for how long? I asked Infiniti USA for a full refund and was advised that they could not assist me with any refund and weren't helpful or concerned at all about this problem. I filed a bbb claim in order to try and have my repair fee refunded, do to this defective part which should be recalled. Infiniti still uses panasonic cd changers in their new models are refuses to address this defective part issue. Many internet researches have shown this cd changer issue has affected many of their cars for several year's. In conclusion, I would never buy an Infiniti automobile again do to the total disregard to customer service. This radio/tape cd player problem happened on Dec. 9, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Jeep Patriot

The vehicle was a 2010 Jeep Patriot fwd. As I was driving home from work in a thunderstorm at 2am on the highway at 65 miles per hour, the dome light began pouring water like a waterfall all over me, the radio, the shifter, and my iphone which was in the cup holder. The next day I called the local dealer to enact my 5 year 50,000 mile warranty and schedule service. I was informed that they do not have anyone available to work on my leak until 3 weeks from now. Additionally the service is not under warranty as window seals are only covered for 3 years 35,000 miles. My concern is not only one of bad customer service from Jeep's point of view, but also safety as it is very distracting to drive while being soaked with water. The water could also cause other damages to the vehicle which could result in a crash or fire. The failure date was Friday, May 2, 2014.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Jeep Liberty

This is the second Jeep Liberty I have owned and in the past 2 years I have had to replace every window regulator in both of them. From what I have read online, this is an on-going situation. One window regulator I had fixed a year ago just broke again yesterday. I work at a prison and my vehicle must remain locked and secure at all times or I cannot drive it to work, and it is a headache wondering if the temporarily taped up window (until the part comes in) will fall down into the door and I cannot drive it until it is fixed. Please recall these things. This issue happened on 05/05/14.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Kia Motor Soul

The vehicle was a 2012 Kia Motor Soul. The computer system for the radio had a service advisory instead of a recall, so I wasn't notified by mail. But the problem is that in addition to the radio, it affects the backup camera and eventually the dashboard, making both of them inoperable. The repairmen at Ford kia in richmond, CA tried to play this off like it's not a serious problem. But if the dashboard controls are useless when driving down the highway, and you need to try and pull over to restart the car, that is a problem waiting to happen. This problem occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Lincoln LS

My 01 Lincoln Ls 3. 9 v8 caught fire while it was sitting in my driveway at 11:30 pm. By the time it was noticed, the entire front half was engulfed. It exploded about 3 times (possibly the airbags exploding). The fire department put the fire out before it reached the fuel tank. I had driven it around an hour before. The most damage was near the driver side front of car near where the headlight and air filter were located. The passenger side of the engine compartment had not burned as intense as the driver side. (the driver side front of the hood had completely burned away. . ) the fire dept said it possibly started in the engine but the fire had burned so much that they could not be sure. No investigation since I only had liability insurance. I have owned the car since 2008 and have noticed different electrical malfunctions such as radio volume increasing, indicator lights randomly coming on/off (atc, abs, air bag, ect). About one month before fire the car was having issues with not starting and randomly dying as I was driving. The battery was tested and was not the issue. I loved my car but I don't think it was ever free of issues. (window regulators/clips replaced each window twice, oil in cylinders-replaced all cylinders/coils/ect twice, car would lose power/hesitate over 40mph, gas peddle would get stuck if pressed to quickly causing rpms to surge but car would not go over 25-30 mph and would be extremely hard to stop (it would surge forward and I would have to put all my weight on the brake peddle to keep it from hitting whatever was in front of it) I would temp fix this issue by flicking the idle control lever (which I noticed one of the "e clips" had come off of one of the arms) near the throttle body (which would also get stuck open/closed and have to be cleaned on reg basis. ) many more issues not listed here. . . Beautiful car but definitely a lemon. . . This radio/tape cd player issue occurred Fri., Sep. 6, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Mercedes Benz E320

The car involved was a 2003 Mercedes Benz E320. Problem #1). The interior driver and passenger door handles have a chrome tape of some type that covers the handles. This tape overtime comes off on the inside and it is extremely sharp like a razor. I cut my finger twice on the driver-side and a passenger got cut on the passenger side a year later. I contacted mercedes about this and they wouldn't do or offer anything. Problem #2). The driver and passenger sun visors overtime get very very stiff and will not go back all the way up. My wife can not even move them at all. I also verbally reported these problems to penske mercedes in west covina, CA to my service writer and he stated "yes we are aware as it is a common problem however there is no recall on those items". He wanted to charge me $275 for each sun visor to be replaced and that did not include labor to install them. Problem #3). Lower ball joints go out quite frequently and is also a "known common problem". This radio/tape cd player issue occurred Jul. 4, 2010.

The car involved was a 1999 Mercury Tracer. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) was 1MEFM13P4X_. The trunk reflector plastic pegs broke and I've seen this on other Tracers as well. We are unable to find another. If we were to go to a used car parts lot, most likely, they would break before we could pop one off. We are forced to use tape to hold it in place. The auto repair shop said that part couldn't be ordered anymore. Yes, this is an old car, but still, we should be able to drive on the freeway without our trunk reflector blowing off and causing an accident. The driver rear tail light is doing the same thing too. The light works, but the plastic fittings break and the light could blow off as well--but it is mostly intact at this time and I'm pretty sure I can buy another, however, at this time our tape does run from most of the reflector to the light as well. I just think they should make a trunk reflector that doesn't blow off. I don't care how old the car is. It was Friday, September 28, 2012 when this radio/tape cd player issue happened.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Mitsubishi Galant

The vehicle is a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. The vehicle identification number (VIN) of this Mitsubishi Galant is 3A3AA46G63_. I started my car in the afternoon, then I turned on my radio 3 minutes later. Then, I smelled like something burnt, that's when I saw smoke came out of the front right passenger seat door. I stopped in a random tire shop to see what was going on. A few minutes later, I saw fire coming out of the loudspeaker on the front right door. A guy from the tire shop helped me to extinguish the fire. After I made sure that it was safe enough for me to drive, I drove my car to my regular auto shop to get it checked. The inside of the door was melted (halfway melted, because the fire was handled early) and blew the fuse. The failure date was Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Mitsubishi Lancer

I have an 09 Mitsubishi Lancer ES sport with the sun and sound package. The amplifier, which is under my drivers side seat, for the sound system started smoking and sparking. I took it to the dealership, who replaced it, and a week ago, while I was driving, it started smoking and sparking again, but stops when you power off the radio, if the power is on in the radio, it continues to smoke and spark. I believe there may be a wiring defect in my car that is causing this to happen and fear that if it continues my car may eventually catch on fire. Dealer will not look at it again unless I pay $120 initial fee. It was Friday, January 11, 2013 when this radio/tape cd player issue occurred.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Nissan Altima

The vehicle having this issue was a 2013 Nissan Altima. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is 1N4AL3AP5D_. When I tried to turn vehicle on, radio and other system was on, but could not put car in gear, eventually car had to be towed. The dealership advised me that the bcm has an internal short and needed to be replaced. This vehicle was bought brand new and has under 52,000 miles, has not been owned for even 2 years and it breaks down with no one taking responsibility on this issue on a semi new vehicle. My sister owns the same vehicle and I am afraid that it will happen to her too. I have done some research and found numerous boards with people complaining about this issues or something similar. It was Tuesday, April 15, 2014 when this radio/tape cd player issue happened.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Nissan Xterra

The car was a 2005 Nissan Xterra. When I drove it to work, there were a few delays while shifting gears. After half hour driving it, I heard water splashing sounds. I turned off the radio and I heard the splashing sounds even more clear. In the same time, I smelled electronic burnt like smells. Since I was on the express way, I couldn't stop right away. Then, 15 minutes later or a total of 45 minutes driving it, there were smokes from the front. I was so shock and worry if the car was going to blow up. I felt panic because I couldn't just stop in the middle of the driving lanes. Thankfully, other cars slowed down for me and let me passed. I pulled up in the nearby dairy depot's parking lot, but I was 20 minutes away from my workplace's city. It was so cold and windy, but since I was worry if the car would blow up, I got out and stood in the cold. Also, the tow truck was delayed for 2 hours and I had to missed work. The car shop told me that the radiator causes the transmission issues and all fluids are mixed together. When I researched this issue, I came across many others who had the same issue. I am shocked that it's very common. I feel so discourage to ever trust Nissan again. This car was my investment as I have $7000 loan remaining on it and I just fixed all four shafts for $1000. I have always done comprehensive maintenance to it. So, where did I go wrong? how can Nissan does this? why there was no recall that would have regained customers' trust that it is safe to drive Nissan??? why Nissan has to wait for a mountain of complaints before agreed to extend the warranty and even that was only for those under 100k mileage? does it mean that Nissan can't make a car that last more than 100k??? not only Nissan jeopardizes my safety and others, now my invesment in Nissan has turned into a chunck of debt for me. This is so wrong!!!. It was Fri., Sep. 13, 2013 when this radio/tape cd player issue occurred.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Saturn ION

The vehicle involved was a 2003 Saturn Ion. When I bought my car it wouldn't start, the dealer said it was because it sat for a long time. This problemhas been constantly been an issue since in extreme weather. I was told during one shop inspection it was electrical and they have seen a lot of this but don't know what causes it. With this case it has shut my radio on and off and a big issue that I have is when I am stopped with my foot on my brake the engine will revve up and jerk forward. This happens in the city when I'm driving at slower speeds. I've had to run off the road to avoid hitting people, the only thing that saves me from hitting anyone at lights or signs is my safety gap between me and a front car. I've been late for work, ruined vacations, been stranded with an infant in 100 degree weather, and wasted a lot of money trying to find the problems. I bought it new and have heard every excuse for the problems. . . You guys have finally stepped in on one of the problems we have been having now gm needs to answer the rest. I'm not the only one with these problems. If you do a search online you can pull up 100s of issues exactly the same. I have all my receipts when I took it onto Saturn dealers. Now I have doors that don't seal but I'm sure this is because it's old or other excuses. I had to buy another car because my kids aren't safe in it. I can't even have a clean conscious trading it in so I still am stuck with it. I have complained about this issue before but no one listens. This radio/tape cd player issue occurred 10/18/2003.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Subaru Outback

The vehicle involved was a 2011 Subaru Outback. There is an interference with the car audio system. There is an 'am' type buzzing sound that comes thru the speakers at random times. Sometimes it is very low in volume and is sporadic. Earlier this month while driving out of town for a 3 hour drive, the buzzing was very loud and continued whether the radio was on am, fm, cd, satellite and even continued when we turned the radio off. This loud buzzing sound went on for over 1/2 hour and was extremely frustrating. Reported to my Subaru dealership 3 times now with no resolution. I am sure there is something that is not right with this vehicle and I expect the dealership to find it and fix it. This radio/tape cd player issue occurred Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

The car involved is a 2008 Toyota Camry. My sun visors on both sides have messed up and now have both been replaced. My cd player also started messing up earlier this year. It says there's a cd in, but there's not. You can't load a cd or eject it. The service center at the Toyota dealership told me they don't see anything jammed in there and that I would be better off replacing it with an aftermarket stereo system b/c it would be cheaper and they would have to send my car off to have it fixed. Hopefully, I'm not the only one experiencing this problem and a recall will be issued!. The failure date was Tue., Apr. 16, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Volkswagen Jetta

The vehicle involved is a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. The VIN of the problem Jetta is 3VWTL7AJ1A_. First incident: occurred in fall 2012, exact date unknown. Slowing to turn right, vehicle stalled without warning. Power steering was not responding. It was taken to dealership the next day. Vehicle was evaluated, nothing was found. We were told that they could see some sort of power interruption, but could find nothing wrong with any of the systems involved. Second incident: occurred about 1 months after first incident. While slowing to a stop, intending to make a left turn out of parking lot, again vehicle stalled without warning. Did not take car to dealership, as it had just recently been evaluated. Gas was < 1/8 tank filled, and parking lot exit was on a slight decline, suspected maybe it was related to low fuel, and we tried to keep the car above 1/4 tank full at all times thereafter. Third incident: occurred 4/29/14. Slowing to pull into a parking space, again engine stalled without warning. I noted that the battery indicator light on the dashboard lit up slightly before or as car was stalling. Power steering failed as well when car stalled. Radio / heater / other electronics seemed unaffected after a brief flicker. Fourth incident: occurred about 20 minutes later on 4/29/14. Slowing for a stop light, vehicle stalled unexpectedly. Car is due for inspection, appointment in 2 days. Dealership asked to investigate stalling as well. This issue happened on October 1, 2012.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Volkswagen CC

The car involved was a 2009 Volkswagen Cc. On 9/12/13 while driving on the highway without any warning the car loss engine power, would not accelerate and shut off in the middle of the highway. The battery light did come on once the car shut off. I was unable to restart the car to move off the highway. I immediately turned on the hazards and kept my foot on the brakes so cars would not crash into me. The car still had full power with all controls (radio, power windows, ac, lights, etc. ). The vehicle was towed to a local vw dealer and diagnosed as a defective low pressure fuel pump and fuel control module, $850 repair. The service advisor stated this is a common problem with the Cc's (direct injection). The repairs were completed by the vw dealer on 09/13/13. On 09/18/13 five days later and less than 100 miles after the low pressure fuel pump & module was replaced; while commuting from work the check engine light came on and the car immediately lost engine power, would not accelerate and shut off in rush hour traffic. Again it was towed back to vw and this time diagnosed as defective high pressure fuel pump and control module, for another $850 in repairs. On 09/21/13 I contacted vw of America online and made a formal complaint; twice in one week the vehicle has shut off in traffic, with no warning, endangering my life and the lives of others. The vw dealer is playing a guessing game with diagnosing the problem. The vw dealer also contacted vw of America on my behalf with the problems and concerns with the vehicle. Vw offered to cover the parts and I paid the labor $200+. The repairs were completed on 9/25/13 by vw, I drove the car home less than 25 miles and the car started to sputter and the check engine light came on. I immediately called the vw dealer and was told to bring the car back. 3 times in two weeks, the car is back to the vw dealer and they can't fix the problem. This is a real safety problem. This issue happened on Thursday, Sep. 12, 2013.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Volvo XC90

On 10/21/2008 I was driving my 2004 Volvo Xc90 on the highway rt. 93. It was raining and the interior of the car was foggy. I could not see outside so I turned on the a/c but it was not functioning. Also, the cd player was not worked. I bought my car new in 2004 with has only 32,014 miles on the car now. The boston Volvo village dealer inspected the car and said the blower motor, resistor and the cd player need to be replaced. The cost of parts and labor of the blower and resistor was $1,650 and the cd $700. I contacted the Volvo head office and they were willing to provide the parts free but the labor cost on me. I have no choice to do it right away because I have two children. I need the car to carry them to school everyday. It is a safety issue if the ventilation and heat is not working. I cannot drive the car if there is no ventilation and the car is foggy during rainy or snowy days. If I was in the highway, I have to park on the side for the poor visibility. It would put me and my family in a dangerous situation. I paid $1,058 for the labor and $57. 50 for the inspection cost. If the Volvo admitted the parts has problem and willing to replace them free, they should not charge me labor cost. It was 10/21/08 when this radio/tape cd player issue happened.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of BMW 328

The vehicle having this issue was a 2013 BMW 328i. The BMW 328 2013 has a tech design flaw which will lead to a possible fatal accident. The screen which shows telephone numbers or radio or navigation directions is placed in such a position that the driver cannot read the script on the secondary and tertiary words when the vehicle is travelling in sunlight we live in florida and where the sun is bright and if you are driving and want to make a phone call without holding a cell phone you can have an accident since you cannot see the words or icons that are flashed on the screen. The screen washes out the same as an iphone when it is in the sunlight the placement of the screen in the 2013 BMW 328 is a hazard and if not changed to a shaded position on the dash will lead to many unforseen accidents there should be a recall on this model to have this corrected. car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Buick Rendezvous

The car involved was a 2002 Buick Rendezvous. 5 minutes after being on the highway at 70 miles per hour the vehicle started dropping speed and message center started showing low battery, lights problem, service engine soon, brake fluid low, windshield wiper fluid low, low tire pressure, security service. Also, when I come to a stop the engine shuts off by itself as a low power, few minutes later, starts back up and can keep driving but hitting the gas pedal and releasing it after a few seconds at a time to recharge the battery so it would not shut off again. Also, after this happened the emergency lights began to come on and off by themselves. Took to a mechanic to have it serviced they said to replace the battery and alternator and if problems continued the starter. Few months later after replacing these parts, it started giving me problems with low fan as if the relays were bad but they are in good condition, low battery fuel and had to be changed again because the battery was not retaining charge. The vehicle still has all the messages in the message center, they never went away. Then within the last month I wanted to have the radio replaced, but I found out the speakers have power coming straight from the battery to the radio that causes it to overheat and makes static when the radio is on while driving. Also, the neutral safety switch for the ignition key got burned so now it is not working but still has allowed for the car to turn on and off and dry. A week ago, 04/28/14 the vehicle has been showing an error message in the message center, every light possible in the message center about the services that need to be done come on, which I assume now is the body control module that has gone bad. Most frequent message is security. Gas gage goes up and down and never gives an accurate reading of how much is in the vehicle. It was Mar. 16, 2013 when this radio/tape cd player issue happened.

car   Radio/tape Cd Player problem of Buick Enclave

Purchased 2009 Buick Enclave new in April 2009. Taking it to the dealer for the third time in a week for the steady malfunction indicator light (aka check engine light). First visit (Wednesday) revealed pistons misfiring. Approximate cost - $400. Second visit (Friday) did not reveal anything. Dealer stated that when the mil was 'fixed' on Tuesday, it probably triggered something to make the mil go off for no reason. Or, it could be a real problem that will only be revealed after the mil is reset. If the mil does come back on, it's probably the catalytic converter - which will cost almost $600 for the part and $400 plus for the labor. Mil came back on Friday evening. Third visit is tomorrow and I shudder to think what will happen. After researching online, it appears many Enclave owners have experienced problems with the mil. Very costly problems. Have had the same problems that others have experienced - timing change, batter replaced at an unusually short period of time after purchasing vehicle, power steering, memory seat motor blew, peeling paint from a/c and radio buttons and other buttons, etc. Really enjoyed the Enclave but starting to regret this purchase as it is only 5 years old. Some of these problems should have been recalls and no cost to consumer. It was 03/11/14 when this radio/tape cd player issue occurred.
