car   Turn Signal problem of Chevrolet Aveo

The car involved is a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is KL1TG66646_. My daytime running lights have pretty much never worked, I have always had to manually engage my lights otherwise the dtr lights would go for a few minutes then burn flicker and short out, only working when I turn the lights on the manual way. My back turn signal shorted out around early 2012. Not only did it stop working but it melted the light socket housing, making it so I had to replace the whole light socket. Most recently, either may 14th or 15th, I started up my car, but I couldn't put it into gear, it was impossible to get it into gear, so we tried to turn off the car to figure out our next move. But the key would not come out, so we had to restart the car and finally got the gear to engage, and we took it home and had to unplug the battery because we could not take out the key but did not want it to wear out the battery. It was Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 when this turn signal issue occurred.

car   Turn Signal problem of Lincoln Navigator

On 12/03/11 when my husband started our 2002 Lincoln Navigator a loud bang happened, my seat belt tightened across my chest so tight it hurt and I couldn't breathe, the car started smoking so bad that my oldest daughter jumped out of the truck because it scared her so bad. The seat belt was so tight it wouldn't come off at first which scared me because the smoke was by the side of my head! now the seat belt won't work and I don't want to use my car without it. In the past year, 2011, my truck keeps blowing fuses on the automatic lights and air bag for the passenger side. I keep replacing the fuse but they only last about a week and then they blow out. Once the fuse is replaced the automatic lights work, the airbag light goes off. But, no sooner do I change it, it blows again. So, I haven't replaced it. In February I have to go for emmissions and I won't pass with this light on. In the last 6 months, my bright lights have turned on by themselves. I thought it only happened when we use the turn signals, but my husband told me it does it all the time. I didn't believe him until three days ago when I hit a bump and they went on. Then, yesterday I was sitting in our running, parked car and the brights just turned on while the car was on and not moving. That really scared me. What kind of electrical problems does this vehicle have? I have done the one recall on my truck for engine fire. Are there more recalls I should know about?. This problem occurred on 12/03/11.

car   Turn Signal problem of Lincoln Town Car

The car is a 2003 Lincoln Town Car. The VIN of the car is 1LNHM84W53_. When vehicle engine is running and turn signals are actuated, the digital dash, turn signals, and air conditioner cuts off. Additionally, steering effort increases substantially, abs cycles off and back on when the power is restored. The duration may be momentary (less than 5 seconds) or last for a minute or longer. Frequency is 80+ percent of the time when the turn signals are engaged (left or right). I have had another Ford vehicle which gave problems with this multi-function switch also. Ford has a poorly designed turn signal-windshield wiper-washer switch compounded by the fact power is shunted through this switch all the time, causing overheating and premature failures. This Lincoln is not an incomplete vehicle. The last line of the vehicle detaill form needs a 2nd alternative or webmaster needs to provide for the default choice (--). It was May 2, 2005 when this turn signal issue occurred.

car   Turn Signal problem of Mazda Tribute

The vehicle involved was a 2001 Mazda Tribute. When driving at highway speeds speedometer goes up and down. When driving and letting up on accelerator pedal, vehicle shifts into lower gear. Feels like brakes were applied very hard. Vehicle taken to dealer 3 times, cannot find cause of problem. Consumer states the cluster gauges are erratic, then the transmission shifts long or slow, on three different occasions, the transmission shifted from over drive to first, when letting up on the gas pedal it felt like the brakes were applied very hard, dealer stated the transmission was replaced. Vehicle has been worked on for water intrusion, carpet had to be replaced, dealer removed and resealed the windshield and repaired the rust in the windshield frame, rust also formed on the mounting brackets under the dash due to water leak, dealer removed and refit the left front fender to gain access to water leakage through the missed body seam and wiring harness. Dealer replaced the fuse box to repair the radio and cluster gauges. Turn signals are inoperable. Consumer states the only repair completed was the replacement of the carpet. This problem occurred on Saturday, May 5, 2001.

car   Turn Signal problem of Mazda Protege

The car is a 2000 Mazda Protege. The dim lights went out and the bright light indicator came on. Fortunately the bright lights worked, or I would have been driving without lights. The turn signal/light control wand was replaced. About two months later the problem repeated. It was late without much traffic and I drove home for 30 miles with only bright lights. This time I took the car to the Mazda dealer. The wire controlling the lights had over heated which caused the wand to burnout and a wire connector to warp. A new wire was threaded from the connector through the firewall to the control wand. The lights are now working. This issue happened on August 15, 2010.

car   Turn Signal problem of Mercedes Benz GLK

The car involved is a 2013 Mercedes Benz Glk. Twice I've had the issue where none of my lights work while I've been driving. Not sure about the headlights, however both times I hit my turn signal to turn (doesn't matter right or left) and there is no indicator visible on my dashboard. Also there is no ticking/signaling noise. When I've pulled over and had my passenger get out and look at my rear or front turn signals nothing works, period. I did mention this to the dealership the first time and they couldn't find anything. I've not bothered a 2nd time since they couldn't find anything the first time. To solve this issue; I have to power my car off for a few seconds, then start my engine back up. Both times this has solved my turn signal issue. Not sure if my flashers have the issue or not when this happens. Knowing me I would think I would have checked it, however I can't recall. This turn signal issue occurred Tue., Sep. 10, 2013.

car   Turn Signal problem of Mercedes Benz C320

The vehicle is a 2001 Mercedes Benz C320. My 2001 mercedes-benz C320's battery was constantly going bad and having to be jumped after not starting it or driving it for approx. 24 hours. Finally, after a certified mercedes mechanic investigated the problem, he informed me that the problem originated from the driver's seat module, which was draining my battery. He informed me that if I unplugged it for the time being, my battery would no longer drain. Sure enough, after unplugging the seat module, I no longer had issues with my battery draining. The seat module controls seat adjustments as well as steering wheel adjustments, so this is very inconvenient, and unsafe, because there are times, when I have to plug the module in adjust my seat or steering wheel, and it does not work, and I'm stuck with the seats or steering wheel in an uncomfortable position. I have also had problems with brake (stop) lights, turn signal lights, etc. , in which the vehicle indicator states that particular lights are malfunctioning, and then after awhile it goes away, and then days later, the lights are inoperable again. I have spent quite a bit of money replacing bulbs. I originally purchased this vehicle in 2004 when it was still under warranty. It was 04/18/08 when this turn signal issue happened.

car   Turn Signal problem of Mercury Grand Marquis

The car was a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. The lights were on in normal mode when I heard a click and they suddenly cut out. I was driving slowly in town and was able to pull over; I discovered that I could hold the turn signal control signal for the passing brights and get light; otherwise no lighting would turn on regardless of attempts to change the lighting mode and restarting the car. Eventually the lights came back days later, but have continued to cut out intermittently ever since. This is a major safety hazard as there is no predicting the failure, and the brights are not good to have to hold to use. This problem occurred on 04/09/13.

car   Turn Signal problem of Nissan Titan

The car involved was a 2006 Nissan Titan. Going home from work, while driving every time I put the right turn signal on I noticed the light at the dashboard flashes so weird and then disappear. I made five right turns that night all acting the same thing. The next day I took the truck to the garage and had it checked they found out that the wiring inside the lamp assembly was melted, the wire was tied with plastic string wrap so tight that made the insulation of the wire melts and created a short circuit. The whole inside of the combination lamp assembly rear, rh of my truck was melted. They cut the plastic string wrap and then put some electrical tape on the wires, they have a hard time of putting the lamp assembly back into the truck and until now I did not replace the rh rear combination lamp assembly. car   Turn Signal problem of Subaru Impreza

The vehicle involved was a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The rear-end lighting (brake lights, turn signals) for a number of recent model years from a few manufacturers is absolutely terrible. If it hasn't already caused accidents I would be completely amazed. I have seen, on at least Subarus and volkswagens, brake lights and turn signal lights which are virtually impossible to distinguish in real-life driving scenarios. I am an exceptionally skilled and attentive driver so this hasn't caused me any harm yet, but I know most drivers are not skilled or attentive. This turn signal issue occurred Tuesday, May. 8, 2012.

car   Turn Signal problem of Audi S4

The instrument cluster on all the Audi S4s and also on vw loose pixels on the dash and it goes out, it is a hazard because this is a gauge that does a system check every time you start the vehicle, the car tells the driver if there are brake problems, engine problems, also if lights are out I. E. Brake lights turn signals, and also fluid status of the car. When this instrument cluster goes out or as Audi calls it loses pixels, the driver does not know the status of the car which could cause safety and harm to the operator. It has been documented many times and has been replaced on my car over 4 times and is a common occurrence with other Audi owners. Also the window regulator clip that holds the window breaks as well, Audi and vw did a recall VIN specific models of the beetle jetta and a4 but not the S4, the clip is the same design that is used in my vehicle. It also has been documented many times of failing and causes another safety issue, if the clip breaks the window will roll down unexpectedly, I. E. Causing the window to break which throws glass all over the occupants in the car and also exposes limbs to objects outside of the vehicle without knowledge. Many complaints have been made about this design flaw. I have tried to resolve these issues with Audi multiple times and phone calls and multiple emails, regardless of the age and miles on my car, it is the same things that keep breaking, causing these safety issues. Both of these issues have been an ongoing problem from day one when these designs were put on the market. And replacing these items is necessary to ensure the safety of my occupants and myself. They need to be redesigned and revamped to solve these issues. Replacing them every single year is not acceptable. And even more so when someone's life is at risk, due to a bad and careless design. This turn signal problem happened on 07/18/2001.

car   Turn Signal problem of Audi A4

The car is a 2003 Audi A4. 1. Exterior lights and turn signal lights burning out at a rate of every 500 miles. Audi will not replace. 2. Wiper transmission has corroded, seized, failed, and consequently burned out the wiper motor 2x now - once at 40,000 miles and again at 80,000. Audi would not cover this under the initial new car warranty, and they demand $750+ to fix this faulty assembly. 3. Coolant and wiper fluid tanks are made out of cheap plastic. I've had 2-3 leaks in each tank due to holes in these tanks across the life of the car. The most recent coolant tank leak was pushing coolant through so fast that it burned up my engine and my timing belt snapped. I had to pay for this repair - $2,000+. These are just 3 problems among countless costly problems I've incurred since the 3-year warranty ran out on my Audi. I've easily matched the $35k+ cost of the car with parts and repairs, and the car only has 88,000 miles on it. The coil pack recall has been an issue at least every 2,000 miles. I cannot make a trip of more than 100 miles without a coil snapping, a trip to the dealership, and an argument with service reps about whether or not I have to pay for these coil repairs. 88,000 miles later, the A4 I purchased brand new is basically not safely drivable except to run short errands around the city. All of this is not even to mention the cheap materials that went into the car interior. Leather is wearing in places no one even sits, and all the rubberized buttons have peeled away. Please help. Audi will do nothing. I've spoken to others who have this same make and model sitting in a garage because it is no longer drivable. There are 2 known recalls on this car, but there is something more serious going on with the build than just the coil pack and fuel injector. My car has stalled and seized on relatively short highway trips despite routine maintenance and attention to recalled parts. It was 04/01/07 when this turn signal issue occurred.

car   Turn Signal problem of BMW 335

The car is a 2009 BMW 335i. The VIN of the car is WBAPM77559_. The brake lights, turn signal lights do not function properly. Several led are not functional. BMW is aware of the problem, but refuses to fix this safety issue. See sib 63-06-10. This is a very common problem on this series of cars. Search bimmer forums and you will see many people trying to figure out how to repair these lights because of the immense costs in replacing them. This needs to be fixed at the manufacturer level. BMW says that it is because of a poor connection within the light. They replace both of them if the vehicle is under warranty, but refuse to do anything for anyone out of warranty. I would like to request an investigation into this refusal of BMW to do anything about this obvious and dangerous safety issue. They did a recall on the 5 series car for the same problem. Don't you think they would also recall the 3 series. I guess they are trying to get out of fixing their manufacturing problems. There should be a warranty of merchanability regarding these lights. If they are not fit for their intended purpose, then the mfg should correct it. They say the new lights have a anti vibration gasket that helps. So, they are aware of how to fix it. They just need to do it. It was Mon., May. 12, 2014 when this turn signal issue happened.

car   Turn Signal problem of Buick Regal

Just as the current gm recall my Buick Regal suddenly loses all power while driving. The 1st time this occurred I was on the interstate going 60 mph at night, 1st all the dash lights flashed on, then my headlights, power steering, all electronics and engine died! luckily I was able to make it to the emergency lane! once, I was able to pull my frightened self together, the car started right back up and I was able to get off the interstate and make it home very cautiously. In the days following, I tested it just driving very close to home and continuously had the same problem, somewhat seeming to occur more often when I used my turn signal, these incidences of total power failure occurred @ speeds of 0-35 mph, since I was unwilling to put it back on the interstate. When performing a simple internet search for a solution to this problem, I quickly found that I was not the only to have this problem, some with a 1998 Buick Regal just as myself, and others with a similar make & model (still gm) and close to the same year, well before 2003. After taking the car to a mechanic & getting a new alternator and blower motor, the car died yet again before I even made it out of the parking lot. It was suggested to me to try the new alternator before replacing the ignition and related parts which are quite pricey on this vehicle which has 1 of those chips in the key. This problem has yet to be solved and I wonder if the current recall is even more overdue than thought. Please help! do not wait until myself, my children or others suffer fatal consequences! this vehicle is new to me, has very low mileage and is in otherwise in great condition and also has a satisfactory carfax report. My sincerest thanks!. This problem occurred on 01/05/2014.
