Vehicle Shudder problem is a common vehicle problem that happens to most car brands and models. The following is a sample list of Vehicle Shudder problems reported in most popular vehicles.
The vehicle involved is a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. VIN of the vehicle was 2CNALPEC5B_. Vehicle has had inordinate transmission noise since around 10k mileage. While vehicle was idling, went into incredibly rough idle, vehicle shaking with warning message about stabilitrack error and vehicle shut down. While this initially happened while idling, it also happened numerous times at speeds from 20-50 mph as reported by spouse. After multiple trips to the dealer for unacceptable engine noise, engine shutting off and cel illumination (seperate issue that has also never been remedied), an issue with the timing chain and fuel pump was alluded to and that a "fix" for this would be available in late spring of 2013. Fuel pump and timing chain replaced at no charge that summer, but similar symptoms continued. Loud, rough idle, intermittent vehicle shutdowns. Eventually took to another dealer who stated it was a throttle body issue and that this somehow was not covered by powertrain warranty even though this "used" to be part of the transmission, it somehow no longer is on newer models. After a $500+ repair, issue hasn't reoccurred in last 3 months (so far), but cel still illuminates during wet conditions (which both dealers cannot seem to fix). I feel this vehicle has been a lemon since about 10k miles and continues to be so. We only own chevy's but between this vehicle and our apparently dangerous '05 cobalt, we can no longer afford to put our trust in chevy and will need to seek out other vehicle manufacturers. It is apparent chevy only cares about the money we can funnel to them for buying american. That will stop with the next vehicle purchase this summer when we turn in the cobalt (for probably next to nothing due to its new safety reputation). I mention this info as we really want to put our faith, trust and money into an american car coportation like chevy and have been overly patient with them. No longer. . . Others need to know about these issues. This vehicle shudder issue occurred Monday, April 2, 2012.

The car is a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse. Vehicle identification number (VIN): 1GNKRGED8C_. In snow of almost any depth, the vehicle will shake violently on acceleration from 35 mph up. The transmission will not accelerate and feels like its bogging down. It will stay like this for sometime hours then it will cease. Fender wells are clear of debris. The problem is it will do this sometimes at will on the roadway where I have been almost rear ended trying to get up to speed, there are multiple complaints on the chevy Traverse forum website. Someone is going to get seriously hurt or die. This issue happened on Feb. 6, 2013.

VIN of the vehicle was 2C3KA63H56_. My 2006 Chrysler 300c was a car that was well taken care of. It had less than 90,000 miles at the date of the incident. I was in a drive-thru and I turned off the car to save fuel. When I went to restart the vehicle, the car made a loud grinding noise that sound similar to sticking a baseball card in bicycle spokes but much louder and stronger. I had the car towed to chuck clancy Chrysler and I was informed that a valve seat had dropped and destroyed several cylinders. The bill was $3,000. This car was always maintained by maintenance records and the oil changed with pennzoil platinum ultra. To add to this story, I received the car back and the same issue happened again two weeks later. Needless to say, I was out another $4000 for this repair. Chrysler refused to cover it and gave me the cold shoulder. I would never purchase a Chrysler product again. It was 05/15/2012 when this vehicle shudder issue happened.

The car involved is a 2004 Dodge Durango. Crash was involved with this problem. I was pulling away from a stop when the engine suddenly made some loud noises sounding like grinding and the vehicle lost all power, steering and brakes. I had to navigate over railroad tracks with a train coming and onto a side street and a ditch. I was the only one in the truck at the time and was not hurt and there was no damage to the vehicle. If it had been one of my kids or wife driving it would have been tragic due to no power and trying to steer a 5000lb truck across traffic and railroad tracks with a train coming. This vehicle was well maintained and had an oil change two weeks prior to the failure. Within the past year this I had the vehicle completely gone thru by dealer mcinerney in mi and they got it ready for what I thought would be the next 100,000 miles. After I had the vehicle towed home due to the estimated $7000 repair bill, I called several Chrysler mechanics who told me this is a known issue with that model and engine year due to both water leaking into the engine compartment (TSB issued) and a possible problem with the crank main bearing. I called Chrysler customer service (joke) and both the people I talked too "literally" asked why I was calling since the warranty had expired and it was no longer Chrysler's problem. I told them because warranty has no bearing on a known defect. The second person I talked to literally laughed at me on the phone and refused to let me talk to someone higher than him stating "I am as high as it gets" and told me "Chrysler is not going to do anything for you". I asked his if this is the new Chrysler after "I" helped bail them out, he said they bailed themselves out. This is the same customer service that told me there were no electrical issues, then 6 months later recalled my truck due to electric fires. If this does not get resolved by Chrysler, I nor will a anyone in my family ever buy another Chrysler product. The failure date was 08/16/13.

The vehicle was a 2013 Ford Focus. VIN of the vehicle was 1FADP3K24D_. The vehicle stalls and shudders when shifting through lower gears. To avoid the issue you have to accelerate at a a fairly high rate from a stop sign. Very dangerous when turning corners. Have taken into the dealer once scheduled for second trip this week. They say it is with in their tolerance boundaries. This problem occurred on Friday, May 9, 2014.

The vehicle involved was a 2012 Ford F-150. My two children and I were driving up hwy 75 north from macon when we accelerated to the next lane. The speed limit is 70 so we were just going to pass in at a normal rate when the engine just quits and the whole car starts to shudder. Now I have had this happen at 19,000 miles and took it in to the dealership. This was only about two months ago. Went in today before I read all the complaints about this 3. 5 eco boost engine and the similar problems I experianced. It was raining on when we had this happen but it occered before with no rain. As the turck stopped and shuddered we were fianlly able to get to side of the road and did not get hit by oncomming traffic. There are six lanes of traffic in this area. Supprised today when I went to the dealership and told them what was happening and they didnt even know of the problems or have ever heard of it. ????? so based on what I have read I called back only to find out they have had issues. The failure date was 05/14/2014.

The car is a 2009 GMC Acadia. While driving out of town this weekend we noticed quite a few problems with the vehicle shaking/vibrating a lot while on the interstate and when driving up inclines it would start to surge back and forth. After some doing some research online it seems as if the transmission is starting to show signs of the common wave plate problem in this vehicle. This needs to be addressed, as well as all the other common issues that this platform has, by gm. It was May 10, 2014 when this vehicle shudder issue happened.

Purchased my new 2012 shawd Acura Tl advance in March of 2012. The car had less than 100 miles when purchased and currently has 5k miles (January 2013). The car vibrates when driving at speeds between 40 and 80 mph. It feels like the tires are flat spotted or wheels are out of balance. The wheels and tires have been checked and confirmed by the dealer on 2 seperate ocasions as ok. The dealer classified this vibration as a "vehicle characteristic. " I'm worried it is the sign of a major issue they dont want to deal with. It was Monday, April 2, 2012 when this vehicle shudder issue occurred.

2013 Honda Pilot. Consumers write in regards to vehicle shudders, pulsates and vibrates intermittently during normal driving conditions. The consumer stated the shudder, pulsating and vibration occurred intermittently during any and all driving conditions. The consumer was informed by Honda representatives ad technicians that vibration was caused by the variable cylinder control system and it usually started after 1000 miles. The consumer was informed Honda was working on a fix, but may or may not have a solution in the future. Also, there was a very distinct and constant pull to the left in the steering system. The fuel system alert light illuminated after the tank was filled with gas. The consumer was instructed by the dealer, to remove and replace the gas gap. The alert light went out. The car involved is a 2000 Honda Cr-v. This car vibrates a lot when I am driving at any speed. It has been going on for several years. I did not find out the specific problem until 3/15/2014. I had three different mechanics look at the car for the problem. They all said that the rear u-joint on the propeller shaft is badly damaged. This u-joint is not repairable by Honda design because it is a part of the propeller shaft. According to the Honda dealer, the entire shaft must be replaced at a cost of about $1800. I believe that it is a manufacturing defect. The propeller was probably defective when I bought the car. According to the mechanics, they have never seen this problem before. This car has never been in any major accident to cause this problem. It is a safety hazard which should be covered by Honda. The problem was probably there when I bought the car but it has gotten worse since then. My husband and I have driven the car mostly locally all these years. My husband, dinesh gupta, has my permission to act on my behalf in this matter. Thanks! jane. It was Friday, March 15, 2013 when this vehicle shudder issue occurred.

The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) was JNKCA31A0Y_. Consumer had to have 2000 Infiniti I30 rotors resurfaced. On several occasions, the rotors were resurfaced. All four rotors were replaced at 39,868. At 62k miles the vehicle began to vibrate at 55 mph. Other problems: the transmission stayed in the low gear too long, there was squeaking on the right side of the vehicle when on rough roads, vibration in the steering due to the rotors being out of round, the front window squeaks and the rear view mirror was loose. This vehicle shudder problem happened on Friday, April 1, 2005.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. I was driving on the highway, hit a bump in the road while changing lanes. The car started shaking very violently. I has to pull off the road slowing to about 40 mph in order to regain control of the vehicle and stop the shaking. When the shaking starts the entire vehicle shakes so violently it is hard to steer or even focus on the road because you are shaking too. I have had the vehicle in to Jeep dealerships on a number of occasions and they all tell me the suspension is fine. Finally this last time, after complaining of the "death shake" as I have come to research and discover, they were able to put a larger steering dampener on my vehicle than was there in order to control the shaking. I still feel vibrations at expressway speeds but it is not violent shaking anymore. This repair cost over $250. This issue happened on Monday, Apr. 1, 2013.

I have a 2010 Jeep Patriot sport with 50000 miles on it. I also had the dealership install an auto start for winter months to warm up car. I drove the car on Dec 7 for 10 miles traveling at a speed of 40. I stopped home for 15 minutes and when I restarted my car a red flashing lightning bolt lit up on my dash which was the throttle accompanied by the off road traction control. I backed out the car and it was shaking and loud. I decided to drive another vehicle a few days later I drove it to the dealership taking the backroads and it would not go over 20 mph and shook frequently. I was concerned for my safety. I have a lifetime powertrain engine warranty and thomas Dodge dealership in highland, in is not covering under warranty. They state the throttle is not a component of the engine or power train. The cost of repair is $690. I was wondering if any recalls exist on the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeeps in regards to throttle body assembly and to consider my model, make and year. The vehicle is a 2011 Kia Motor Sorento. Will intermittent turn on during driving and stay on. If you stop and turn off car and then restart may or may not return on. Car as a bit of a shake to it some times. Had cruise control not turn on. Electrical seems wacky in the vehicle. Also had it been stuck in park or times could not move the shifter to park or reverse. Seriously needs to be reviewed. All these issues happen intermittent and never when near the kia dealership. Vehicle 90% of the time has been wonderful, however there are issues that need investigated and corrected for example all the above I have listed. This problem occurred on Wed., Nov. 13, 2013.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2006 Kia Motor Sorento. I was merging onto a highway when all of a sudden I heard a loud thud and my battery light & e brake light came on and I lost power steering. I was able to drive the vehicle to a local mechanic who informed me that the harmonic balancer had fallen off due to the crankshaft bolt sheering off. Once it was fixed by an ase certified mechanic, approximately 8000 miles later I was driving to work and the car started shaking like I was driving on rumble strips. I took it back to a service garage and after replacing the harmonic balancer and crankbolt again they came to the conclusion that the crankshaft was bent. The garage suggested replacing the entire crankshaft and balancer and then having the engine rebalanced or a complete engine replacement both of which are greater than $3500 to repair on a vehicle that's worth about $5500. . It's been approximately $2000 that I've already spent to correct this problem and the problem still exists. It's at a local kia dealership now, where I purchased the vehicle and they told me that it's not fixable and they can only recommend to replace the engine which would cost $6,700 for a used engine with 71,000 miles on it. It seems that this same issue happens on these motors between 60k and 90k miles then from doing some research, it seems after repairs are done the same problem happens approximately 6k-10k miles later. After looking into it, it leads me to believe that the only cause of this problem would be manufacturer defects and faulty parts. This has caused me to be out of a vehicle since mid November of 2012. It's disturbing with how many other complaints I'm reading on this site about the same exact thing!. This issue happened on 11/23/2012.

The vehicle Is a 2008 Lexus Is. When coming to a stop or when at a stop, my car would shake very hard as if it was going to turn off. Fortunately, it never has. I would have to put the car into neutral to stop the shaking or it would stop on it's own after 10-15 seconds. During this time, no lights have ever turned on to indicate there was a problem. The first time this happened was in late July 2009/ early August 2009 and ever since then, it would happen at least 2 times a day. My car has been in the shop multiple times for this Issue. The failure date was 08/01/2009.

At queen city Lincoln Mercury @ 7301 south blvd, charlotte, nc 28273 with the same problem. Mine is one of them. The vehicle has 5000 miles on it, has been there for 23 days, and they can not figure out why the vehicle shakes and vibrates as if running over rumble strips at 20 - 25 mph. Sounds like unsafe construction to me that should be declared a public safety hazard. The trucks are from 2 different states originally so it is not a matter of one delivery of 2 bad vehicles. The car involved was a 2010 Mazda Tribute. While driving on freeway during peak traffic (stop and go) all of a sudden my car would not go when pressing on gas pedal and wrench light came on. Because I was on a slight decline my car very slowly crossed two lanes of oncoming traffic and finally made it on the side of the freeway. Car started to shake really bad before turning off ignition. Got car towed to dealer and they couldn't fine anything wrong after keeping car for one week. Picked up car on 12/12/13 and same exact problem happen again on 1/8/14, had car towed to dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong after keeping car for one week. Picked up car on 1/18/14. They said they can't do anything unless the wrench comes out. My concern is when I'm driving on the freeway and cars are going 45 - 60 mph, I'll get hit from the back and probably get badly injured or may even die!. The car is a 2008 Mazda Cx-7. The VIN of this vehicle was JM3ER29338_. So this is my complaint and story so we went to florida like a week and came back to texas. When we got back home I started to hear an noise on the engine. I took the car to the mechanic and he said that wasn't normal it sounded like a diesel truck. So the next day I had to go to work and I was coming back home the engine light started to flash continuously and car started to shake so I drove it to a auto parts store, so they can check the code and they said it was a piston 3 misfire. I took it to mechanic again and he said the spark plug had oil and he said that was not a good sign he said it might be the engine or a bent valve. First of all this is our only car and don't have money to fix it. A use engine cost 3,000 and up and if its the head it cost like 1900 and I've been reading a lot of bad reviews of this car I really need help I can't afford to fix my car we are a family of 5. The vehicle having this issue was a 2007 Mercedes Benz C230. I purchased my car brand new, it was never previously owned and directly from a Mercedes Benz dealer. I started having problems with speed and gear shifting back in may 2012. When driving on the freeway normal speed (55mph) the car would begin to slow down no matter how much I pressed the accelerator the car would slow to a complete stop. I would have to attempt to pull over off the freeway, turn the car completely off, let it sit and then start it again and the car would run normal. When I get off the freeway or now even when I am driving on a back road going 35 mph the car would shake as I came to a stop sign or traffic light (as if I was driving a stick shift and didn't put the car in neutral or press the clutch) and then it would shut down completely. Now I am having a third issue in addition to these issues where the car will shift gears on it's own and I'm driving in automatic mode not as a 5 speed. This is completely ridiculous for me to have transmission issue on a Mercedes Benz that I purchased new. I took it to a dealer who claims that I have to replace the entire transmission due to one small piece within the transmission system. I have checked online and have seen that hundreds of other benz owners are having the same problems with no resolution from the manufacturer. I am requesting an investigation and a recall. This is an extreme safety hazard that a car will completely shut down while on a freeway and there have been times when I have almost collided with other cars due to the immediate decline in speed. I have to always find a way to pull over to shut off the car. I purchased this car because of the quality that it should provide. Please follow up with me regarding this issue I am extremely concerned that requests are being ignored by the manufacturer and no one is looking into this matter. The failure date was May. 15, 2012.

The vehicle involved is a 2001 Mercedes Benz E430. The catalytic converter began very lightly rattling at low speeds only intermittently at only around 50000 miles. It now has approx. 60000 miles on it and has a loud noticeable rattle which is also causing vibration in the car and has made the hard shifting from first gear in the transmission worse and of course it is now "out of warranty" when it needs to be replaced and I will have to pay thousands of dollars to replace a part that should last a lot longer especially for a vehicle that is pristine and garage kept. Hopefully the oem remanufactured dealer part wont die in another 50,000 miles. As a note, mercedes should not say the transmission fluid is lifetime because it definitely is not and owners who obey the lifetime fluid recommendation will have transmission issues sooner or later. I can only assume my transmission shifting problems on this model is due to the fluid and will be having it replaced. Also, the digital instrument cluster has malfunctioning temperature and time gauges and has burned out leds in the speedometer area, which requires a ~$1,500 complete instrument cluster replacement as advised. This occurred at about 40,000 miles. Many owners have this issue and a recall was issued for other models but not this model even though it is common. This vehicle shudder issue occurred Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

Dealership not cooperating, fixed the wrong thing, engine still cuts out/stalls, now saying I "overfilled the gas tank, ruining the charcoal fuel canister. While driving in my town home community and slightly turning right while going up a slightly inclined road the vehicle begins to shake violently and it seems the transmission is locking up. Goes away either by removing all pressure on accelerator or if excessive accelerator pressure is applied. The type of accelerator pressure needed to stop the excessive shaking would bring the vehicle to a speed that is unsafe relative to observed speeds limits in community. Example 2. These exhibited symptoms have also occurred with an increasing frequency while driving on city roads in light to moderate traffic: when you are coasting up to slower moving traffic in front of you and then need to accelerate as that traffic increases speed, the car will shake violently. This occurs mostly at speeds under 30 -35 mph but has been felt at speeds as high as 55 mph. It feels as though the entire drive train of the vehicle is going to fall out of the car. Vehicle currently has 1200 miles on odometer and symptoms have been increasingly noticeable and frequent since 605 miles on odometer. Separate issue: navigation / audio system has frozen screen upon start up and becomes un responsive. No ability to change previous volume level of radio which may have been left at high volume level during previous drive. Input is not accepted on head unit or steering wheel controls. Navigation will not initiate. Car must be restarted for system to reboot and this may remedy the problem for one drive cycle or more. Has occured 5 or more times in first month of ownership. Should a catastrophic failure in the drive train occur, I feel that I am at risk of serious personal injury. Additionally I am concerned that resale value of vehicle will be diminished due to damage caused by inherent design flaw in power train and in-car electronics. It was Tuesday, April 15, 2014 when this vehicle shudder issue occurred.

The car was a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. There is a sudden juddering shake that lasts about 4 to 6 seconds driving around 25 miles per hour. I have experienced the shaking during turns and upon hills the transmission feels like driving a stickshift and you finally feel the gear kick in and the after making it uphill or stopping uphill. Vehicle drives smooth again. My girls are very scared with the shaking I have left my vehicle at the dealership pending a fix/solution. This vehicle shudder problem happened on Apr. 30, 2014.

Consumer has a 2001 Saturn Sl1. The contact stated that while driving 70 mph, he heard a loud noise and the vehicle started shaking excessively. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who informed the contact that the transmission valve body was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact was awaiting repairs. The current and the failure mileages were 132,000. . . . . Updated 12/03/12

The vehicle having this issue was a 2004 Saturn Ion. Approximately one week after I purchased the vehicle I noticed a grinding noise that was not favorable and I was pretty sure it was the tranny. I purchased an extended warranty with the car so I took it to the dealer for diagnostics and repair. It was confirmed to be the tranny and they tried to put a bandaide on it by flushing it and changing the fluids. One week later same noise only louder. They replaced the tranny. 30 days after the first repair; the noise returned, they replaced some parts, in the tranny they just put in it. Just over 12,0000 miles later I was attempting to back up and the car would not go in reverse. I had it towed and the tranny was again replaced, that was just under 12,0000 miles ago and the tranny is slipping again, only now the extended warranty people say I am out of funds because they will not repair a vehicle beyond it's worth. I have had the axle replaced twice and it needs to be done again, extended warranty again say's they are done paying out on this car even though my time or mileage is not expired on the warranty. About a month ago it failed to start and because I had read this web site on consumer complaints for this car I knew to wait 5-15 min and try again. This has happened several times but so far it eventually starts. I purchased this car on credit just over a year ago to get a reliable vehicle because I work 7 days a week out of my car and it is becoming a nightmare no-one will wake me up from. And because I am upside down on the loan I cannot even trade it in for something that is reliable. For the amount of complaints I have seen there should be some recourse to the consumer. I have had the tranny replaced twice and fixed twice, the axle has been done twice and need it again. Chevy bought this company out and should have to honor the standards for a safe vehicle or stop selling them to unsuspecting buyers. It was 07/26/2010 when this vehicle shudder issue occurred.

The vehicle identification number (VIN) of the car was 4S4BRCBC0A_. I purchased a 2010 Subaru Outback 2. 5i with a 6 speed manual transmission on may 2010. What has been happening is upon fully depressing the clutch to either slow the car down and/or bring the car to a coast the engine rpms drops rather rapidly which on several occasions has resulted in the vehicle borderline stalling before the engine computer compensates by increasing the idle slightly while coasting or slowing down with the clutch depressed. This is far more prevalent when the a/c is running. Today (sun 7/25) I was approaching a right turn, the a/c was running. I started the process of slowing down the car by fully depressing the clutch and braking. When I started to turn the steering wheel to enter the turn I barely could do so. The reason for this is the engine this time stalled. Generally you can hear the engine shudder before a stall, in this case it did not. It almost resulted in the vehicle hitting a pole with my two young children inside. The car restarted right away and I was able to resume normal operations. During the course of this same day on at least two more occasion I fully depressed the clutch to either slow the car or coast and the car shudder indicating a potential stall but the car compensated. This issue needs to be addressed ASAP because it will result in a serious accident. Thank you. This vehicle shudder problem happened on Jul. 25, 2010.

2010 Subaru Outback automatic,2. 5i, in first month of ownership noticed vehicle wanted to stall when I slowed down or stopped. Have had for 4 months vehicle is worse, rpm's drop to near zero, car will then idle fast to compensate. . . In the last month vehicle has a severe shudder, on top of the near stalling. . . Was told by dealer that Subaru has fixed problem on manuals but is still waiting for software for automatics to reflash computer. Car is very shaky after the near stalls upon acceleration. Car also accelerates when I have foot on brake and release to inch forward (waiting in traffic) as though it has a very fast idle. I was told by corporate headquarters today, that there is no problem with the automatics. . Just manuals???? my dealer disagrees and stated today that I am not the only person with this problem waiting for a solution. It was Friday, August 27, 2010 when this vehicle shudder issue happened.

2007 Suzuki Forenza accelerates extremely slowly when hot. Car shudders and will not gain rpms. Often will not accelerate out of stop lights. Engine light flashes during such episodes. Engine light stays on at all times. Will lose speed randomly while in traffic. After time, it will suddenly regain power, resulting in an abrupt lunge if accelerator is depressed. Vehicle code said problem was with the catalytic converter. Replaced cat, but it made no impact on the vehicle's performance. Was advised that the problem could be the shift range sensor. Have not yet repaired as I spent all of my repair money on the cat replacement. This problem occurred on Friday, Jul. 1, 2011.

The vehicle involved was a 2012 Toyota Tacoma. The VIN of the problem Tacoma is 5TFJX4GN0C_. I was approaching a stoplight at a downward angle and while applying the brake the vehicle began to shake violently. I was going approx. 15pmh when it started and it didn't stop shaking until I got down to about 5 miles per hour. I took it to the dealership that day and explained the problem to them. They got the vehicle to reproduce the vibrations and I have paperwork stating this. It has been a full year later and they haven't repaired it yet. They continually tell me parts are being designed. Just wait. That's all they keep saying. I found out that they made a fix for the v6 model within 7 months, but they didn't have enough complaints against the 4 cylinder model to warrant redesigning parts. I was told this by the service tech at the dealership. This vehicle shudder problem happened on April 11, 2013.

I have a 2012 Toyota Camry that I purchased new from the military car sales in ansbach, germany. I first experienced the problem in August 2012 when the car would shift it would shudder. At first I thought it to be a fuel problem but it was not. After a few months it got worse. I was in traffic driving off from a stop light and the car shuddered and did not gain speed and I was almost rear ended until I put the car in the "s" gear setting and manually downshifted toe 2nd for more power. That was the temporary solution while driving in the city. Winter days present more issues. I can't drive the car right now because its getting worse. My problem is that I have presented this problem to my dealer, their management, Toyota germany in my local area but no one can seem to figure out the funding issue for the 60/60 warranty (power train). I tried to get it settled before I hit the 60000 mile mark but I needed the car daily for work. I have since arranged for public transportation use and I have parked the car as of today for good. I was told it would cost me $6000 to repair. I have chased this since I took it to Toyota ramstein, germany for the initial look. They said they had no idea what the problem was and perhaps it was the trans mission which would cost at least 3500 euros which is about $6000. The issue almost caused me an accident in traffic twice! I found through the army air force exchange car care center. I took the car when I experienced more issues and the tech bulletin is the exact problem I am experiencing. It says in the bulletin that it is covered by the power train warranty 60 months or 60000 miles. I even produced the tech bulletin to the dealer and the mechanics! I have gone to the dealer but to no avail they are not able to help me. They tried but I have not heard from them in over a month. I need a car!!!. This vehicle shudder issue occurred 08/01/13.

The vehicle was a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta. There was crash involved with this problem. Been to multiple dealerships claiming in fox valley IL rockford IL glenview IL that either my mechunit is bad/faulty or dual mass flywheel is bad/faulty. Was driving where either my car would shift very rough as if someone who is very inexperienced would let go of the clutch late and shift hard/rough into 1-2-3 with clicking noises. Car just recently shifted from 2 to neutral and scared the crapout of me. The car has extreme vibration and uncontrolled shift patterns. Was turning onto my street and car went from 3-2 to neutral while my car was still in drive and went into a snow bank on side of road. Would just like to have Volkswagen contact me to either replace or fix this problem. This is very dangerous owners of a 2006 vw tdi or any automatic with dsg mechunit beware and please be careful. The car involved was a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle. First noticed it when starting it up in the morning. Rough and stalling when putting it in reverse. Never did that before. It has to warm up before I can drive it because it will either stall in reverse, or in drive the car will shudder and take off, it will not idle. When in park it is fine when in drive at stoplights it will surge forward. I have to either press the brake pedal as hard as I can and that doesn't always work,or put it in park or neutral!!!! that was the beginning of my troubles. It gradually over time stopped shifting either before it reaches 3rd gear or after. I only have 60,000 plus miles on it and it still should be in the powertrain warranty. That it is 2013 it is 12 years after I purchased it !! that's an average of 5,000 miles a year driving! and it still has a defective transmission!! I cannot believe there is no recall on this! they say it is the valve body that is the culprit! then vw better issue me a free replacement! I cannot believe I have to shell out my hard earned money for their screw up! if this valve body has done irreparable damage to my tranny they will have to replace the whole transmission as well! less than 65,000 miles and having a defective part they know about they have to honor that powertrain warranty! I will need safercar. Gov and or NHTSA help in this matter! sincerely, wayne r. Presley. This problem occurred on 08/09/2012.

The car involved is a 2014 BMW 328i. VIN of the vehicle was WBA3A5C50E_. I was merging onto the interstate and got into the passing lane. I then shifted from 3rd gear to 4th and the car started to shake and lose power (limp home mode). The display said drivetrain malfunction, drive moderately, etc. And the check engine lamp came on. I shifted to 5th gear to see if it would help and had the same low power issue. I then changed two lanes to get onto the shoulder. I turned the car off and waited briefly and restarted the car. The lamps were off and there was no issue. I phoned the dealership and they stated they get this type of call often and it is a 'normal glitch. ' I should drive it and see if it happens again as it usually doesn't or I could bring the car in. This vehicle shudder problem happened on Mon., Nov. 4, 2013.

VIN of the vehicle was 3G5DB03EX3_. Consumer owns a 2003 Buick Rendezvous. While making a right or left turn, the vehicle made a grinding noise. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact had to replace the front driver side tire. When the spare was placed on the vehicle, the all wheel drive system had to be disabled. Ironically, the noise stopped immediately afterwards. Once the repairs were made, the all wheel drive was reactivated and the noise returned. When attempting to stop the vehicle, she heard a dinging noise and the all wheel drive indicator light illuminated. The brakes failed and the contact drove off the road in order to stop the vehicle. The brakes locked, which caused the all wheel drive to engage. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that this was impossible. They stated that the two front all wheel drive sensors needed to be replaced and a code was received for the abs light. The contact stated that the abs light never illuminated. The current and failure mileages were 90,000. It was Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 when this vehicle shudder issue happened.

The car involved was a 2001 Jaguar S-type. When I bought the car a week later it blew hot air, I was told it only needed freon. I found out later that there was a leak and it is $1200. A week after that the car would not start the dealer picked the car up and said that the battery was dead because I left the radio on, it has happened over 30 times, not true there is something wrong. I have replaced tires at least six times. Tires completely separate. I was driving and car slowed down on freeway and I was almost hit, I pulled over and it stopped and did it again and I had to push the traction control button, almost cost me my life! it now happens when I hit a bump. When I turn the car makes a extremely loud noise, (embarrassing) I was told it is a ball joint and can catch on fire. Engine light has always been on and is now blinking and the car shakes and hesitates. I had to pay to get the brakes fixed 2 months after purchasing. Radio turns on for no reason and runs battery down. I was told I have two leaks in my shocks and it is $1800 each. When I back up and turn the steering wheel vibrates. I can't even use the cigarette lighter to charge my cell because it does not work and has been replaced twice. The remote just stop working and I was charged $100 to reconfigure. The brakes act funny, can't even explain it. This car is unreal, a complete piece of junk. I can't even remember half the stuff I have endured and the money I have spent.
