Hello, how are you? the traction control warning light stays on and the button cannot turn it off. The engine light stays on and there is a service prompt on the information scroll lcd screen. The cruise control switch lights up but the cruise does not engage when the set button is pressed at any speed, ie, 30mph, 50mph, 55mph etc. The research I read recommends to contact you to help get this vehicle included in an existing recall for the same issues in other gm vehicles with the same equipment. In other words, this vehicle has the same defective equipment as other gm vehicles that have been recalled for repair. Due to the fact that this vehicle has the same defective equipment that was recalled in other gm vehicles I request this vehicle be covered under the same recall and able to be repaired as soon as possible.

Our chevy Hhr 2010 has been dying and stalling out on us while we are driving it, the only time it had power going to it was when it was being jumped. Even then soon as the cables were unhooked it would jerk then die right away. It seemed as if most of the lights inside and outsided of the truck only would flash while jumping it, then nothing. It was also very difficult to turn the steering wheel, and everything basically seems like it's mailfunctioning. This has been on and off for a few weeks now but I dont know how to fix it, nor can I even start it at this point,but I definitely dont feel safe driving it the way it is right now being that it powers completely off whenever it wants to. It was in motion a few times on city streets, and in motion turning when it died for this last time. Its now parked on a street unable to drive it.

Power steering went out while driving, service esc code came on. Car has done this numerous times over the past year, I have replaced the steering column, the power steering motor, the car ran fine for weeks and today while driving down the road the service esc code came on and I lost power steering.

While driving the esc came on then it said service esc then the car cut off and wouldn't start everything just locked up while on the road.

While driving my 2010 chevy Hhr, I had just exited the highway and was entering the speedway fuel station, my steering just seemed to lockup on me and a dash alert flashed "service esc" then I suddenly lost all power! in order to avoid any major tragedy like colliding with a gas pump or another vehicle, I was able to run it into the curb I felt like my arms were nearly ripped from the sockets. After having it towed to my home and the following day towed to a mechanic. Discovered that the experience was not exclusively mine, apparently some 444 others had as well. I checked for recall notices was told that the recalls were closed and repairs were done. I would like to know by whom, when and where exactly! it obviously was not done permanently nor satisfactorily as I'm very sore now, but could have been killed!.

I tried to used remote start from my fob. It worked the first time but nothing after that. . Stationary these were the events that followed: all at the same time lost power steering (power steering assist) landed me in the hospital with torn chest muscle while car was moving on a interstate no a/c (compressor does not come on) stationary service airbag light came on while car was moving on the interstate service tire monitors stationery no temp reading stationary.

Power steering failure while moving down road.

The power steering went out making it unable to control the vehicle my 18 year old son was driving and could not steer or control the vehicle causing him to wreck and dented the car up and busted the oil pan locking the motor up just by luck he was not injured we had to have it towed home and it has sat here cause I can't afford a new motor I am very upset with this whole ordeal I've been out a lot of money and have no vehicle now plus my son was very traumatized over the whole matter I truly loved this car now it's just wasting away and I'm out a lot of moneynot to mention had problems with the windows rolling up and down and the stereo just quit working and the batteries I put in it kept going dead I'm truly upset over this ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.

2009 chevy Hhr had problems with stick gear stuck and will not move on position to dr or rev for several minutes. Car has been hesitating and racing to then jerks like I'm being hit. Happens everyone I press on the gas . I took it into bauchman Chevrolet to have serviced and was told it was fixed 2 weeks later it is doing it again. It almost caused a rear end due to hesitation. I need to get this fixed by dealership. Others have reported same issues .

My 2009 Hhr has a problem with the shift gear sticking and not releasing to put it in drive or reverse also I bet problems where the car is revving up while driving and then jerks like someone is hitting it from behind I took it into bachman Chevrolet to have it fixed and they said it was fixed it is now doing the same problem again I'm afraid I'm going to be hit while driving when it starts jerking and hesitating and the engine is revving while in drive not sure what is going on while I'm driving.

For the past few months I noticed my power steering, cruise control being cut off and jerking with my car. But up til the beginning of August my car wouldn't start, it would crank but not start. Come August 18th my car compllife roy won't start. There was a recall on my vehicle and the previous owner took in the car for the recall but now it's acting up again. Multiple time where I loose control of my car and or the car would slow down to the point it felt like I was stopping then it would jerk. I thought the dealership could fix this but they can not, gm, rigth way and etc are not helping. I'm terrified my car won't work and also it'll be dangerous to drive.

For the last month my electrical system has been going haywire, all of a sudden all my gauges start fluctuating and all service indicator lights will come on and after the car is off for a while all warning lights will go off. This morning on my way to work my security lock and esc warning lights came on and when I stop and start to go again the car feels like it is getting hit from behind. My two rear windows no longer work, front passenger door will not unlock automatically and driver door handle is broken. I have seen a lot of electrical issues on this site, yet there have been no recalls. What is going on??.

Car when stopping began to run rough. After engine light came on. Went off day later. Had oil changed then the abs track light and brake light came on. Messages: service tracking and esc. Had diagnosed . No one so far has been able to figure out problem. Code co550 was read but no specific problem code shows up. There is no end to expense to correctly diagnose problem. Gm has on line similar problems with malibu and equinox. But not 2009 Hhr. They should be able to assist fixing this problem. If car no fixed will not pass inspection. It could cost upwards of 800 dollars before it can be figured out. Gm shoud know the problem cause and help out. This car was made in mexico. Could this be the problem?.

It happens when the car is idling at a stop light or wherever it also happens when I'm driving. It gets a surge of power and starts running ruff. The car shakes all the lights on the dash come on, service esc, service traction, esc off, eng power reduced. At this point there is no power. I find a safe place to pull over and shut the engine off, wait a few minutes and restart the engine then it's fine again except the engine symbol stays on. The chevy dealer hooked it to the computer and said it's misfiring on all four cyclinders, but they said they don't know what the problem is.

I was driving down the interstate at about 70 mph, when I began to get the messages service esc esc off, traction control of, engine reduced power and not to mention all my lights lit up like a christmas tree. Also when all of this started to happen my vehicle jerks reduced speed drastically and was shaking vigorously I hurry up and exited the interstate and turned off my vehicle I waited a few minutes and the vehicle started right up 3 miles or so down the road the exact same thing happened only this time I was turning unto a busy intersection and I was left stranded in the middle of the street because the car would not budge I had to end up getting it towed. This is something that it's very dangerous and if I would have had my kids with me I wouldn't be as calm as I am now. I am livid and outraged as to why this has not been recalled. How many complaints does it take until this type of situation gets addressed the way it needs to? now haven't spent over $600 my problem still exists but only now my vehicle is inoperable and parked. Please someone give us answers the correct answers the answers we've all been searching for and do the right thing.

We was going down he road it just switched off I couldn't turn the steering wheel and I had to stand on the breakes. I could have seriously hurt someone or my self if not worse and I hit a curve hard.

First my airbag system started coming on saying service airbags and the sensors are all new, second the service esc comes on intermittently causing vehicle to shift extremely hard from 1st gear (automatic tranny) braking system was working fine and all of a sudden the brake pedal goes to the floor no brakes and the fluid is full and the system was working just fine after making gm aware of this their response to it all is the vehicle is out of warranty and there is nothing they can do but this was an issue from date of mfg and gm refuses to fix or correct the ongoing issues all of these things have happened on city streets and highways if NHTSA cant help with this issue then I have no where left to turn except either to a morgue or a scrap yard.

The car was purchased in January 2016 & was gave to me via my grandpas will after he passed away in July 2016. The car never ran correctly & it was parked for a total of 9 months, while getting worked on in the meantime. Ive put almost 1000 into this car & replaced every part it needed. Now the car wont start & shows the air bag icon is always on while the car tells me that my ecs is "off" & service ecs. I own the vehicle & it is paid off.

While driving 25 miles an hour on dry flat pavement my esc active light came on. I had a very hard time steering and the brakes were applying themselves. I was difficult to control. I was in rush hour traffic in the middle lane with no where to pull over. I am lucky I did not hit anyone. After 5 minutes or so it went off.

The service ecs does not go off. Theirfor the car will not go unless the roads are completely free of snow and ice. The car just sits and spins. Traction control light on constantly . Can not drive car in winter months.

The contact stated that the failure occurred when making a sharp turn or when traveling above 20 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The independent mechanic was unable to repair the vehicle due to not having the equipment to properly repair the vehicle. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to an authorized dealer to have the vehicle repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 206,000.

I am experiencing intermittent problems with the gauges and power steering as well as warning lights coming on and loss of communications to the d. L. C. Connector. It may happen at any time anywhere.

Esc is what it said on the dash. It sounded as if something had crawled and was keeping the vehicle from moving properly I looked up what the meaning of the message on the dash and it said traction control warning which I had no clue but when I pulled over walking around the car nothing seemed to be wrong the entire car was shaking it was a scary experience and the cars had to go around me. When I re-started the car the message went off and the car moved as if nothing happened.

While driving my car on the city streets the doors suddenly unlock the lights flicker off and back on and the car jerks and then the car does the same thing and locks the doors again and then unlocks the doors again with the headlights going out again and back on again just as quickly. It does this over and over again while driving to work or to run to the store or where ever. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer and they cannot tell me what the problem is. No codes are showing what the problem is. I have had it to three different garages and no one can seem to tell me what the problem is. The last dealer told me that I would have to leave the car there and every time they got into the car to drive it to see if it would do it again for them it would cost me right around $130. 00 each time. I can't afford that. I asked them if it could be the ignition and they said no. I did have the recall done on the ignition switch but after reading many of these complaints it makes me think that maybe it has not been corrected. Help.

After power steering motor was replaced when reaching speeds of 20mi per hour whole front end shakes feels like wheels locking up car was moving.

2006 chevy Hhr is having electrical issues. The eps was replaced and now when I am drive the insrument panel needles move back and forth, power steering and other indicators light up and car cuts off. Had several tune-ups and the problem is happening.

Changed vvt sensor & service esc & service traction warnings appeared on display. Check engine light remains on also.

When I buhgt this vehicle it was the left side shocked solver was loss unscrewed locky me I found the before anything happened in the hwy then I found unther the vehicle a big bump like this car was in a crash accident I explains the dealer sales man and he toll me to he don't know a bought it then one wheel was more big than the other wheels so I bought another tire I then start search the information on this car with no success even car max is no record of the vehicle I the continued driving the car and I find out this car was a car crash vehicle because I notice driver side was panel fix and for more to know this car is unsafely to drive when you go more that 50" miles in a rain the car easy derail and locky I be have not vehicle in my side it happen to me three time I call the dealership and ask to change me this vehicle is to danger to drive and there respond was sale the car and buy me another one that tell me the unresponsive they are no care if another family buy the car and then they can have a accident and even kill them salfe I toll him I can not sale a vehicle that is unsafe to any one so that's way I reported to you guys to put a stop to this dealer because I notice they have a big junk yard in the back of the dealership and that tell me that they fix junk cars and resales with unsafety esue and they need to be inspected to see they not risk family's out there and I want my money back and my expencess I put to this junk.

Approx : March 2016 - - 48000 miles, my cruise control system stopped functioning completely ,when turned on. Indicator light still works, researching I've found a simple burnt out brake light bulb may be the cause for this defective unrelated failure. Either way I'm not seeing any error messages or warnings alerting me to what problems I might really have so that they can be addressed. If there isn't a recall yet , maybe an investigation is in order. Tia, l-t-g.

While driving this vehicle, the power steering light flashes on dash board and I lose all the function of the power steering. It has now happened 4 separate times in two weeks, the last when I was turning a corner and nearly hit a car on the side of the road because I could not steer the vehicle. I have a safety recall letter from general motors stating that I had to pay out of pocket to fix and then they would determine if it fell under there recall. When the letter states to bring it to the dealership should the power steering light ever comes on the dash panel, which it has done know 4 times when the power steering failed. I could been killed if I had been going faster or killed some one. This is an issue with the gm faulty mechanics. First it was the ignition having to give my vehicle up for nearly 6 weeks to have it fixed. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by general motors and paid for by general motors, not the consumer. What is it going to take, another death because of the mistakes. Even after they notified me that is a safety issue via letter, but I first pay out of pocket and then determine if they will reimburse me for it. The first time I was in downtown la going to work and once again when I turned left while driving, the second on the 405 in rush hour traffic, just as I was accelerating and changing lanes, the light flashed on the dash board (power steering) and I lost all power steering capability. The third was the week of February 15, 2016. Turning left again and the fourth time just yesterday again when I turned left.
