Turn Signal problem #3
The car involved was a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu. I own a 2001 chevy Malibu LS 6 cyl. This year has 670,000+ cars recalled for the exact same problem I am having and the exact same year. Yet because my VIN isnt included or enough people with my VIN have not reported the problem. . I am discluded from having them fix this for me. My turn signals are not working, they will not flash, click or go on as of recently. This is a safety hazard that gm did recall for my car year and type, yet I am discluded because of my VIN, so my life. . Does not matter? because. . . Maybe only a few hundred have had the same problem? this is a known recall with my type of car, and I am in danger here. . . I called gm 2 times 8/8/2011 I was told there was nothing they could do for me, simply because of my VIN. . . Ummmmm how about include my VIN!!! my life matters just as much as anothe others and if I am having this problem and reporting it, then include the VIN. . For the safety of others as well!!! half a million Malibus from 2001 were affected by this recall. . . What makes them think mine wasnt?! please help. . I am a college student and I am driving a car with no turn signals and I have to pay for text books and now dealing with a safety hazard because gm does not want to recognize the recall. The VIN of this Malibu is 1G1ND52J71_. For the last three months the turn signals on my 2001 Chevrolet Malibu have worked intermitently. On several occasions I had to miss making a turn due to someone tailgating me and my turn signal not working. I didn't want to risk getting rear ended. I was told by the service department at the Chevrolet dealership that it probably was the hazard switch which I had replaced. Why isn't the replacement of this switch not covered by a recall. I requested the defective switch from the dealer and I have it in case gm wants it. This turn signal problem happened on Friday, August 8, 2003.
Turn Signal problem #10
The car involved is a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu. I purchased this vechile and within a month of the date of purchase the turn signals began to work intermittently. They continue to work intermittently and sometimes suddenly begin working once they have been turned on and make a loud noise, sounding a warning noise which does not go away until you turn the signal off. I would say that my turn signals only work 25% of the time and would like to get a resolution/recall as this appears to be a common problem that should be corrected by the manufacturer at their cost. It was Sun., Nov. 24, 2002 when this turn signal issue occurred.
