I was backing up and changed my gears into drive, turn the steering wheel and foot still on the brake, car just jerked and took off and I ended up hitting somebodys van. When I tried to hit the brake all the car did was sped up so right before I went out in the driveway uncontrollably, I had to pull up the park brake just to stop.

I went inside a car wash and when my car was been wash the water was getting inside from the back roof next to the back window I told the dealer but they want me to pay for a diagnostic when it has something to do with the car issue. My water pump is not working can not use it in case of an emergency on the road can not clean it using my windshield wipers.
Vehicle was in motion driving on a city street while I was making a left turn onto another city street my steering wheel locked up which enabled me to straighten up my wheel. Due to not being able to straighten up my wheel after steering left I was involved in a car accident knocking off my drivers sides headlight and front bumper completely off of my vehicle. After getting the car back home the car would no longer start. The vehicle is now at capitol cheverolet in austin texas and before replacing the recall parts they insisted on a battery replacement I did replace the battery and 3 days later they call and insist on an alternator replacement that will cost me $800 in order for them to start on the replacement/ repairs of the recalls. The battery and alternator all were working in good condition before the power steering issue came about while my vehicle was in motion. I should not be reliable of paying for this. The dealership is also charging me a $65 towing fee!.

We had a down pour 05/20/2018 in kissimmee, florida. My vehicle had stand still water in my trunk, the water seeped through to the interior damaging the rear seats, water covered the floor, there are stains on the roof and the smell of aged water is throughout the entire vehicle. My vehicle was parked and unoccupied, the trunk was closed and the windows were up as normal as my vehicle was parked for the night.
The passenger door of my vehicle will not open. The automatic lock appears to be working but I cannot open the door. This also happened to the drivers side door a few times but thankfully I was able to use the actual key from the outside to open it. I have read reviews where this is common in this vehicle. This is an extreme safety hazard and I cannot even get the door fixed because it wont open. Please consider making this a manufacfurer recall.

At random occasions, the front door latches will not work. Last November, the front passenger door did not open even after attempting to open it manually and using the power door lock switch. This morning, I had two issues with the driver door. First, it would not shut until after I used the button to manually lock the door ("used" meaning I pulled it up and pushed it down several times in quick succession). Then, after I parked my car, the driver door would not open until after pushing the button up and down several times, using the remote a couple times, rolling the window up and down, and pushing the button up and down again. I wonder if humidity and/or moisture may be affecting the doors' ability to function, as it had rained and/or snowed on both occasions; however, the weather has not affected the doors on other cars I have used to such an extent. The issue with doors not opening/shutting as expected has been documented by other 2008-12 Malibu owners on various websites and should be investigated immediately.
Back window is leaking water into the interior and inside the headliner. Noticed after heavy rains as well as when using the car wash.
The 3rd break light (above rear windsheild) is leaking into my vehicle and trunk. This is a hazard for electrical failure to the break light, as well as the growth of mold and or rust in the vehicle as well as the trunk and spare tire. During rain the passengers become soaked with water.
Check engine light came on said reduced engine power. Also water was leaking into the car from rear brake light.
Tatata recall car fills with water, trunk and floor boards.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. While driving various speeds, a squeaking noise was heard coming from the rear of the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to lou bachrodt Chevrolet pompano beach (1801 w atlantic blvd, pompano beach, FL 33069, 954-590-0196) where the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure recurred several times and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer. The technician took the rear end apart and lubricated the parts, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact back to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.
Front passenger door cannot be opened from outside or inside. Had to climb over seat to get out of the back door. Car was in a parking lot.

The car was parked and off in our driveway for 15 minutes -horn started went out saw smoke called 911 and by the time back at front door flames from front end. Fire department came and put out fire -car totaled. Worried about spontaneous combustion especially if car parked in garage or closer to house or if people inside.
Blind side. . Not easy to locate vehicles on either side. And impossible to see child in rear with rear view camera.
I am having difficulty with the latches on my doors. It started with my passenger front door. I would close the door and it would pop open a little and wouldn't close. After a few tries it closed but this would intermittently happen from time to time. Eventually it closed permanently and now will not open at all. It is a safety hazzard that the door cannot be opened. This is now beginning to happen with the driver side front door, where when I close it and it won't stay closed, I have to hold it while driving on occasion. Then it will shut and work and then it will happen again. It is a safety hazard to have to drive and hold the door closed and I cannot imagine having two front doors that won't open. This really has to be addressed immediately.
My vechical was in motion driving thru an entrance to an arby's restaurant . I herd a loud noise n felt like my vechical was dragging with a pulling motion. When I stepped out I walked around to the front n my bumper was completely pushed in and folded into an inwards position. I pulled with my hand from the bottom of the bumper and pulled it out almost in its original position besides some of the plastic peices n fascia being cracked. Well upon further looking at it what had happened was the plate or cover as u will that is supposed to protect underneath the engine and radiator portion of the vechical came detactched from the most inward position of the vechical( the point closest to the center of the car) hit the ground n folded under neath my car smashing in the lower part of my bumper. Once I looked under their this piece is actually connected to the bumper in one piece when it should be detached. This vechical is a very bad design and is extremely low to the ground and what makes this bad is this piece is connected directly to the bumper which was almost completely ripped out in the process. Currently I have this end piece zipped tied to my frame at the point of which it became detached. I approached the dealer about this issue n they laughed at me like I did this when clearly it was from the cover or plate that sits below the engine. This part is a 79 dollar part but they want me to replace the whole fascia n bumper which they quoted at around 1500 dollar. Now if my bottom front hits any driveway or entrance way cause of the two low of a design this part can come detached from the frame and rip my bumper right off causing a major accident or saftey situation. Ty! for letting me voice my concern not sure u can do anything about it. Being knowledgeable about cars which I'm guessing u r it's the piece directly under my engine n I attached directly to the bumper.
Noticed mildew smell in trunk of vehicle and apparent water marks on bulkhead on inside of trunk. Carpet also wet, especially towards front of trunk compartment. First started noticing issues below 5000 miles.
3 of the 4 door actuators are failing. This is a huge safety issue as I drive with a 2-year old and cannot open the rear doors in the event of an emergency without extreme hardship in reaching the manual rear door pegs near back of each door. This is a huge complaint on the internet and all are referencing the safety aspects of it which the ntsb is doing nothing and gm is offering to replace at full cost saying until the ntsb pushes a recall that this will rest on the shoulders of the consumer. .
