Failure Date: 10/14/2004

The brake light lense cover melted. The owner took the vehicle back to the dealer and they told the owner that there was no problem. The dealer said that the consumer may be keeping his foot on the brake too long. Provide further details. The consumer was told that the entire light fixture needed to be replaced.

Failure Date: 05/29/2004

Exterior brake light lens, located over the back window of the cab, was noticed to have melted. Lens was melted inward toward the two light bulbs. One bulb was not working, having cracked, the other bulb was still working. The lens was melted so that two holes were completely through the thick plastic and the plastic had dripped onto the bulbs and fixture. The lens has been removed and I am attempting to contact a dealer to check electrical circuit and proper voltage generated at the light fixture. The lens and bulbs will need to be replaced.

Failure Date: 03/02/2001

Rear brake light burned out. Replaced and new one burned out within 1 week. Replaced and again it burned out. Went to dealer, and was charged >$30 to replace the bulb. Then it burned out and I took it back and they replaced a part, and didn't charge me for the labor because of the $30. Bulb still burned out. Didn't replace for over a year and then I replaced it and it burned out. Just recently replaced it again and it has been working for about 4 months.
