Paint is peeling of the bumper of truck. Dealership states all that be done is a paint touch up. Dealership states this is an on going problem. Vehicle has not had any damage warranting peeling paint.

The paint on the top cab is peeling and the door locks stick all the time.

This picture represents some of the paint loss on the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab. I bought this vehicle brand new and have never been in the snow. There's no way that a vehicle should have paint peeling or have exposed metal.

Paint is chipping on hood and doors a new chip every few days paint is so thin you can almost see the primer every time I wash it there is a new place where the ai t is coming off.

Paint started bubbling and cracking off. It is very obvious that the paint did not adhere to the primer. I have 32000 miles. Mostly drive on the weekends because I work across the street from my house. I do not do any off-road driving. There is no reason for the paint to peel.

It started as a small bubbles in the paint on the roof right above the windshield before the sunroof. 2 bubbles cracked and driving down the road it took paint off the roof. It looks like someone were to just peel it all off. There are no chips no dings or anything it's peeling off paint everyday and I look online and there are hundreds of others saying the same thing and it's ridiculous 40k truck and the paint is peeling off like there wasn't anything there. All the primer is still there just paint is peeling off badly. I'm very unpleased by gm and the dealerships saying it's out of warranty and can't help with this. Gm knows there is a paint issue with these vehicles but won't do anything to help customers. I only have taken one picture so far will have more to come. I also have other people complaining as well about paint even on 2017 trucks this is ridiculous and we have to do something about this issue.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While the contact's husband was washing the vehicle, he noticed the paint was chipping near the front driver's door and hood. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The dealer (bill macintyre Chevrolet Buick, 10 e walnut st, lock haven, PA 17745, (866) 608-5724) was contacted and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall and the extended warranties had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to call NHTSA and file a complaint. The failure mileage was 67,000.

My truck is just over a year olfd. Has had 4 recalls on the braking system alone. One for excessive brake pad wear. The rear fenders have outward dents on them causing the paint to chip away. Dealership replaced drivers side, waiting to do passenger side. Rear spoiler was leaking and flooded the back seat of the truck was repaired. Front passenger window became inoperable, ( repaired) rear dome light not working correctly ( not repaired) as noted on the vehicle history it had a hard shift out of park. A year later still does. When there is multiple recalls and reprogramming of braking systems I do not feel safe driving with my self in the car let alone my kids or my wife. I live in a very mountain area . I am scared to death to pull my boat or trailers down the mountains in fear of the brakes that have been worked on so many times in a year actually work . . I can see one or maybe two times but not 5 or 6.

The paint is peeling/flaking off.

Paint started peeling on the a pillar driver side and is now peeling on passenger side same place. Also driver side rear window corner peeling as well as passenger side rear window corner paint peeling same place. Paint is now starting to peel above the rear door on the roof as well. I spoke to chevy dealer as well as customer service and the bbb all said out of warranty even though it is a manufacture defect and the discovery rule should apply as there was no way for me to know the paint was defective within the warranty period.

The contact called and sent a photo to gary russ Chevrolet 1420 SC-72, greenwood, SC 29649 (864) 538-4260 but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted who stated that vehicle was not covered under the warranty. The failure mileage was 100,000. Ap.

The paint on this truck has begun to peel in a couple spots. Gm isn't willing to fully cover this as they say it is out of warranty. A 4 year old vehicle shouldn't have paint issues like this, especially when it is a common occurrence with this model year.

Paint is pealing off doors, roof, hood, etc.

My paint it flaking/peeling around my wheel wells and the dealer says they cant fix it. The paint just keeps peeling and peeling I have three spots and they keep getting bigger to the point they are rusting. The problem is the paint isn't sticking to the metal/primer very cheap paint.

Paint on my 2014 chevy silverado bubbling and peeling off.

Paint is constantly chipping.

Paint is chipping and peeling along upper windshield. There have been no rocks or hail or any other reason for this to happen. A flake came off one day and as time went by I began to notice more areas. Upon a google search of chevy forums I find that this is not an uncommon issue, right down to the specific year/make/model and area of damage.

The paint on my truck is pealing off. I filed a complaint with Chevrolet and they investigated the problem. Chevrolet determined that it was a factory defect but since the truck had 69000 miles on it and was out of the factory warranty they would not fix the paint. I feel since it was determined a factory defect they should pay for the repairs.

This is the worst paint job I have ever had on a vehicle. We bought this truck brand new from paso robles Chevrolet on September 8, 2014. By summer of 2018, the paint had started peeling off the rear passenger door. The dealership told me this is a known issue with this year of Chevrolets. Chevrolet and the dealership refused to help. This year I took the truck in to get the doors painted which cost me $2,500. While at the body shop, they discovered three more places that the paint is chipping and peeling off. I put in another case with Chevrolet and they denied any assistance.

Paint has peeled off above the windshield, paint looks very thin and brittle. Dashboard has two cracks near the passenger airbag. I am worried that if the airbag every went off the piece of plastic will be shot off and be a piece of shrapnel in an accident.

Paint peeling, the vehicle has never been off road. Peeling around the doors but gm wont fix it and now its out of warranty.

The paint is peeling on the right front passenger door on the lower part near the front of the door. This truck has never been in an accident or had any type of work done to the paint.

2017 silverado paint chipping really easy around wheel wells. I have 8000 miles on the truck and probably have around 50 or more chips down to the primer. Contacted Chevrolet they will not warranty paint chips. I have owned a 1999, 2007 and 2013 Chevrolet silverado and never had this issue. I have also taken notice to other trucks years 2014 to 2018 having same issues some have no paint left at all vehicle maybe get driven on gravel about 500 miles a year really disappointed in the paint quality.

I bought this 2018 silverado brand new 20 miles on it I had problems since the first day I drove out of the dealership truck has loud noise inside the cabin coming fryghe doors 6 months after the gauges are not reading accurately took back to the dealership and they kept for a month they fix the gauges bug the noise still happening worst truck ever for 40 k I own a 2004 and the inside is really quiet also the paint is chipping the dealership says it's cause the driving conditions I would understand if it was in the front of the truck but paint is chipping in the side and back of the truck I did my research and look on youtube and there's a lot of people complaining about this Chevrolet should really look into this before we all go and trade it in for a Ford I have pictures of this I'll try to post it if I can look at the gauges even when the truck is off.

Paint has continued to chip off the body of the vehicle in large sections. The body shops have commented that they have seen numerous issues involving Chevrolet paint. Chevrolet knows the primer under the paint is defective. Chevrolet has not done anything to correct this issue.

I have a 2017 silverado with 12,000 miles on it. East city driving and have hundreds of paint chips all over the vehicle. Gm says it's excessive but that paint chips are not covered u see warranty and is due to my driving conditions. There are other with same complaint online. Gm is ignoring their paint issue. They say epa regulations say they can't put on a good paint and clear coat and this is how their paint will be from now on.

After taking a 780 mile round trip to missouri from texas, when filling up I noticed that the paint had peeled off in large chunks at the hood and roof. Has several small areas that the paint is chipping. It looks as if the paint will not adhere to the body anymore.
