Transfer Case problems of the 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe
Three problems linked to transfer case have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Transfer Case problem #1
The car is a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe. The VIN of this Tahoe is 1GNEK13R8X_. Transfer case for the 4x4. This was the most expensive item to repair. Gm needs to get a grip on all problems wrong with this Tahoe. Grinding noise when engaging the 4x4 you thought the bottom of the SUV was to drop out. Also the knocking in the axle when you start from a stop. This transfer case issue occurred August 6, 2004.
Transfer Case problem #2
The car was a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe. Windshield wipers, junk, transmission junk,transfer case junk and rear end junk. Had the exact same problems with 1997 4x4 suburban, know many people having same problems now. There should be some type of recall or service bulletin. These problems have existed for years. May start buying foreign at least they stand by what they build. Must we wait until people are injured. This transfer case problem happened on Sunday, May 16, 2004.
Transfer Case problem #3
The vehicle is a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe. The VIN of this vehicle is 1GNEK13R6X_. Defective transfer casing / drive train causing sudden inability to drive vehicle. No ability to check transfer casing oil without going under vehicle for inspection. It was Jun. 11, 2007 when this transfer case issue happened.
