Headlights problems of the 2005 Chrysler 300

While driving down the road the front headlights begin to flicker. I tried turning them on and off but the problem still occurred making it very dangerous to drive.

The vehicle's headlights, dash, and interior lights would flicker, sometimes they would just shut off without warning. Cold start, idling, accelerating, and while braking. There is a TSB (18-003-05) detailing this issue. This is obviously a safety related issue and repairs should be handled by the manufacturer.

My headlights flickers on and off. This hazard almost caused me to have a serious accident. The lights goes from dim to off at any moment while I'm driving or if my car is standing still. Also, my signal lights began flashing out of control. Sometimes other drivers can see that I' signaling to turn and sometimes they can't. I've been told that my lights are fine. Evidently, this is one of Chrysler's defects. In addition, I've trouble with my front end wheels on my car. I've had to get the bearing that keeps your car going straight while driving replaced.

The headlights and interior lights flicker on and off while im driving my 2005 Chrysler 300. . This is a very serious and dangerous issue especially while driving at night. Not only do people get annoyed thinking im flashing my lights at them, it can cause a serious accident. . There needs to be a recall made on this issue and I see im not the only one with the same problem. .

Headlights turn on and off by themselves while driving. At night sometimes they will go on and off and sometimes they will stay off. This is a very dangerous safety issue and the cars should be recalled. The car has never been in an accident or flood but has developed this electrical problem. Possible problem with a relay or body module. Dealer has no clue as why headlights are doing this.

While driving my 300, all the dash board lights will come on and the gauges will go all the way up, then back down. Almost as if I were just starting the vehicle. All will go back to normal quickly and my car never looses power. This may happen 10-15 times in 5 minutes. Now, the headlights will come on by themselves and go off several times. I can't drive my vehicle at night as I don't want the lights to go out on me. I feel sorry for the people in front of me as my car keeps turning the lights on and off. This is a serious safety issue. I have already read about several of the same problems and Chrysler isn't worried about their customers safety or looking into this issue. This should have been a recall as many complaints and issues there are out there. I would like to see Chrysler step up and take some responsibility for their product. After talking to the service manager at the dealership, he said that it could be the power distribution in the truck. It is a very expensive part to replace for a could be problem. It can't been tested as the problem happens so fast, they wouldn't be able to hook it up to the machine to read the problem. Having 4 daimler Chrysler vehicles, I would like to think that they would take care of their long time customers and look into the issue. This is a major safety issue and I would like to see a recall.

Headlights go off and on randomly and blink frequently includes interior lights. Very dangerous at night. No headlights then they come back on.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing on two separate occasions, but the technician was unable to determine the cause of the failure. Recently, the headlights failed to operate when activated at night. The vehicle has not been repaired. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 15,000 and current mileage was 20,715.

Headlights will intermittently malfunction while driving. Sometimes one headlight will go out, sometimes both will go out. The dealer is telling me that the headlight assembly needs to be replaced for both lights. Many other owners with the hid headlight option are experiencing the same issue. Randomly losing headlights is definitely dangerous!.

Almost 10 months ago, I was driving in the evening with my headlights on when someone stopped me and told me one headlight was off. The headlight was turning off and on but would not go out completely so I figured it was just loose. Then the headlights were taking turns shutting off and on and at times shutting off completely. This is very dangerous so I avoid going out at night. When I could get the time off from work I scheduled an appointment with the Chrysler dealer and they said it was the right headlight modular and it would be approx. $900+ dollars to fix. I cannot afford this. Dealer said to check with Chrysler because it looks like a defect and they may have had a recall in the past. I am not the original owner and did not know if the original owner had this problem. I have only had the car for about 2 years. Please help me.

Chrysler 300 c right front hid malfunction while driving, Chrysler has not been able to fix after 3 tries. Light keeps going off and on.
