Chrysler Sebring owners have reported 5 problems related to brake light on (under the service brakes category).
Multiple stalling since approx 2 to 3 yrs ago , have taken to dealership and have found no problem. Brake lights turns on when at a stop or a red light, have taken it in , dealership has found no problem. Car has stopped at red lights and stop signs even once when turned at a corner. Not safe driving a car with such a dangerous problem. Car needs to be recalled .

I had no brake lights and the seat belt indicator light kept dinging as well as the tire low indicator. It was all because of the total intergrated power module. It was on back order for five weeks. It cost 750. 00 for just the part. I feel Chrysler doesn't recall these even after 1000s of complaints because it is to costly. They are making money on the part alone. I will never buy another Chrysler over them not doing the right thing. I could've been rear ended over this. It cost me 995 just to get the tipm put in. I still haven't fixed the seat belt dinging or the low tire dinging yet. Hate to see how much that will cost. Somebody needs to make Chrysler do the right thing and issue a recall. Safety before anything.

My brake lights go on for no reason while driving the normal speed limit. It will go off after I turn off the vehicle but then again appear at different times the dealer has said nothing is wrong with the fluids nor brakes and cannot figure out why the brake light keeps appearing.
I purchased a new 2007 Chrysler Sebring from a local dealership on may 30, 2007. On July 25, 2007 I was driving my vehicle and it was shaking when I applied my brakes. I immediately returned the car to my dealership and they had to resurface both rotors and resurfaced both rear drums. The mileage was 4108. In November 15, 2007 I returned my vehicle to the dealership due to brake light coming on when coming down any hill. Vibration was also noted at this time. Dealer checked and stated they could not find a problem. On March 24, 2008 I was coming off a hill from my job site when my brake light came on the car was making a grinding sound and I was unable to stop at the light in the intersection due to brake failure. The dealership did a road test and advised that the brakes were pulsating when hot. Pulled brakes and had to replace brake pads and rotors due to deterioration. On June 9, 2008 while driving the interstate my car began to shake when I would apply the brakes. While exiting from the freeway I was unable to stop at the intersection. The brakes were making a grinding sound and did not allow me to stop at the stop sign in the intersection. Once again I had no brakes. I returned the car to my dealership immediately and they checked the brakes. They advised me that they needed to resurface the rotors that were replaced by them in March 2008. This vehicle is a safety hazard and I fear that myself or my children are going to be involved in an accident where we will either be seriously injured or killed. My son who is disabled would have difficulty surviving any type of impact crash.
The abs brake light came on. Dealer states defect within the relay. Driving over bumps would make a loud noise, vehicle was pulling to the left, minor work was done. Also, calipers were defective, parts ordered, vehicle problems still exists.
