When car bought shared driver interior door handle loose. Took back in for warranty repair. Months later power window buttons are falling through same door handle, rendering window inoperable. Upon me taking it apart to see if I could fix, found the plastic stems that interlock power window buttons to the handle, are disentagrating. That when I took in for above mentioned warranty work, all that was done, they glued handled to upolstry. The rear window driver side has now also bedome inoperable due to same disentegaration. This is a safety issue in the event of an accident and/or fire and unable to open door to escape one would become trapped unable to lower a window to get out.

My 2000 Sebring convertible top is falling apart - not from wear and tear, but from a defect in the seams and glue used to attach the back window. I contacted a local dealer and called Chrysler and was told the top is not covered. I am worried that the window will eventually fall out completely and be a driving hazzard to me and others on the road.
The thredding around my 1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible top is slowly coming loose wich will then release my back window which could cause a very serious accident on the road involving innocent drivers. The potential loose back window could not only fly out at any givin moment it also could fall in to the backseat of my convertible which raises and bigger concern for me because I have my 2 year old son in his car seat. My wish is that Chrysler corp. Would recall these defective tops before they have to spend millions on law suits involving accidents with each individual owner of the Sebring convertible. Well, I thought I was alone on this issue until last week when my local news station aired a short news clip on Chrysler owners. They put out a call to all Chrysler Sebring owners in the tampa bay area (florida) that was having this same problem . . . They received over 100 complaints. . . Read more...
