This investigation was opened on May. 23, 2010. It was closed on Jul. 18, 2011. The investigated concern involved chrome plating on interior door handles that could peel or separate from the plastic base material. This DE-lamination could result in a sharp edge and pose a risk of laceration. In some cases, consumers reported minor hand/skin lacerations.

17 Front seats assembly recliner defect investigations of Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles
This investigation was opened on Jul. 14, 1999. It was closed on Dec. 28, 2001. This investigation resulted in a vehicle safety recall.
Gm conducted two recalls, 95v-246 and 99v-130, for 741,486 model year 1992-1994 c/k extended cab light trucks, equipped with front high back bucket seats or 60/40 split bench seats. The bolts attaching the seat back to the recliner mechanism could loosen, fatigue, or fracture.
