This investigation was opened on Feb. 9, 2012. It was closed on Jun. 11, 2012. The office of defects investigation (odi) opened this investigation on February 9, 2012 in response to complaints alleging driver door module melting and/or burning in my 2006-2007 Chevrolet trailblazers.

2 Fuel gauge system defect investigations of Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicles
This investigation was opened on Apr. 25, 2011. It was closed on Sep. 23, 2011. The office of defects investigations (odi) analyzed complaint data provided by general motors (gm) as well as complaints submitted to odi from consumers. In total, there were 5,089 unique reports indicating an inaccurate fuel level reading while driving.

3 Fuel gauge system defect investigations of Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicles
This investigation was opened on Jan. 7, 2010. It was closed on May. 23, 2011. The office of defects investigation has received 668 complaints alleging inaccurate fuel gauge reading while driving in model year 2005-07 Chevrolet trailblazer, GMC envoy, Buick rainier, and SAAB 9-7x vehicles. Of the 668 complaints, 58 incidents were alleged to result in a vehicle stall.

4 Fuel pump defect investigations of Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicles
This investigation was opened on Jul. 10, 2007. It was closed on Aug. 28, 2008. During the course of this ea investigation, odi observed that the majority of the complaints (88%) and warranty claims (94%) were reported for vehicles that are registered for use in the "salt belt" region of the us.

6 Fuel pump defect investigations of Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicles
This investigation was opened on Mar. 12, 2007. It was closed on Jul. 10, 2007. Odi has received reports that the fuel pump module leaks fuel and or vapor underneath the vehicle. Gm states, "the failure mechanism is corrosion of the fuel pump module flange which may lead to a fuel leak.

7 Brake lights defect investigations of Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicles
This investigation was opened on Aug. 3, 2004. It was closed on Nov. 4, 2004. This investigation resulted in a vehicle safety recall.
Gm states that some brake/tail lamp bulbs can prematurely become inoperative due to malfunctioning brake/tail lamp sockets. On March 2, 2004, gm initiated a 6-year/72,000 mile "special policy" for 989,487 subject vehicles to inspect and replace the rear brake/tail lamp bulb socket assemblies.
