This investigation was opened on Dec. 11, 2007. It was closed on Feb. 23, 2009. Odi evaluated general motors' (gm) data, conducted consumer interviews, inspected and tested my 2005-2007 gm minivans with regard to the alleged defect of a power sliding door (psd) opening while the vehicle is out of park. Odi identified a high warranty claim rate.

2 Doors latch defect investigations of Chevrolet Venture vehicles
This investigation was opened on Aug. 16, 2007. It was closed on Dec. 11, 2007. Odi has received reports that the power sliding doors opened without command while the vehicle was in motion on model year 2005 and 2006 general motors minivans (Chevrolet uplander/venture, pontiac montana sv6/montana, Buick terraza, and Saturn relay).

3 Body door defect investigations of Chevrolet Venture vehicles
This investigation was opened on Sep. 17, 2004. It was closed on Dec. 22, 2004. This investigation resulted in a vehicle safety recall.
Subject vehicles are available with an optional power sliding door. The interior handle is oriented in the vertical position in the door panel and lines up at the elbow level when the occupant is seated in the 2nd-row outboard position.

4 Steering rack and pinion defect investigations of Chevrolet Venture vehicles
This investigation was opened on Feb. 3, 2004. It was closed on Mar. 17, 2004. Mr. Dennis fike of elkridge, MD, submitted a petition to NHTSA by letter dated January 13, 2004, alleging that a gm dealer informed him that his van was not included in safety recall 02v286 and charged him for the replacement of the steering rack and pinion unit. 5 Suspension defect investigations of Chevrolet Venture vehicles
This investigation was opened on Apr. 23, 2003. It was closed on Jan. 12, 2004. 6 Rear suspension defect investigations of Chevrolet Venture vehicles
This investigation was opened on Nov. 18, 2002. It was closed on Apr. 9, 2003. analysis of odi and gm data has identified 14 incidents of rear trailing arm failures in model year (my) 1997 through 1999 gm u-vans, including two that allegedly resulted in crashes. The trailing arm design in these vehicles is used in the u-vans from my 1997 through 2003.

7 Seat belts defect investigations of Chevrolet Venture vehicles
This investigation was opened on Nov. 18, 2002. It was closed on Nov. 21, 2003. Odi identified 59 reports with the alleged defect. Odi was able to contact 44 of the 59 consumers in order to determine the specific cause of the latch problems.
