#2 - Transmission Fluid Leaking problem of the 2006 Dodge Charger
My 2006 Dodge Charger started leaking transmission fluid. I took it to the dealership, where they told me the problem was some plug that goes into the transmission pan. The service advisor diagnosed the problem without even looking under the car, because he said there had other vehicles in for repair for the same problem. I dropped the car off the following Monday for repair. The receipt states that they replaced an o-ring and bushings. It cost me a little over $153, not overly expensive for what could have been a major problem had the leak not been detected and more fluid lost. I checked in on a forum over the web and noticed other owners of the same vehicle having the same problem. I wanted to know why no recall has been filed for this. Have there not been any other complaints concerning this?. This transmission fluid leaking issue occurred Fri., Dec. 21, 2007.
#3 - Transmission Fluid Leaking problem of the 2006 Dodge Charger
The vehicle having this issue was a 2006 Dodge Charger. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is 2B3KA53H36_. Just this past year I've had to get the transmission seal changed twice and now transmission fluid is leaking again. I've talked to other Charger owners and it seems that this is an ongoing problem when the vehicle gets about 50,000 miles. The failure date was Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007.
#4 - Transmission Fluid Leaking problem of the 2006 Dodge Charger
The vehicle was a 2006 Dodge Charger. I have a 2006 Charger r/t with approx 80k miles. I went into the dealer for an oil change and they said my transmission was leaking. I asked if it was serious and the advisor told me it happens "all the time" on Chargers like mine. What makes it worse is that there is no dipstick to monitor your transmission fluid level. It seems a little odd that a seal would wear out in less than 3 years. Chrysler should recall this for safety reasons. This transmission fluid leaking issue occurred Sunday, March 15, 2009.
