Two problems related to front suspension control arm have been reported for the 2005 Dodge Neon.
Front Suspension Control Arm problem #1
The vehicle involved was a 2005 Dodge Neon. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 1B3ES56C25_. Lower control arm bushings separated from their housing at 38,081 miles on both sides of vehicle. Inspection revealed vehicle is unsafe to drive. Dealer says he has replaced these failed parts on many Dodge Neon vehicles. The failure date was 08/24/09.
Front Suspension Control Arm problem #2
Consumer owns a 2005 Dodge Neon. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility for an alignment when she was informed that the front control arm bushings were defective and the bush rings would need to be replaced. The manufacturer advised that they were aware of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The current and failure mileage was approximately 58,000. This issue happened on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.
