The problem started a few months ago, but I thought it had corrected itself. The past few weeks it has been a constant problem and will not stop. When turning the wipers on mist, they do not work. I have to switch it to the next setting to make them move. The blinkers are either working intermittently or not at all. When turning left, the right one comes one, both flash and stop or it will switch from one to the other. The same thing happens when turning right. Turning on the brights does not work either. It makes the washer fluid and wipers work.
Turn signals fail to operate correctly . When left turn signal switch is operated the right signal flashes . . The windshield wipers fail to operate. . .
A very dangerous problem with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up is occurring on a daily basis when I use the turn signal - windshield wiper - high beam " multi-switch". When trying to signal a left turn by pushing down on the "multi-switch" lever(left turn signal flashes two or three times then right turn signal activates uncommanded) if I try to engage the right turn signal some times it won't signal / flash at all. My truck only has 46,000 miles on it, not a good testimate for Dodge. I read in a Dodge repair website / forum that a lot of the same problems are occurring with the Dodge ram pick-ups and Mini vans. (all years) is there a recall or will a recall be considered in the near future?

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the turn signals, windshield wipers, and hazard lights failed intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who performed a diagnostic test, but was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer replaced the multi functional switch, but the failure was not remedied. The failure continued. The vehicle was not repaired a second time. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 64,200.
The problem began with the ignition remaining on with the key out. The next thing was the headlights not switching between bright and dim. Third came the wipers not turning on all the time. Now the turn signals are working improperly.
