The car involved is a 2001 Ford Expedition. Windshield wipers stopped working while driving in the rain. Ford dealer and Ford "customer assistance" 800-392-Ford refused to repair problem of water in driver compartment fuse box caused by leaking original windshield, resulting in shorting out of the windshield wipers and other dash equipment while driving, with no warning. Ford dealer service dept mgr said: "known problem with Ford Expeditions and f150 trucks". This issue happened on Mon., Jan. 10, 2005.

#2 - Windshield Wiper/washer Switch problem of the 2000 Ford Expedition
The vehicle is a 2000 Ford Expedition. (1) during normal operation of the vehicle, the interior power failed. I had no windshield wipers, no radio, no ac, and no control over power windows. (2) it happened to be raining and I had to pull the vehicle over into a parking lot since the wipers would not work. I checked the fuses and all were in working order. After turning the car off and then on again, I regained electrical power. (3) auto mechanic looked at vehicle and only determined that battery could be replaced. (4) problem has returned and continues to occur at different times. I turn car off and then back on to regain electrical power. It was Oct. 10, 2004 when this windshield wiper/washer switch issue happened.

#3 - Windshield Wiper/washer Switch problem of the 1999 Ford Expedition
The vehicle involved is a 1999 Ford Expedition. Received recall notice for windshield wiper operating in off position. Took to dealer, item continues to operator when in the off position. Dry wipe has resulted in damaged windshield and continuous damage of wiper blades. The failure date was Wed., Jun. 18, 2003.

The vehicle involved was a 1998 Ford Expedition. The vehicle identification number (VIN) of this Ford Expedition is 1FMRU17L9W_. Windshield wipers will not turn off after being turned on. The owner has to pull a fuse loose. Owner has to pull over on the side of the road in the rain in order to hook fuse up to turn wipers on. Dealers says vehicle needs new switch. This problem occurred on Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999.
