There is a knock in the engine upon accelerating. The car has been to plantation Ford twice and each time I am told that this knocking noise is a "characteristic of the engine". Per Ford engineers this engine is no longer used in current production therefore, they can compare my engine to another engine with low mileage. The mechanics at plantation Ford do agree there is a noise in the engine but no one seems to want to fix it. No I have not had any failures or accidents yet. However, common sense tells one that a knock in an engine is not good. Please help me.
