Driver's side electric window switch does not function sporadically.
Consumer stated that new Mustang's passenger side and driver side windows leaked every time it rained. She took vehicle back to the dealer 4-5 times, and they could not fix it. Consumer contacted the manufacturer, and was told that the dealer should fix it, and after going back to the dealer, dealer claimed that the manufacturer should take responsibility and have it repaired. Then, dealer/mechanic told consumer she had a lemon. Also, she was told that since window leakage was not considered a safety issue nothing would be done about it.

Both drivers side, and passenger side automatic windows will not stay on track. Since the day of purchase, both windows have been intermittently sluggish, and on occasion, struggled to move up or down. The drivers side window came off the track first, and was repaired under warranty in 2002. After 3 attempts by the local dealership in 2005 to repair both windows, they remain inoperable. In florida, vehicles are always at risk for underwater submersion, quick action along with properly functioning windows are imperative.
Driver's side power window sticks, unable to turn it up or down. Replaced part twice. Window still sticking.
Drivers side window comes out of track, out of alignment and raises higher than the vinyl roof so the door doesn't close. This has happened 4 times between 3/22/01 - 7/31/01. The last 2 times it malfunctioned, the dealer completely replaced the whole window and regulator. But again it's failed!.

Power windows malfunction, they will not go down, if already down will not come back up.
While driving on the highway at 55mph, the left quarter window exploded sending glass fragments into the back and front seats of the car. Temporarily lost control of the vehicle due to window exploding. Was able to regain control of vehicle, pulled off the highway and notified police and obtained report. Notified insurance company and brought car back to glass shop who replaced the window the first time. Glass shop found a manufacturing flaw during assembly where screws were loose and binding against the glass when window was in the up position. Glass shop tightened loose screws, replaced window and gave no garantee this would fix the problem. Notified Ford of problem but they do not want to take any action. Notified dealer, they told me to call Ford. Catch 22, no one wants to take responsibility. This car is a safety hazard. Glass shop who found the problem is diamond auto glass 145 patterson Ave, wallington NJ 07057 (1-800-235-7487). My next step is to file a complaint against Ford motor company with the bbb. Since the car is leased, iam notifying the bank to see if I can get out of the lease due to the safety hazard of this vehicle.
