#1 - Air Bag Light On problem of the 2003 GMC Envoy
The vehicle involved is a 2003 GMC Envoy xl. I was driving down the highway and all of my instrument panel gauges stopped working and the indicator lights came on for the entire system. This problem continues to happen and GMC will not fix this problem. They say I have too many miles and that my vehicle is not part of the recall. This now continues to happen and the whole electric system is in failure, I can't start the vehicle now and this is 2013. Chronic ongoing problem that poses major safety issues with speed, fuel and much more. This air bag light on issue occurred Feb. 1, 2008.

#2 - Air Bag Light On problem of the 2005 GMC Envoy
The vehicle involved is a 2005 GMC Envoy. The car had a crash. - the owner has a 2005 gms Envoy. In mid February 2007 the contact's vehicle was involved in a head on collision while driving at 35 mph. The contact drove into a tree due to icy road conditions. None of the air bags deployed. There were no passengers in the vehicle. The contact was wearing a seat belt. There were no warning indicator lights on the dashboard before or after the crash. The vehicle was towed to a the dealer, and the insurance company advised the contact that the vehicle was totaled. The contact had requested that the manufacturer issue a computer read out indicating why the air bags didn't deploy. The dealer sent the contact prior to the collision a diagnostic email stating the vehicle was operating normally. A police report was taken. The current and failure mileage were both 25000. It was Tue., Feb. 13, 2007 when this air bag light on issue occurred.

#3 - Air Bag Light On problem of the 2004 GMC Envoy
The car involved was a 2004 GMC Envoy. Right after purchasing. Engine light has been on. Purchased in June/2006, with 40,000miles. 1yr after the rpm gauge quit working, right afterwards,the fuel gauge started messing up, going back & forth,then went out completely, battery/oil gauges are out now. The seat belt lights/airbag lights bing constantly & does not tighten up when put on brakes. When this happens the check gauges light comes on, and at the same time I have difficulty getting it in gear. I am also having trouble setting my cruise control. It was Thursday, Jul. 26, 2007 when this air bag light on issue occurred.

#4 - Air Bag Light On problem of the 2002 GMC Envoy
The vehicle is a 2002 GMC Envoy xl. Air bag deployed for no reason. I was sitting in the vehicle in the garage and just started it and the driver side air bag deployed. The air bag light had come on once or twice while driving but went off. The failure date was 04/10/05.

#5 - Air Bag Light On problem of the 2002 GMC Envoy
The car is a 2002 GMC Envoy. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 1GKDT13SX2_. Consumer had all of the weather proofing on the vehicle replaced by the dealer as well as the clutch assembly . The fan clutch was replaced, the air bag indicator light came on. The consumer was told that nothing could be done if the light wasn't on at the time. The plastic trim from the seat belt broke, the seat belt failed again, the transmission would drag, the engine light was on and made a grinding noise,the drivers side tire was loosing pressure, the passenger inner door seal leaked, the clock on the radio would reset itself, the drivers side seat belt would lock up when the brakes were applied they would skid and pull to the right. The failure date was Tue., Jun. 1, 2004.
#6 - Air Bag Light On problem of the 2002 GMC Envoy
Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 1GKDT13S82_. Continued electrical problems with 2002 GMC Envoy. Such as on-star telephone along with radio/cd player, all four doors failing to lock or open including the back hatch. Service air bag light and engine check lights coming on. Reprogram engine/transmission module, also telephone antenna replaced, short in wiring located due to rubbing/pinching during construction, replaced wiring harness. Hundreds of dollars required to identify short in wiring. Transmission operates sluggish until warmed-up vehicle feels as if the brakes are on until it has moved several blocks. This issue happened on Monday, Apr. 17, 2006.
#7 - Air Bag Light On problem of the 2002 GMC Envoy
The reporting person's vehicle is a 2002 GMC Envoy. The air bag light is constantly illuminated and only dims when the vehicle is turned off. While driving 55 mph, the contact attempted to use the 4 wheel drive, but it would not work. The indicator light remains illuminated; however, none of the 4 wheel drive levels work. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id numbers 01v283000 (power train:transfer case (4-wheel drive)) and 02v222000 (air bags). The current mileage was 127,000 and failure mileage was 95,000. Updated 01-14-08. The consumer stated the 4-wheel light only illuminated when the vehicle was started. Updated 12/12/07. This issue happened on Mon., Feb. 6, 2006.
