#1 - Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 2001 GMC Yukon
The car is a 2001 GMC Yukon xl. : the contact stated the abs system engages at low speeds of approximately 5-10 mph. There is a grinding noise heard as the braking occurs. The brake pedal has to be depressed to the floor before stopping will occur. There is an NHTSA recall, # 05v379000, regarding the hydraulic: antilock. The VIN was not included in the recall. It was May 11, 2006 when this brake grinding noise issue occurred.

#2 - Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 1999 GMC Yukon
The car involved is a 1999 GMC Yukon. The VIN of this vehicle is 1GKEK13R8X_. The contact stated the abs engage dat low speeds, and was making a grinding noise. This vehicle was not included in NHTSA recall 05v379000. The manufacturer has been contacted, and there was no free remedy offered. This issue happened on Fri., Jan. 16, 2004.

#3 - Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 1998 GMC Yukon
The vehicle is a 1998 GMC Yukon. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is 1GKEK13R8W_. The contact stated about three -four weeks ago the abs kicked in at low speeds, and he has no stopping power. The dealer told the contact the bearing hubs needed to be replaced. About two weeks ago he noticed a grinding noise coming from the transmission area. The dealer told him the transfer case needed to be removed and likely replaced. It was Oct. 18, 2005 when this brake grinding noise issue happened.
