GMC Yukon owners have reported 2 problems related to emission control (under the engine and engine cooling category).
: the contact stated while having recall work completed under recall 05v155000 concerning the fuel system, the evaporative emission hose was broken by the dealership. No repairs were made because the broken part is no longer being manufactured. However, the vehicle is now emitting fumes inside the contact's garage where the vehicle is being stored. The consumer stated the check engine light is on. Updated 02/28/06.

On three separate occasions my check engine light came on and all three times the sai (emissions) valves were rusted causing them to fail. The dealer told me since the valves are located directly under the exhaust the condensation falls onto the them causing them to rust. They also said there is no permanent fix for this.
