Emission Control problems of the 2000 Honda Odyssey
Two problems linked to emission control have been reported for the 2000 Honda Odyssey.
Emission Control problem #1
The car was a 2000 Honda Odyssey. Engine check light keeps coming on. Many Honda mechanics have input to this problem. Check code indicates that the solenoid bypass and the two way valve within the emission system have gone bad. We were being blamed for overfilling the gas tank. We do not do this. Finally mechanics find anothed check code indicating the fuel filler neck has a vacuum leak. Once they replaced filler neck, no further problems were encountered. Dealership was vann york Honda in high point nc. The failure date was Mar. 14, 2002.
Emission Control problem #2
The vehicle involved was a 2000 Honda Odyssey. 2000 Honday Odyssey w/40,000 miles. Check engine light came on. Took it to the dealer who advised it was unsafe to drive as the catalytic converter was plugged and would overheat. Two weeks later the part came in and they then advised that the oxygen sensors were also bad. Are these under emission warranty?. This issue happened on Friday, June 14, 2002.
