When it rains there is a leakage in the trunk where the amplifier is located. I had a problem with my radio I was not able to hear anything although everything seemed to have been working on the screen I wasn't able to put volume and no sound was coming out the speaker I later find out that it was the amplifier not working because where the amplifier is located inside the trunk it was filled with water from a rainy day I ended up having to buy another amplifier and I installed it and my sound finally worked I was able to put volume up and down 2 months later after I bought the new one another rainy storm happened and my sound stopped working to my surprise it was filled with water where the amplifier is located and it smelled like burnt the water leakage caused my amplifier to burn I did my research and I found out that im not the only one going through this problem on Lexusclub. Com and google I found various people going through the same problem im assuming this is how the car was manufactured and this can be very dangerous because everything could've burned since its an electrical problem this needs to be a recall there is no coincidence that other Lexus owners are going through the same problem my car has not been in any type of collision nor anything has happened to it to cause that leakage in that area this is a manufacturing problem and needs to be looked at.

My 2014 Lexus is 250 currently does not have working locks. I had previously owned a 2010 Lexus is 250 with issues with the locks. The actuator was changed and the car works for a minimal amount of time and then the actuator stops working again. It is very expensive to fix and the dealership wants $555 dollars to replace it per door. Currently no locks on my 2014 Lexus work. The dealership wants over $2,200 dollars to replace the actuators. This is a safety issue. If my son were to unlock his door in the back and someone were to try to open his door I could not lock it to protect him. If I'm on the wrong side of town and someone tries to get in on the opposite side of my car where I cannot reach the lock, I'm in danger. This is a danger issue and a known issue for Lexus, a recall needs to be done. We payed a lot of money for our cars and expect to at least be safe with locks.
Suspension, control arms, shocks, axels, etc. Aren't strong enough to hold the weight of the car, making the tires have a negative offset and cause extreme amounts of wear on far inside of the tire. The navigational screen conintues to shut off and then turn back on while driving. I find this a concern because it happens when I reverse as well.
Door locks not working properly. Both front door actuators need to be replaced which we were told is a very common problem with this model. This has been unsafe for our teenage driver having to crawl through back doors to unlock her vehicle especially at night.
Unintended acceleration while inching into parking space at very slow rate of speed. Engine raced unexpectedly and car jumped curb with all 4 tires, across a small median, and down another curb with 3 tires, striking a parked car, which stopped forward motion.
I was driving in heavy traffic (stop and go); I was fully stopped with my foot on the brake - I eased off the brake to slowly roll forward - absolutely did not place my foot on or anywhere near the gas pedal - as I eased off brake, I felt a strong "surge" from the front of the car- the car accelerated and I slammed in to a truck that was directly in front of me- I looked at the dashboard as this was happening and the "check engine" light and the "traction" light were both on - I tried to brake but the brake pedal was hard - I was stopped due to the impact of hitting the truck-- I am attaching the edr report as retrieved by a company Lexus contracts with.

Lexus has a wide know issue with melting dashboards and door panels. My dashboard is melting. It creates a glare when driving, it houses critical electrical components that can pose a huge safety hazard. I drive this car daily and frequently transport passengers such as family and friends. Lexus refuses to do anything about it. Car interior repair shops have no solution to this problem. Lexus acknowledges that this problem is widespread but is not doing anything to prevent tragedy from occurring. The condition continues to get worse to the point that mechanics are refusing to work on anything that requires have to lay hands on the dashboard because it is literally melting and falling apart. They don't want to be held responsible for any further damage. This poses another safety risk as I can not fix any problems behind the dashboard at all if mechanics are refusing to do work on it. I have exhausted all search efforts looking for a solution. I am genuinely concerned about my safety and others. Lexus has manufactured thousands upon thousands of these vehicles and they continue to be driven on the public roads. Please help.

Engine light comes on and the car stalls or cuts off. The vsc light and traction light is on also. There's a burning smell that happens often. In addition my acceleration pedal causes me issues also which has put a whole in mat by getting stuck from time to time.

I was driving and out of no where my indicator light said low voltage steering. I waited a couple of days to get an oil change and have the car inspected and the service guy wrote up the order. I gave the service guy my keys and noticed he never moved the car, I questioned him as to why and he said the car won't start. I replied to his statement and said how is that I just cut it off. The service guy had a tech test the battery and couldn't read it because the voltage was extremely low.
Harness - failure of the airbag harness causing the srs light to stay on. This is a major safety issue and very costly $3,00. 00+. It also appears to be widespread affecting various manufacture years including my 2008 model Is250. I believe this warrants a review.

Melting dashboard recall. I have a 2009 Lexus is 250 melting chipped dashboard and doors. It's very hard to see while driving due to the fact that the dashboard causes a glare in the window. Also the smell of melting plastic dash is sickening. I have recently taken my car to a Lexus dealership to have sewell replace the airbags every since then my navigation system has been making weird noises and now it's completely not working black screen and the buttons on the side is not working. To make matters worse my ac is on and I can't turn off because of the buttons are not working. Very frustrating and I'm freezing.

As I was about to park the car on a city street. The electrical steering suddenly failed. It became extremely difficult to turn the wheel. It could be the connectors of the electrical steering cause the sudden loss.
This is the third Lexus I have had that the automatic door locks don't work. All 4 actuators are bad after I even had one replaced. I have had this happen I all three Lexus that I have owned. I have talked to Lexus about this and the service people say that they see more than they should go. Bad boy. Lexus/Toyota does not think it's a problem. This becomes a safety hazard locking the doors manually and having to open one door with a key and reach around and open the others as needed. Specially with all the crime around us. I would like to see either Toyota or Lexus step up and admit they have a problem and fix them.
This car has had nothing but electrical problems. First the door lock went bad, then the sunroof went bad, then the infotainment system was unusable for 2 days (it was widely publicized on social media as a faulty system update). To top it off, each and every time I attempted to get these issues resolved the dealership kept damaging my vehicle. I contacted Lexus corporate and they refused to get involved stating this was an issue with the dealership and suggested I contacted the owners of the dealership. Even though these were botched warranty repairs. I even contacted the national center for dispute settlement (ncds) to have the warranty extended from 50,000 to 100,000 miles and their reply was these issues did not affect the safety of my vehicle. From talking to the people at the dealership that check my vehicle in, electrical problems in this particular model are common. To this day, the infotainment (which has a navigation system) still randomly restarts itself. This is unsafe if this happens when you are using the navigation system while on the highway.
Two weeks after buying the vehicle I began to notice that the driver's side door would often time take two or more tries to open with either pulling the door handle or using the keypad. The problem was intermittent in nature and my work schedule was busy so I dealt with it until the problem got significantly worse. The car got to the point in which on 11/27/2015 I recorded a video attempting to get into the vehicle to document my concern . I took the vehicle to the dealership on 11/28/2015 because I figured the issue required immediate attention and I was told that I needed an appointment of which the only convenient appointment was for the next week 12/5/2015. I spoke to andre my service advisor about the issue and left the vehicle for service. By 1 pm that Saturday I received a call from andre saying that the issue could not be recreated and that I would basically have to come to pick the vehicle up. I told him that I live in boca and had very limited time during the week. He said he would talk to a manager to basically get permission for the repair. The issue was diagnosed as a problem with stretching of the door cable assembly and it was replaced. The issue happened again yesterday and I again wanted to replicate the issue prior to complaining. This morning 12/18/2015 I attempted to open the vehicle and yet again the door would not open . I bought a brand new vehicle because I did not want to have issues of this nature. I know that even new vehicles have issues, but this issue has inconvenienced me severely.
This vehicle went into the Lexus dealership for a recall on the fuel system. After receiving it back from the dealership, the vehicle shuts off completely without notice. The vehicle has been back to the dealership for repairs and each time it is returns, within a week the vehicle shuts down. As of October, the dealership has received almost $8000. 00 for repairs. This vehicle is becoming a death trap. It would shut down after stopping at a stop light or stop sign, but the last two times, it has shut off while driving. Once on the interstate. We are asking that something be done immediately, this car is unsafe to drive and the dealership continues to find other issues to make money, but has failed to repair the issue caused by the recall repair. Lexus headquarters has been notified. The maryland attorney general has been requested to intervene and assist us with this issue. Your help would truly be appreciated.
My husband was driving on I 295 in maryland, when the car suddenly shutdown. He stated he was going approximately 55 miles per hour and was fortunate enough to be able to maneuver from the middle lane to the side of the road. This is not the first time the vehicle shutdown completely. The previous incidents occurred after stopping at a stop sign or signal. The vehicle has been to the Lexus dealership in maryland for repairs, but each time(at least 4 now) within a 6-7 days, the vehicle shuts down. These incidents did not start until after the dealership took care of the fuel recall, April of 2015.
Te car is flood inside because theres a ac drain block and this produce melt and smelles and da,ages and oxident the floor. And electrical cables can make a electrical failure amd activated the airbags.
"takata recall" the second day I bought my car it has been giving me problems. I have had to replace my engine/motor not long after I purchased my car. I'm still having the same problems with my car and new motor. It runs hot and I have brought it to 6 different mechanic as well as to the Lexus dealership multiple times and I have had to pay out of pocket for a lot of things. I also went on Lexus. Com and found out that my car is a lemon buy back and was never told by the dealership I bought it from or the Lexus dealership in baton rouge louisiana that it was a lemon. I had to fund out on my own. It very wrong that I bought a car and not told my anyone how the car is a lemon.
The contact owns a 2008 Lexus is 250. The contact stated the touch screen navigation system failed to operate. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure was unable to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage were 80,000.
The navigation/entertainment system simply stopped working while the car was in motion. The dealer couldn't restart the system and is waiting for the replacement unit. The car is new (purchased less than 2 months ago).
I recently leased a 2014 Lexus is 250 on 11/24/2013 and ever since the first month of having the vehicle I have been having issues with driver side mechanism. The issue happens periodically and without warning. The problem happening is when I attempt to open the locked door with the door handle or with the remote the car will continuously beep and not open the driver side door. All of the other doors including the trunk will open but except the driver?s side door. The only way to enter the vehicle is through the driver side will be to go to the passenger side and open the driver?s side door through the inside and the go around again to the driver?s side and enter the vehicle. I have taken my vehicle in for repair 5 times to the Lexus dealership and they have yet corrected the issue. I have a video of the issue if it is needed.
I brought my car in for service on 9/10 and had my brake booster and water pump replaced. I was out of town following that and did not drive my car much. On 9/21, I got into my car and the navigation screen was not working. It displays correctly and the backup camera works but it is unresponsive to my touch. I cannot adjust the air, radio, or navigation. I read many, many forums online of people having the same issue as me.
2 months after my warranty ended my touch screen went out. I talk with my service representative at northside Lexus and he told me unfortunately the only resolution was to replace it but it would cost 50% of the labor and parts. I told him this was a defective item due to the screen suddenly went out while I was starting the car. For a 30k vehicle, you would think that Toyota would own up to this issue and the other issue I complained on with the melting of the interior doors and dashboard. I thought the dealership since they had numerous complaints would be loyal to their customers would step in and say they would take care of it but silly me who thought there is still some loyalty in this world. My family has bought 6 new Lexus vehicles and all was happy until we slowly started seeing different issues arise. I guess Toyota and northside Lexus doesn't mind loosing loyal customers!.
Repeatedly, while driving at night, my headlights will unexpectedly turn off. I have to then turn the headlight switch completely off and on again to get the headlights to turn back on.
Headlights completely shut off while driving my 2007 Lexus Is250. This has happened a total of 4 times since I purchased the car 5 months ago. I had to switch headlights off and back on again in order for them to work.
Back up camera malfunction sometimes put in reverse. The screen goesn blank with some color lines going all over the screen.
The visual displays on the center dashboard console indicating hvac and audio information for the Lexus is 250 c are so light as to be virtually invisible to the driver, particularly in bright sun and when the driver is wearing sunglasses. This causes the driver to take his eyes off the road for prolonged periods of time as he tries to discern information which should be clearly visible with just a glance. Distracting a driver from giving his full attention to the road can constitute a serious safety hazard.

2007 Lexus Is250 headlamps sporadic intermittent failure to stay on and it can only be reactivated by turning the inside cabin headlamp switch on/off to keep it to stay on for an unpredictable several minutes of use. I've replaced the xenon bulbs several times already but the failure persists to happen.
The headlights on my 2007 Lexus is 250 keep going out while I'm driving, the dealership(Lexus of atlantic city) want me to pay $600. 00 for the replacement of the computer that is causing the problem. I talked with a former Lexus service tech and he said they have had this problem for a while but dont want to address it because of the cost involved and the negative press. I have been stopped by the state police and almost ticketed for this problem. I have children and had to pull over as many as 5 times during a 40 min trip, turn the lights off and then back on to continue to my destination. This occurs when I drive in the dark. Thank you in advance for your response.
