I will add my complaint to previous reporter. I have had to replace the headlamp 2 times due to water in the assembly of the headlamp. The right side headlight failed. There is moisture under the glass which shorted out the light. Online I have seen hundreds of complaints about this happening to the same model Lexus. The repair for this headlight runs over $1,500. Lexus corporation refuses to take responsibility for an obvious design flaw.

My 2004 Lexus Rx330's exterior lights have always leaked. Front and back but the front is the worst. This now to the point that the headlights are so poor that I have been advised not to drive at night. Lexus will not correct this issue unless you pay them a whopping $400 + per unit! no thank you! I soon hope to purchase something not made by Lexus!.
Severe condensation build-up in passenger side headlight.
On the above date noticed headlight out and water in drivers side headlamp, replaced bulb headlamp dry out on its own. On 03/12/2013 brought my Lexus to dealership for recall on mat/acceleration problem. Service dept noticed headlight was out and it should be replaced, I advised them of the condensation in headlamp and they stated that to fix problem would cost about 2 thousand dollars I advised them that not to fix problem, and if they could notify Lexus corp about possible good will and they stated no, car is out of warranty.

After a rain storm, my driver side headlight was filled with water and the light does not turn on. The Lexus dealer quoted me price of $1566. 23 to replace. I learned of a class action lawsuit against Toyota for failure to address this wide scale problem. Please include my complaint in this matter.
Drivers side headlamp got water inside the housing causing the hid headlight to short out. Housing seems to be fully sealed.
Like many other people, I am complaining about the headlight condensation on my Lexus Rx330. The passenger seat headlight fogs up so that it is very cloudy. This affects the quality of the light beam at night as it makes the light dimmer. I've asked Lexus to fix this problem and they quoted me close to $2000 for something that really should be a safety recall. I am not the only person experiencing this problem. I've done some research and found that there is currently a lawsuit going on about this problem. This problem needs to be fixed immediately.
This is an ongoing problem with the Lexus RX models caused by moisture and condensation forming inside the headlight there has been a Lexus TSB regarding this however dealers apparently are free to decide if they rectified it or not. The computer module in the headlight is damaged by the condensation leading to a repair costing almost $3,000 the part alone being $1,900. Mine ultimately failed at about 54800 miles though it was reported to dealer as a condensation when the dealer chose to do nothing about. This is a known issue with the Lexus RX so much so it has created a whole sub-market in buying the faulty ones removed by Lexus refurbishing and reselling even those are selling for $1,100 if you can even find one. Known manufacturing defect, TSB issued by Lexus, Lexus will not address if failure ultimately occurs at 48,000 miles if at all, headlight fails, consumer safety at risk, repair requires total replacement of headlight, seal fails, ballust computer fails, headlight does not function, no lighting when driving, Lexus had complete knowledge of the defect, Lexus did not uniformly correct the manufacturing defect to date.
Large amount of condensation with water droplets in driver side and passenger side headlight assemblies. Hid bulbs are out. Repair quotes are for $1684. 00 per headlight assembly, with additional labor costs of $315. 00. According to repair shop this is a common problem with Lexus RX 330 2006 models.
Water routinely collects inside of both headlights whenever I wash the car or when raining. Light failure due to water inside of the headlights is reported by many other Rx330 owners on various internet forums. I'm very afraid that lights might fail when driving at night. This is a safety issue. Lexus refuses to recognize the problem and to issue a recall since so many cars are affected. Local dealer admitted that there is a widespread problem. Please help.
I purchased a used Lexus 2004 RX 330 from a Lexus dealership and a 4 months after I noticed a large amount of condensation in the drivers front headlight1 month later while driving at night the 1 headlight went out completely and I discovered a technical service bullentin issued from Lexus but no recall. This is clearly a widespread problem and a safety issue, Toyota has yet to fix they want me to pay $500 out of a $1800 repair!.
2004 Lexus Rx330 awd SUV. Massive water condensation in the driver side of the headlight assembly. Car milage is about 45k.
My left front headlight had condensation due to the manufacturer not sealing the light correctly, Lexus was aware of this problem and fixed the left one while it was still under warranty. Now my right one has rust inside of it which has blown out one bulb. . I contacted Lexus corporate who agreed to pay half of the $1800. 00 it cost to repair it. In addition to the front lights, now my rear lights actually have bugs inside of them which in turn will cause the bulbs to blow as well. I spoke with a dealership who acknowledged Lexus is aware that this model had the problem that is why they no longer make those lights. This is not only a safety hazard, but a manufacturer defect and one that should be recalled. Lexus will do nothing because my warranty has expired. Does someone need to get hurt, hit a deer, child, pedestrian or cause an accident before Lexus takes care of an issue that they are very aware of? with the amount of money that Lexus charges for their vehicles one would assume that they would rectify this situation. .
I own a 2005 Lexus RX 330. I have been having a problem with the condensation build up within the headlight for about 6 months. I went to the Lexus dealer to find out the problem they charged a $110. 00 service charge to tell me that I need to replace my headlight assembly. The cost to replace is about $2,200. This is a disgrace. My headlight does not work at all. I have not been able to drive my vehicle at night for sometime now. I contacted Lexus customer care and explained to them that this seems to be a major problem and they should have done a recall on this vehicle. The response from Lexus is that they would review my case and someone would call me back with a decision. Someone did call me back offering to pay 25% of the total bill of 2,200 from the Lexus dealership. I was livid. Lexus sells defective vehicles and expects customers to pay the repairs. I don't know what this world is coming to, but this is ridiculous. The mileage failure was 89,000. I will never by Lexus again.
Purchased a certified used Rx330 and one week later noticed condensation inside headlight lenses after driving in rain or washing the vehicle that takes several days to clear out causing severe reduced visibility when driving at night. The condensation is an obvious safety problem but the Lexus dealer said it is not covered under warranty or any recall. I think Lexus should take care of such an important safety concern as lighting the highway ahead.

The passenger side head light was replaced and the driver side has condensation inside of it. The failure mileage was 88000 and current mileage was 96000.
Moisture invades sealed headlamp housing causing lamp(s) to fail. Lexus has redesigned the part. No voluntary recall even though Lexus knows this is a defective part. Out of warranty replacement cost is $1650 for one headlamp assembly plus 1hr. Labor. That's nearly $2000 for one headlight!!.

Condensation buildup has formed from the interior of the driver/passenger headlights. This is due to a manufacturer design flaw of the headlight seal which allows water to penetrate the headlight housing. Water damage has caused the lowbeam lights to fail. Lexus has qouted over $1400 for replacements, and fails to acknowledge their design flaw. Impacted visibility while driving will lead to an accident.

We own a 2005 Lexus Rx330. Moisture accumulated in one of our headlights causing it to fail. Cost of replacement was $1800,00 which after much ado was paid for by Lexus. Now our other headlight is doing the same and Lexus will only pay for half, which would be very generous except that this a manufacturing defect and should not be my responsibility. Please help us get this replaced at no expense to us. Thank you.

Certified 2005 Lexus RX 330 has headlight condensation one week after I brought it home. Notified the dealer and they told me that its not covered under the certified warranty. I have the hid headlights that turn with you around corners, which will cost $1800 to replace! from what the dealer told me, they used to honor this defect but there were too many and it got too costly for them! a certified Lexus should not have defective headlights.
The contact owns a 2005 Lexus Rx330. The contact stated that there was an excessive build-up of condensation in the passenger headlight. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer two years after the contact noticed the failure the vehicle was not repaired. I have a 2005 Lexus Rx330 in which when raining, headlight condensation occurs. I'm sure as the condensation worsens, the clear lens will start to yellow impairing visibility and ultimately hid lamp failure. Whenever it rains or I get a car wash it is most obvious and annoying. Lexus of bay ridge replaced only 1 light and now the other one is having the same problem.
My car has a problem with excess moisture and condensation in the headlight housing. It has continued to worsen for the past several years. Lexus refused to recognize this problem as its responsibility until December, 2013 when it issued a warranty enhancement to all Lexus RX owners that had this problem. That notice indicated that parts were being manufactured and would be available by may, 2014. My car was inspected and was advised the repair would be made as soon as the parts were available. In early July I contacted my dealer (cherry hill Lexus) who referred me to Lexus corporate. I was advised by Lexus corporate that parts would be available to fix the problem by the end of July. Now, 8 months after the warranty enhancement was announced, parts are still not available to fix the problem. The dealer says contact Lexus and Lexus says contact the dealer; the run-a-round is getting a little old. The serious nature of this problem was recognized by a us federal judge in in ho v. Toyota, the court said in the instant matter, the court finds that plaintiffs successfully showed that the alleged defect posed a genuine safety risk because a headlamp flickering or going out at night or in inclement weather could put the car's driver in danger. A reasonable consumer would consider this risk material because of the inherent risks of physical injury in the event of a headlamp-related accident, or the costs associated with continually repairing problematic headlamps. Lexus's enhanced warranty followed the issuance of the court's above opinion. My car has the same type of problem as discussed in the opinion. Any help you could provide in having this needed repair would be appreciated.
