The contact was able to drive the vehicle to the residence and noticed that the air was coming from the driver’s side rear wheel. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with corrosion on the abc drive system and that the abc drive system needed to be replaced. The vehicle not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the nhsta hotline. The failure mileage was 88,795.
Tl the contact owned a 2006 mercedes-benz cls55. The contact stated the bolt used to secure the rear subframe loosened and caused the body to detach from the subframe. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 123,000.

Immediately after the warning light illuminated, the rear of the vehicle dropped to the ground. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the contact was advised that the abc system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred approximately two months later. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for further repairs. Driving my mercedes Cl55 amg, heard a pop sound got out looked around saw nothing arrived home parked auto overnight next morning a large leak which appeared to be some type of fluid under the engine of the vehicle. Contacted Mercedes Benz was told recall was issued but not for my VIN# or vehicle year. Auto no longer under warranty and mercedes will not consider repair the car under the recall issued for the 2004 year. Cost to repair vehicle 3500. 00.
