The Sentra has a light on the dashboard that alerts the driver if the passenger airbag is disabled. This light on my Sentra will sometimes come on even though a 150 pound person is sitting in the passenger seat. Initially I was able to get the light to turn off by braking fast. A few nights ago, I could not get the light to turn off for a 20 minute drive even though a 150 pound person is sitting in the seat. Per Nissan, the air bag is providing no codes for this issue and unless I can recreate it there is nothing they can do. I have contacted Nissan customer service and was told to video tape the light, go to a different dealer who can then read the codes of which there are not any or to trade in the vehicle. I am concerned that the air bag will not properly deploy in a front end collision.

My daughter had an accident yesterday and she hit someone on the front drivers side. The impact was on the front drivers side and the front fender and other parts of the front bumper. The disturbing part of this is that the airbag did not deploy. The policeman and tow truck driver were very concerned that the airbag did not employ. She could have been seriously injured. She appears to be sore at this point.
I was traveling to my new home when I realized the car in front of me was completely stopped to make a left hand turn. I slammed on my brakes, but hit the car in front of me. My air bags did not deploy. I am concerned because the crash caused 4 fractures in my right ankle and foot. Had the airbags deployed, would they have held me back in my seat and lessoned the crash impact on my foot/ankle?.

I was sitting at the red light when a suburban was speeding and wasn't paying attention. He hit me from the back which cased a 4 car wreck. My trunk was literally pushed to my front seat. The fron of my car was under the car in front of me. My car was totaled. I hit my shoulder on the steering wheel along with my neck and shoulders. This wreck made me disabled. The air bags never deployed. It was a major accident wasn't much left of the car and my air bags never came out. The air bags more than likely would have saved me from that horrible impact. I am now disabled for life and my doctor mentioned the air bags would have taking the force of the injuries.

The driver's front airbag and side airbag deployed. The passengers' front airbag deployed however the passenger's side airbag did not deploy. I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra and involved in a crash. Another driver turned left in front of me. I hit her going approximately 45mph. My front driver's side hit her front driver's side. My air bag did not deploy. At 45mph the air bag should have deployed. I now have neck injuries. There was a little over $2,200 damage to the front of my car and it was not drivable due to the front left tire being pushed almost all the way into the wheel well. I just saw a safety recall for other Nissan's for airbag problems and am wondering if the Sentra's should have been included. Thank-you.
