Nissan Sentra owners have reported 7 problems related to radio/tape cd player (under the equipment category).
I own a 2004 Nissan Sentra. My cd sticks in the cd player and can never eject it out. After search for solutions online, it seems many people who own the same model have the same problem.

I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra. I've had it for a year when it started squealing under the hood, it also would shake for at least 5 minutes everytime I started it in the morning. Eventually the car wouldn't start and I was told I needed a new engine. The gauges didn't warn me of any problems before hand. I took the car for regular services, always on time for oil changes. The cd player was also replaced once and still doesn't work. The car no longer has warranty and I don't have the money for a new engine at this point in time.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Sentra. While driving 15 mph, the gear shift indicator would not shift into second gear. The contact was unable to shift into reverse and heard a grinding noise when shifting. The dealer stated that the shifter was too tight and they loosened the shifter on two occasions; however, the failure continued. The dealer stated that the transmission shifter caused the failure. As of December 10, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 93 and current mileage was 12,998. Updated 01-14-08. The consumer stated she heard a cracking noise coming from under the hood, the right rear tire had a leak, the window regulator was replaced, the shift knob was screwed on too far which was making it difficult for the consumer to shift gears. The cd changer would not eject cd's. The hazard switch failed, the windshield wiper would stick intermittently. Updated 01/11/08.

Oem 6-disc in dash cd changer shows err2, and does not play cds. I was told by the dealer on 4-9-07 that it would cost approximately $79 to diagnose the problem. I have done a little research, and discovered that this seemed to be a very wide spread problem with the Nissan in dash cd changer. Also, that Nissan seemed to be ignoring or denying the problem. Ak.

Vehicle shut off completely and without prior warning while traveling on the highway. This problem occurred on several occasions. Dealer was aware of the problem. Several repair attempts were made but none of them were successful. Noise came from the right wheel area while driving. The dealer replaced all wheels per a safety campaign. The inside door handle was loose. The dealer replaced the door pad but that didn't remedy the problem. The rear passenger side bumper was loose. The dealer secured it. The radio was inoperative. The dealer special order a new radio. The right front window was inoperative from the main switch.

I own a 2002 Sentra spec v and this is my second one in 10 months that has failed to perform as it should. The current vehicle has had 1 new engine, 1 exhaust manifold, 2 window regulators, 2 new windows, three new door speakers, two shift knobs, 1 timing belt tensioner, 1 third brake light, and is in the process of getting it's third engine. Car consumes oil at a rapid rate of 2 quarts per 1200 miles. Tried an informal resolution and Nissan rejected. Dealer agrees the car should be bought back. Symptoms that I have, lead to possible engine fire and is being addressed with a recall. I was sent home in a vehicle that was unsafe and they did not want to fix this last time and were denying the car had any problem. I fought a long hard battle just to get it fixed.
