1 Transmission Noise problem of the 2018 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 07/15/2019

There are two issues with my 2018 Toyota Camry with 10,250 miles and under warranty. (1) one is a knocking sound that a Toyota dealer I took it to said is an engine problem and they have pulled the engine but they have not figured out what the problem is yet. This problem was missed when I took it to another Toyota dealer for the 10,000 oil change on July 30th, and expressed concern about a noise I thought could be a muffler noise. . This engine could have failed and only lucky for me it didn't while I was driving. This vehicle should be on the recall list for this engine problem and for the (2) transmission powertrain problem. When I pull out into major streets from a side street, I have to do it very gradually and cannot accelerate quickly because it will miss gears. This also could be dangerous when trying to pass other traffic on busy highways of one lane in each direction.

2 Transmission Noise problem of the 2012 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 06/20/2016

Takata recall less than 4 years although with little high mileage, my brand new 2012 Toyota Camry makes noises when I drive on the highway. I took the car to balise Toyota scion of warwick to check and service advisor mentioned that the noise is coming from the transmission. They recommended replacing the transmission at my own cost. And the noise is getting louder and louder. Why is a brand new less four years old car need replacing transmission? I have 2 friends who owned the same car and model and year, and they have same problems with their transmission. They had their transmission replaced under the warranty because of lower mileage. Therefore, I think 2012 Toyota Camry's transmission has problem.

3 Transmission Noise problem of the 2004 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 12/15/2013

On my 2004 Toyota Camry le, at the exact moment I applied the brakes at idle speed, there was an extremely loud and high revolution racing sound. This condition was extreme. I changed gear selector from "drive" to "park" and there was no change in racing sound or noise level. However, car did not surge forward and no additional brake pressure was required. I turned engine off and car restarted normally. A mechanic checked out my car and found nothing wrong. A similar incident occurred about 2-3 months earlier while backing up at idle speed. Not sure if it is possible for engine to disengage from transmission, which might explain why car did not surge forward (and backward respectively). This same car in March of 2010 experienced unintended acceleration (parked under a cell tower) which was much worse than described above-I filed a complaint in 2010 for this.

7 Transmission Noise problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 01/07/2008

Ongoing problem with my 2007 Camry sedan le I am feeling and hearing vibration and noise coming from underneath the seat this has been back and forth to dealership and reported to Toyota motor sales, the dealer and motor sales told me that this is normal with these types of cars. I find this hard to believe I have researched on consumer reports and found alot of problems with the transmission. I need this resolved and need to know if it the transmission shouldn't this be covered under my warranty? I know Toyota does not want to hear this complaint as it would interfere in there great report on how they are a great gas saving car, but what will it take to have this resolved hopefully not a fatality.
