Toyota Venza owners have reported 355 problems for their cars built in the 7 model years listed in the chart below. The chart shows the number of problems reported during all service years for each model year of Toyota Venza. The 2009 Toyota Venza cars have the most problems reported (160 problems).
The following chart shows the 22 most common problems for Toyota Venza cars. The number one most common problem is related to the vehicle's vehicle speed control (54 problems). The second most common problem is related to the vehicle's equipment (47 problems).

It would not be fair to compare the older model year Toyota Venza to a new one in terms of the problems reported since older vehicles have been in service longer and more problems should be reported. In order to compare the reliability across Venza model years, we use the PPMY index which is defined as the problems reported per thousand vehicles per Year. A smaller PPMY index implies a better reliability for the model year under study.
PPMY = P / S / Y * 1000
Where P = total problems reported during the life of a Toyota Venza model year; S = total units sold of the model year; Y = years since the debut of the model year (the age of the vehicle).
The result is shown in Table 3.
Another way to measure the reliability across the model years of Toyota Venza is to use the number of problems reported during the vehicles' first year in service, as shown in the Table 4.
