On June 11, 2007, he arrived at wellesley Volkswagen and spoke to the service manager. Wellesley would not provide a loaner vehicle, but the contact was able to retrieve his vehicle within a few days. However, the brakes continue to grind. It was May. 15, 2007 when this automatic transmission issue occurred.
Automatic Transmission problem #2
The vehicle involved is a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. Driving down road at normal speeds(55-65) an annoying clunking consistently going on under front drivers side of car. Taken it to sendell Volkswagen 4-5 times now and a cv shaft is bad but they say Volkswagen of America refused repair and said drive it til it breaks or gets worse! and a clunking noise is coming from transaxle at light throttle at 55-60 and other speeds with the dsg gearbox. They heard it and `can't seem to put their finger on it' so they stuffed foam under panels inside car to deaden the noise. Still no repair to date!!. This problem occurred on May. 1, 2007.
Automatic Transmission problem #3
The car was a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. The car began to have jerky shifts and then began lurching at slow speeds in first. In certain cases the gear would grab and then let go allowing the car to suddenly roll backwards on hills. The mechatronics unit was replaced after 35000 miles and then the second unit lasted for 1300 miles. I am now waiting for my second replacement unit. Note this is a Jetta gli with 2. 0t and 6 speed dsg transmission. This problem occurred on Wednesday, Apr. 1, 2009.
Automatic Transmission problem #4
The car involved was a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. Vehicle identification number (VIN): 3VWBJ71K57_. 2007 vw Jetta 2. 0 w/ dsg - dual mass flywheel failure identified by dealership. This has been an issue with 2007-2009 vw's with dsg. This automatic transmission problem happened on Apr. 2, 2010.
Automatic Transmission problem #5
The car is a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. My transmission jerks / jolts significantly while my car is coming to a stop. This occurs pretty regularly, usually once on my way to work every morning when I pull up to a stop light after driving for approx. 25 minutes. It does this jolting no matter who is driving the car. This began happening last year. I have taken it into my dealer twice and they were unable to diagnose and resolve the issue. They did make me aware of a recent recall on a specific type of vw transmission for the same complaint of "jolting" however my type of transmission is currently not covered in the current recall. I believe they have a bigger issue with their transmissions. The failure date was Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009.
