I have a safety concern. When my vehicle was assembled, someone decided to have the workers not remove the protective film from the plastic screen on the navigation system that would typically be released. I assume this saved money and time during production. However, that film has deteriorated and crinkled over time, making it difficult to see the screen, especially at night. This does not seem acceptable, and I have been told that the remedy is costly, which upset me as removing the film should have been part of the assembly procedure.

Sometimes the key will not turn or it seems as if the car is locked. The key will get stuck in the ignition and will not turn. Sometimes the key will turn but will not allow me to take it out very easily. Lastly the key sometimes will not enter the hole. Tried switching the sides over and sometimes it works after 2 or 3 tries.
I noticed an srs light on every time after I start the engine and the engine mounting are broken and lose. .
Subframe rusted through on the passenger side where the cause is a manufacturer defect of condensation from the air conditioning dripping directly above onto the subframe on the passenger side, which created a perforation of the passenger side subframe. Subframe holds the suspension and steering components together and if the passenger side frame from the manufacter defect were to break traveling at highway speed, the car would loose control and cause accidents. The vehicle was inspected at an independent facility and is ready to be inspected again upon request.

Transmission lockup at highway speeds. Vehicle would drop speed from 70 mps to 10 mps without warning in a matter of seconds almost causing loss of control & crash with cars following on highway. As described in Acura service bulletin 04-020. Car was fitted with repair part but did not prevent it from occurring again over time & miles from driving.
We had to replace our transmission after 70000miles, we had to replace a drivers side electric window twice, check engine light always stays on nothing wrong, car stalled going 45mphs fixed that problem other lights now stay on no matter if nothing is wrong, this car isn't worth the money too many problems and they tell me my VIN number doesn't fit the recalls but we have the same problems, I'm going to start raising a stink it's redicous,.

Parked car. Moved transmission lever to what I thought was park (push straight up). Started to swing out of car putting weight on outside foot. The transmission was actually in neutral and the key was removed - it can be removed in any gear position just like the 2001 Honda accord recall says. The Acura of the same year never had the recall even though it is using the same defective part numbers. Car started to roll backwards and I was forced to stop car using foot and hand pressure resulting in slight sprain to wrist requiring no additional care. This is a troubling safety issue that was actually recalled for Honda brand vehicles only ignoring Acura brand defects.
My car started down shifting at inappropriate times and again not accelerating when pressing gas pedal. The transmission is Clunking when it downshifts and is not engaging when accelerating.
