The contact owns a 2016 Acura Ilx. While the contact's daughter was driving 2 mph the vehicle jerked forward independently while approaching a stop. Additionally, the vehicle failed to slow down even after the driver removed her foot from the accelerator pedal and depressed the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice, but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that the contact should bring the vehicle back to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 6,000. Updated 07/21/lj updated 11/27/2017.
