As I made a left turn the steering wheel locked; I had to make a sudden stop, after which I could control the steering again - I had drifted into the leftmost lane @ that point in a matter of milliseconds. Acura say there's nothing wrong with the car although they admit that this should never happen under any circumstances.

2 Steering Wheel problem of the 1998 Acura Integra

Failure Date: 02/14/2000

While following a slight curve the steering wheel locked causing the vehicle to veer to the right of the road and crash against cement blocks which were lined up along the edge of the road, resulting in damages in excess of 5000. 00. Acura does not want to be responsible and did not want to fix the problem under warranty.
