The contact owns a 2014 Acura Mdx. The contact heard an intermittent noise behind the dashboard. While making a turn at various speeds, the power steering seized and caused temporary loss of control. Initially, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The dealer later discovered that the steering motor could be the cause of the failure; however, there was no remedy. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 250.
