The contact stated while driving at various speeds exceeding 30 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended upon depression of the accelerator pedal; however, the rpms increased. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. No further information was available. The failure mileage was 60,000.
